South Korea is pushing for the advancement of crop production technology to achieve food self-sufficiency and meet the demand for safe food. A medium-sized satellite for agriculture is being launched in 2023 with the aim of collecting and providing information on agriculture, not only in Korea but also in neighboring countries. The satellite is to be equipped with various sensors, though reference data for ground information are lacking. Hyperspectral remote sensing combined with 1st derivative is an efficient tool for the identification of agricultural crops. In our study, we develop a system for hyperspectral analysis of the ground-based reflectance spectrum, which is monitored seven times during the cultivation period of three soybean crops using a PSR-2500 hyperspectral sensor. In the reflection spectrum of soybean canopy, wavelength variations correspond with stages of soybean growths. The spectral reflection characteristics of soybeans can be divided according to growth into the vegetative (V)stage and the reproductive (R)stage. As a result of the first derivative analysis of the spectral reflection characteristics, it is possible to identify the characteristics of each wavelength band. Using our developed monitoring system, we observed that the near-infrared (NIR) variation was largest during the vegetative (V1-V3) stage, followed by a similar variation pattern in the order of red-edge and visible. In the reproductive stage (R1-R8), the effect of the shape and color of the soybean leaf was reflected, and the pattern is different from that in the vegetative (V) stage. At the R1 to R6 stages, the variation in NIR was the largest, and red-edge and green showed similar variation patterns, but red showed little change. In particular, the reflectance characteristics of the R1 stage provides information that could help us distinguish between the three varieties of soybean that were studied. In the R7-R8 stage, close to the harvest period, the red-edge and NIR variation patterns and the visible variation patterns changed. These results are interpreted as a result of the large effects of pigments such as chlorophyll for each of the three soybean varieties, as well as from the formation and color of the leaf and stem. The results obtained in this study provide useful information that helps us to determine the wavelength width and range of the optimal band for monitoring and acquiring vegetation information on crops using satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
In this paper, we performed the modeling of a tunable three section DFB-LD with continuous phase using the coupled-wave equation. It was also proposed new modeling method for ${\lambda}/4$ phase shifted one. We got the characteristics of oscillation wavelength, gain, and photon density profiles according to parameters such as coupling coefficient K and current into the third sections for two case of continuous phase and ${\lambda}/4$ shifted phase one. The simulations for ${\lambda}/4$ phase shifted tunable three section DFB-LD prove that the continuous tuning range is about 4.2nm for $K=120cm^{-1}$, $L=180{\mu}m$, and the oscillation mode be within the stop-bands. Also when changed a current of both end sections, it is shown that a photon density reaches the maximum at the center.
Growth and changes of electronically conducting polypyrrole (PPy) in the form of thin films polymerized on metal electrodes were investigated by electrochemical and in situ three-parameter ellipsometry methods at the wavelength of 632.8 nm. Although the optical equations produced multiple sets of solution, it was possible to determine a unique set of thickness and the optical constants of a film by auxiliary measurements and/or physical reasoning. The changes in the thickness and the optical properties of the polymers during polymerization and electrochemical oxidation/reduction was successfully followed by the three-parameter ellipsometric technique. The optical properties of the polymers continuously changed as the film grew. The imaginary part of the refractive index of polypyrrole seemed to be dominantly determined by the existence of an absorption band around the visible range.

In this paper, Passive Temperature Compensation Technology is apply to 8-channel Optical multiplexer with 1000Hz channel spacing. The 8-channel multiplexer is fabricated by connecting three cascaded Mach Zehnder Interferometer(MZI) of optical fiber type, and each interferometer has the wavelength interval of 100GHz, 2000Hz and 4000Hz, respectively. Furthermore, to acquire uniform insertion loss, it is fabricated by using Wavelength Flatten Coupler(WFC) in which the variation of insertion loss is low. $CO_2$ laser to adjust precisely the wavelength. The optical fiber is very sensitive in the thermal variation around. Thus, When fabrication the prototype, it is applied a technique to compensate the optical thermal effect because the center wavelength at the output is shifted according to the thermal variation around. In summary, The prototype composed by eight cascaded MZI has an insertion loss of 5.5 dB, the bandwidth of 0.8nm at 0.5 dB point, and channel crosstalk of 25 dB. Furthermore, the loss dependent on polarization is measured as 0.06dB. Consequently, the output wavelength is shifted within 0.05 m when the surrounding temperature varies until $60^{\circ}C$

Moire topography method isa well-known non-contacting 3-D measurement method as afast non-contact test for three-dimension shape measuring method. Recently, it's important to study the automatic three-dimension measurement by moire topography because it is frequently applied to the reverse engineering , the medical , the entertainment fields. Three-dimension measurement using projection of moire topography is very attractive because of its high measuring speed and high sensitivity. In this paper, the classical moire method is computerized-so called digital moire when a virtual grating pattern is projected on a surface, the captured image by the CCD camera has three-dimension information of the objects. The moire image can be obtained through a simple image processing and a reference grating pattern. and it provides similar results without physical grating pattern. digital projection moire topography turn out to be very effective for the three-dimension measurement of objects. Using different N-bucket algorithm method of digital projection moire topography is tested to measuring object with the 2-ambiguity problem. Experimental results prove that the proposed scheme is capable of finding measurement errors that decreased more by using the four-three step algorithm method instead of the same step in the phase shifting of different pitch.
The main tsunami wave triggered by the December 2004 Sumatra tsunami was detected in the ocean south of India by satellite altimeters on Jason, Topex/Poseidon and Envisat. All three altimeters also detected shorter-wavelength (10 to 100 km), slower-propagating surface waves, spreading from the site of the earthquake. The shorter waves give additional information about the tsunami event, and can be used to better define the generating region in this, and future tsunamis. The properties of the area of shorter tsunami-generated waves may also be important in designing a future satellite-based detection system.

We report experimental and simulation results of L0 state using inner retarder film compared with normal retardation film. In short wavelength range, the reflectance of inner retardation film is three times compared with that of normal retardation film. This results in blue color of L0 state, as retardation decreases or polar angle increases, the color shifts toward purple, finally yellow color, as expected in the simulation results.
Characteristics and applications of three major types of lasers are discussed. They are chemical-metabolic, thermal destructive, and nonthermal mechanical lasers. The thermal destructive lasers ($CO_2$, Argon, and Nd:YAG) are especially explained in detail with regard to energy density, wavelength, fluence, stage of thermal destruction, and advantages of laser surgery. Excimer and Q-swiched lasers are discussed as nonthermal mechanical ones. Delivery system, optical fiber and articulated arm, is also discussed. Finally, recent advancements of medical laser are included in the conclusion.
Understanding the interplay between galaxies and dark matter in the universe is one of key challenges in modern astrophysics. This provides an important test of structure formation scenarios and cosmological models. I discuss three aspects of this test: (1) comparing the matter distribution from galaxy redshift surveys with that from weak-lensing surveys, (2) statistical comparison of large-scale structures between observations and cosmological simulations, and (3) multi-wavelength study of galaxies. These tests underscore the importance of combining photometric and spectroscopic surveys in observations along with cosmological simulations for exploring and understanding the structure formation.
The Sun's ray is composed of Infrared(49%), Visible light(40%) and Ultra violet(11%), however the ray getting to the earth is FIR(Far infrared; 60%), IR(Infrared; 20%), and UV(Ultra Violet; 20%). Human beings has utilized FIR already from time immemorial. Hershel found out Infrared for the first time. in the Industrial Revolution the Infrared and FIR had been begun to use making products. In these days, with contemporary science FIR would be begun to clear up the implication in the human body and organic compound. IR classified by wavelength three parts NlR, MIR, FIR. There is FIR which is radiated from healthy human body the wave length is 8-l4m. The human body is composed of proteins which get easily changed by a thermal factor (about 42 $^{\circ}$C over). FIR with low temperature can deeply penetrate on the human body composed things without troublesomes, since FIR has effectively operated on the human body at low temperature (35-40 $^{\circ}$C). When FlR penetrated on the human body. it would inhibit the abnormal genes and cells expression, and then information of DNA and RNA would be reexpressed for arranging DNA and RNA abnormal state. As FlR's receptors in the body, it could be presumed that N-glycosyl linkage of purine and deoxyribose, RNA splicing process, and Heat shock protein. To take the FIR which was a optimized wavewlength and strength, at first, we induced the characteristic algorithm and the computerized programing. Then we formed that the formular of optimized FIR with physical, mathematical logic and theory. especially, Plank, Kirchhoff, Wien, Stefan-Boltzmann's logic and law. In the long run, the formular was induced with integration mathematical, since we had to know the molecular wavelength. Based on the induced formular as above, we programmed the optimized FlR radiating computerized program. In this research, we designed the eletronic circuit f3r interfacing with human body to diagnosis and treatment with FIR sensor which radiated FIR wavelength optimized.
