This study focuses on a high-performance direct active and reactive power controller design that is successfully applicable to three-phase pulse width modulation (PWM) AC/DC converters used in renewable distributed energy generation systems. The proposed controller can overcome the sluggish transient dynamic response of conventional controllers to rapid power command changes. Desired active and reactive powers can be thoroughly obtained at the end of each PWM period through a deadbeat solution. The proposed controller achieves an exact nonlinear cross-coupling decoupling of system power without using a predefined switching table or bang/bang hysteresis control. A graphical and analytical analysis that naturally leads to a control voltage vector selection is provided to confirm the finding. The proposed control strategy is evaluated on a 3 kW PWM AC/DC converter in the simulation and experiment.
In the past, the PWM converter had a large switching loss by hard switching and difficult to high frequency operation. The resonance converter to decrease the switching loss and EMI is required the frequency control and needed to reduce the voltage or current stress at each parts. So, this paper propose the 3-phase boost converter and the method to compensated input power factor by control the amplitude - an instantaneous value of the DC inductor current -and control the switching frequency that a modulation error by the ripple of the DC inductor current. The proposed 3-phase PWM boost converter of single phase control type can takes higher capacity and compensate the power factor by using Feed back controller at each phase for the existing 3-phase bridge rectifier type. Moreover the 3-phase full bridge type using the rectifier at each 3-phase circuit will be small size reactor and compensate input power factor by minimize harmonic components of each phase.
A new SPWM inverter using three-phase boost converter by auxiliary partial resonant with high power factor and high efficiency is proposed. The proposed boost converter is constructed by using a resonant network in parallel with the switch of the conventional boost converter. The devices are switched at zero voltage or zero current eliminating the switching loss. A new Partial resonant boost converter achieves zero-voltage switching (ZVS) or zero-current switching (ZCS) for all switch devices without increasing their voltage and current stresses. This paper introduces elimination of low-order harmonics compared with conventional SPWM inverter and SPWM inverter using three-phase boost converter by auxiliary Partial resonant.
This paper presents the evaluation of a three-phase three-level DC-DC converter which achieves the soft switching condition for all switches in the circuit and uses the phase-shift PWM strategy to adjust electric power at the output side. According to the analysis, the operation modes can be categorized into two cases: in the first case, where the phase shift angle is less than 120 degrees and in the second case, where the phase shift angle is more than 120 degrees. The outer switches of the circuit operate under ZVS condition and the inner switches operate under ZVZCS condition. It has been discovered that under ZCS condition of the inner switches, when the blocking capacitors decrease, they make the voltage across the blocking capacitor higher so the current reduce rapidly. A three-phase three-level DC-DC converter has a maximum efficiency of 93.5% when its load is of 5.7 kW. The results from the experiment have been compared to the results obtained by the $MATLAB^{(R)}$ simulator in order to confirm the validity of the proposed converter.

This paper proposes the advanced PWM method that can reduce common-mode voltage in three-phase PWM converter-inverter system. By the proper distribution of the zero-voltage vector of inverter, it is possible to cancel out a common-mode voltage pulse in a sampling period. Since the proposed PWM method maintains the effective-voltage vector, it does not affect the control performance of converter-inverter system. Without any extra hardware, overall common-mode voltage can be decreased by one-third compared with conventional PWM scheme.

In this paper, a single-phase to three-phase PWM converter topology using six switches only for low cost induction motor drive is proposed. The converter topology is of lower cost than the conventional one, which gives sinusoidal input current, unity power factor, dc output voltage control and bidirectional power flow In addition, the source voltage sensor is eliminated by controlling the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The performance of the proposed converter has been demonstrated through the computer simulation.
The terminal voltage of a synchronous generator is maintained by the field current control of excitation system Generally AC/DC converter which is component of AVR(Automatic Voltage Regulator) system for excitation current control is connected to diode rectifier and DC/DC converter system In the case of diode rectifier system of phase controlled converter, AC/DC converter has low power factor and some low order harmonics in the line current. In this paper, two-stage three-phase PWM AC/DC converter is studied to solve these problems, The proposed method is verified by the computer simulations and experimental results in prototype generation system.
