Objective: This study compared three prominent midsagittal planes (MSPs) to identify the MSP that best approximates the true symmetrical MSP. Methods: Forty-three patients (mean age, 23.0 ± 8.20 years) were grouped as follows: group 1 consisted of 10 patients with skeletal Class I and a menton (Me) deviation of < 2 mm; group 2, 11 patients with skeletal Class III and a Me deviation < 2 mm; group 3, nine patients with skeletal Class III and a Me deviation of 2 to less than 4 mm; and group 4, 13 patients with skeletal Class III and an Me deviation ≥ 4 mm. The candidate MSPs were established by three-dimensional (3D) cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) reorientation methods (RMs): (1) the MSP perpendicular to the Frankfort horizontal (FH) plane while passing through the crista galli and basion; (2) the MSP including the nasion, incisive foramen, and basion; (3) the MSP including the nasion, anterior nasal spine, and posterior nasal spine. The mean absolute distances (MADs) to the MSPs were calculated from the coordinates of 1,548 points on 129 CBCT images. The differences in the values of the 3D coordinates among RMs were compared. Results: The MADs of the three RMs showed significant differences (p < 0.05). Most of the differences in values of the coordinates were not significant among RMs. Conclusions: Although the differences in distance among the three MSPs were minor, the MSP perpendicular to the FH plane while passing through the crista galli and basion best approximated the true symmetrical MSP.

In this paper, we investigated the quench characteristics of high-Tc superconducting(HTSC) elements in the integrated three-phase flux-lock type superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) according to fault types such as the single-line-to-ground fault, the double-line-to-ground fault, the line-to-line fault and the triple-line-to-ground fault. The integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL is an upgrade version of single-phase flux-lock type SFCL. The structure of the integrated three-phase flux-lock type SFCL consisted of a three-phase flux-lock reactor wound on an iron core with the ratio of the same turn between coil 1 and coil 2 in each phase. When the SFCL is under the normal condition, the flux generated in the iron core is zero because the flux generated between two coils of each single phase is canceled out. Therefore, the SFCL's impedance is zero, and the SFCL has negligible influence on the power system. However, if a fault occurs in any single one of three phases, the flux generated in the iron core is not zero any more. The flux makes HTSC elements of all phases to quench irrespective of the fault type, which reduces the current in fault phase as well as the current of sound phase. It was obtained that the fault current limiting characteristics of the suggested SFCL were dependent on the quench characteristics of HTSC elements in all three phases.
Quality control (QC) of Computed Tomography (CT) devices is based on image quality measurement on AAPM CT phantom which is a standard phantom. Although it is possible to control the accuracy of the CT apparatus, it is expensive and has a disadvantage of low penetration rate. Therefore, in this study, we make image quality measurement phantom at low cost using FFF (Fused Filament Fabrication) type three-dimensional printer and try to analyze the usefulness, compare it with existing standard phantom. To print a phantom, We used three-dimensional printer of the FFF system and PLA (Poly Lactic Acid, density: $1.24g/cm^3$) filament, and the CT device of 64 MDCT (Aquilion CX, Toshiba, Japan). In addition, we printed a phantom using three-dimensional printer after design using various tool based on existing standard phantom. For image quality evaluation, AAPM CT phantom and self-generated phantom were measured 10 times for each block. The measured data were analyzed for significance using the Mannwhiteney U-test of SPSS (Version 22.0, SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA). As a result of the analysis, phantom fabricated with three-dimensional printer and standard phantom showed no significant difference (p>0.05). Furthermore, we confirmed that image quality measurement performance of a phantom using three-dimensional printer is similar to the existing standard phantom. In conclusion, we confirmed the possibility of low cost phantom fabrication using three dimensional printer.
The objective of the present study was to explore associations between five microsatellites linked to $Fec^B$ and $FecX^I$ genes and litter size in Small Tail Han sheep. The polymorphisms of five microsatellite loci, OarAE101, BM1329, BMS2508, TGLA54 and TGLA68 were detected in 244 ewes of Small Tail Han sheep. Analysis of association between three microsatellite loci (BMS2508, BM1329 and OarAE101) located in the 10 cM region covering the $Fec^B$ gene (Booroola gene) and litter size in Small Tail Han sheep indicated that BMS2508 had significant effect on litter size in the second parity (p<0.05), but no significant effect on litter size in the first parity (p>0.05), while the other two microsatellite loci had no significant effect on litter size in both the first and the second parity in Small Tail Han sheep (p>0.05). At microsatellite locus BMS2508, least squares means in the second parity of genotypes 101/111 and 99/109 were significantly higher than those of genotypes 99/99, 99/101, 99/111 and 99/115 (p<0.05); least squares mean in the second parity of genotype 101/111 was significantly higher than that of genotypes 109/111 and 111/111 (p<0.05). Results of this study also indicated that two microsatellite loci (TGLA54 and TGLA68) that confined the 28.7 cM region covering the $FecX^I$ gene (Inverdale gene) did not affect litter size in both the first and the second parity in Small Tail Han sheep significantly (p>0.05). The information found in the present study is very important for improving the reproductive performance in sheep breeds by marker assisted selection.

The tightness of windows have devoted to the improvement of thermal insulation and energy saving in buildings. But it is known that this tightness causes some side effects such as low ventilation, low capacity to humidity and temperature control and these are not profitable for inhabitants. To act on these side effects, Korean traditional windows which are composed of Han-Ji(Koreand traditional paper) and Chang-Sal(Korean traditional wooden frame) have been studied to get a reasonable solutions for these problems. In this study, to compare the thermal and humidity control performance of current window(12 mm pair) and Korean traditional windows, frames which are made of existing window and Korean traditional windows are adapted to scale model house and then humidity and temperature of in and out of scale model house are measured and analysed. The results of this study are followings ; 1) When Korean traditional window charges 20cm(1/8 of total window area) from total window area, Han-Ji window has higher thermal insulation than that of existing window in daytime. There is the most big thermal difference when double faced with double-ply Han-Ji window is placed to mock-up house. In night-time, the temperature difference is very small so this means that Korean traditional window is good to cover direct sunlight in daytime and reduce the temperature of balcony. One faced with one-ply han-Ji window has the best humidity penetration performance among three type of Korean traditional windows. 2) When Korean window area enlarged to 40cm(1/4 of total window area), the function of 40cm width Han-Ji window is higher than that of 20cm's. This means that enlargement of Han-Ji window cover direct sunlight more and is more efficient in humidity penetration.
This paper presents the empirical formulas for determining the design-width for medium rivers in the Han river basin. The design flood, the watershed ares, and the channel slope of 216 medium rivers in the Han river basin are collected. the design width formulas are then determined by 1) the least squares (LS) method, 2)the least median squares (LMS) method, and 3) the reweighted least squares method based on the LMS (RLS). The six types of formulas are considered to determine the acceptable type for medium streams in the Han river basin. The root mean squared errors (RMSE), the absolute mean (AME) errors, and the mean errors (ME) are computed to test the formulas derived by three regression methods. It si found that the equation related stream width to the watershed area and the channel slope is acceptable for determining the design width for medium streams in the Han river basin. It is expected that the equations proposed by this study be used an index for determining the design-width for medium streams in the Han river basin.

Objectives: This study is to assess the correlation of the changes in dental health-related quality of life before, during, and after orthodontic treatments in the patients. Methods: The self-administered survey was conducted in the patients who completed orthodontic treatments living in Seoul and metropolitan areas using Oral Impact on Daily Performances (OIDP) to identify the relevant factors. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics of variables, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Results: From observations of OIDP before, during, and after orthodontic treatment, discomfort associated with three factors including physical, psychological and social ones showed the statistically significant increases during orthodontic treatment than before the treatment; whereas, it was dramatically dropped afterward. Multiple regression analysis to find the influential factors of satisfaction level on orthodontic treatment by setting before, during, and after OIDP as independent variables and satisfaction on orthodontic treatment as a dependent variable revealed that OIDP before orthodontic treatment and after orthodontic treatment significantly affected satisfaction on orthodontic treatment. Conclusions: The above analysis on the change in patients' dental health-related quality of life showed that the quality of life improved after the orthodontic treatment. Accordingly, patients' quality of life and satisfaction level on orthodontic treatment are expected to improve if they strive to maintain healthy dental health through orthodontic treatment.

Congenital hereditary disease is in devided into Infantile type and Adult type, Adult type is hidden for many years and keeps normal renal function till middle age. Cyst is stimultaneously made in both sides and becomes lowered in renal function in 30's to 40's. Infantile type is generally born with the big kidneys, renal failure, undergrowth of intrahepatic bile duct. Both infantile and childhood type have ureteral dilatation and portal hypertension In infantile type, it is mostly developed into renal failure, but generally faces death as a result of hepatic disease. The reason of death is that an abnormal condition of recessive autosome affects the liver and kidneys. While the incidence of infantile type is rare as $0.017{\sim}0.07%$ and it is autosomal recessive heredity, Adult type can rarely exist in infantile period. Though it exists in middle period, 50% of patients can live for 2-4 years after the first symptom incidence and 25% can less than 2 years. It is hard to cure completely in medicine and surgery. Three difficulties in familial incidence are comparative decrease of the donor who have no affection on renal transplantation. For another consideration it is to show the family history for several generations. We, the Med. Dept. of Dae Han Kyouk Life Insurance Co. Ltd., used the ultrasonic apparatus in diagnosing the one case of adult type bilateral polycystic kidney and then doubted the family history. As a result of inspecting the family we experienced bilateral polycystic kidney from 3 persons out of 4 who can be inspected. The results are as follows: 1) We could confirm the polycystic kidney from 3 persons out of 4(75%). 2) Then when they came for check up, chief complaint was the pain in all 3 cases(100%). 3) Accompanying disease was hypertension in 2 cases(67%). 4) In early disease incidence, we couldn't observe the specific change in pathological opinion. 5) All 3 cases are not accompanied with cystic lesion in liver, spleen, pancreas.
Odor compounds (geosmin, 2-MIB) have been causing problems in the Bukhan River system, but the causative organisms have not been clearly identified. To evaluate the relationship between dynamics of microbial community and odor compounds, two times monthly monitoring of water quality and microbial community from the three serial lakes (Lake Uiam, Lake Cheongpyeong and Lake Paldang) in the Bukhan River system were conducted from April to October 2017. The odor compounds were analyzed by HS-SPME analysis method using GC/MS. Bacteria communities were identified at the class level by NGS analysis. Actinobacteria and Betaproteobacteria were dominant taxon in bacteria community of three serial lakes. In the case of phytoplankton communities showed that seasonal changes by Bacillariophyceae and Cryptophyceae in spring, Cyanobacteria in summer, and Bacillariophyceae and Cryptophyceae in autumn. Dominant species was Dolichospermum (=Anabaena), Microcystis and Pseudanabaena in Bukhan River system in all study period. At the same time the odors geosmin and 2-MIB were also detected at high concentration. There is a significant positive correlation between proportion of Actinobaceria and 2-MIB concentration (r=0.491, p<0.01). In addition, proportion of cyanobacteria showed a significant correlation of geosmin (r=0.381, p<0.05) and 2-MIB (r=0.386, p<0.05) concentration. In this study, odor compounds in the Bukhan River system are considered to be a direct relationship between with Actinobacteria and cyanobacteria.
Cho Ji-hoon was a leading figure on the discussion of recognition on Han Yong-un, particularly the post-liberation period. During the Japanese colonial era, he addressed Han Yong-un as the representative of national poet, and evaluated Han's poems as the models of rebellious nationalistic poetry. Such evaluation by Cho set the precedent of basic perspectives and methodologies on how to recognize Han Yong-un in the present day. This paper analyzes three studies on Han Yong-un, conducted by Cho ji-hoon. We also examine how Cho created his logic of recognizing Han as a national poet, and his poems as nationalistic poetry. Accordingly, this paper has separated recognitions on poet studies and work studies, and further explored how each recognition has consistency with Cho ji-hoon's historical and literary perception. As a result, the following has been concluded: the basis of Cho ji-hoon's recognition on the life and works of Han Yong-un was premised on Cho's understanding of the world from a standpoint of history of ideas, the concept of nation was regarded as an absolute value that binds disparate ideas together, and the combination of nationalism and poetry has been expressed through the logic of nationalistic poetry and the notion which equalizes the poet to a classical scholar. It was further concluded that such equalizing logic contains some logical contradictions derived from integration between universal rights and national sovereignty, and nation and Buddhism. Therefore, it can be said that other possible interpretations on the role of a poet were not fully discussed, but remain bounded. Last but not the least, this paper critically tries to perceive Cho's recognition on Han Yong-un, and accentuates the necessity of new interpretations of Han's poems, apart from those based on nationalism.
