풍력단지 제어를 위한 생산가능 출력에 대한 연구 (Study on the Available Power of a Wind Turbine for Wind Farm Control)

  • A study on the available power of a wind turbine to be used for wind farm control was performed in this study, To accurately estimate the available power it is important to obtain a suitable wind which represents the three dimensional wind that the wind turbine rotor faces and also used to calculate the power. For this, two different models, the equivalent wind and the wind speed estimator were constructed and used for dynamic simulation using matlab simulink. From the comparison of the simulation result with that from a commercial code based on multi-body dynamics, it was found that using the hub height wind to estimate available power from a turbine results in high frequency components in the power prediction which is, in reality, filtered out by the rotor inertia. It was also found that the wind speed estimator yielded less error than the equivalent wind when compared with the result from the commercial code.

  • Numerical investigation of the groove trap effect with variation in the groove-edge radius of curvature is presented here. The trap effect is evaluated in a two-dimensional sliding bearing using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). This simulation is based on the discrete phase model (DPM) and standard k - ε turbulence model using commercial CFD software, FLUENT. The numerical results are evaluated by comparisons with streamlines and particle trajectories in the grooves. Grooves are applied to various lubrication systems to improve their lubrication characteristics, such as load carrying capacity increment, leakage reduction, frictional loss reduction, and preventing three-body abrasive wear due to trapping effect. This study investigates the grove trapping effect for various groove-edge radius of curvature values and Reynolds numbers. The particle is assumed to be made of steel, with a circular shape, and is injected as a single particle in various positions. One-way coupling is used in the DPM model because the single particle injection condition is applied. Further, the "reflect" condition is applied to the wall boundary and "escape" condition is used for the "pressure inlet" and "pressure outlet" boundaries. From the numerical results, the groove edge radius is found to influence the groove trap effect. Moreover, the groove trap effect is more effective when applying the groove edge radius.

  • 인공생명체 연구는 자연 생명과 관련된 시스템이나 그 과정들, 진화 등을 평가해 다양한 응용과학 분야에 활용된다. 이러한 인공생명체의 원활한 활동을 위해 물리적 신체 설계와 행동 제어전략을 진화시키는 연구가 활발히 진행되었다. 그러나 형태와 신경망을 공진화시키는 것은 어렵기에 최적화된 움직임을 가진 인공생명체는 한 가지 형태에 한 가지 움직임만을 가지며 주변 환경 상황은 고려하지 않는 것이 대부분이다. 본 논문에서는 포식자-피식자 모델을 이용하여 형태와 신경망을 공진화하는 인공생명체가 환경적응형 움직임을 갖게 한다. 그런 다음 포식자-피식자 계층 구조를 최상위 포식자-중간 포식자-최하위 피식자 3단계로 확장하여 초기 개체군 밀도에 따라 시뮬레이션의 안정성을 판별하며 형태 진화와 개체군 역학 간의 상관관계를 분석한다.

스핀테이블을 이용한 스핀안정화 기법 연구 (Study on a Spin Stabilization Technique Using a Spin Table)

  • 심우주 탐사 임무를 수행하는 경우 발사체의 최상단에 궤도전이를 위한 고체 또는 액체 엔진이 장착된다. 궤도 전이 과정에서 추력 비정렬 오차가 존재할 경우, 시간이 지남에 따라 탑재체의 자세각 오차가 급속히 증가하여 임무의 성패에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 이러한 추력 비정렬 오차를 줄이는 방법으로는 스핀안정화 방식 또는 3축 자세제어 방식이 있으며, 이 중 시스템 단순화 및 구조 경량화 측면에서 강점을 가지는 스핀안정화 방식이 많이 사용된다. 스핀 안정화를 적용하는 방법 중 하나는 발사체의 스핀테이블 시스템을 사용하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 스핀테이블이 탑재체 분리 후 거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석에 필요한 스핀테이블의 기능을 모사할 수 있도록 기초 설계를 수행하였으며, 이를 적용하여 스핀테이블의 거동을 모사하는 시뮬레이션 환경을 구축하였다. 스핀테이블의 유무에 따른 탑재체의 거동 및 스핀테이블의 효과를 분석하였고 스핀테이블 시스템의 구성요소 중 분리스프링의 공차에 의한 탑재체의 분리 후 거동 해석을 수행하였다.

6미터 이하 저고도 추락 환자의 안전성 여부 (Are Falls of Less Than 6 Meters Safe?)

  • Purpose: The committee on trauma of the american college of surgeons, in its manual resources for optimal care of the injured patients involved in falls from less than 20 feet need not be taken to trauma centers. Because triage criteria dictate less urgency for low-level falls, this classification scheme has demerits for early detection and treatment of serious problems in the emergency room. Methods: A prospective analysis was conducted of 182 patients treated for fall-related trauma from June 2003 to March 2004. Falls were classified as group A (<3 m), group B (${\geq}3m$, <6 m), and group C (${\geq}6m$). Collected data included the patient's age, gender, site and height of fall, surface fallen upon, body area of first impact, body regions of injuries, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), Revised Trauma Score (RTS), and Injury Severity Score (ISS). Results: The 182 patients were classified as group A (105) 57.7%, group B (61) 33.5%, and group C (16) 8.8%. There was a weak positive correlation between the height of fall and the patients' ISS in the three groups (p<0.001). There were significant differences in GCS (p=0.017), RTS (p=0.034), and ISS (p=0.007) between group A and B. In cases that the head was the initial impact area of the body, the GCS (p<0.001) and the RTS (p=0.002) were lower, but the ISS (p<0.001) was higher than it was for other type of injuries. Hard surfaces as an impact surface type, had an influence on the GCS (p<0.001) and the ISS (p=0.025). Conclusion: To simply categorize patients who fall over 6 meters as severely injured patients doesn't have much meaning, and though patients may have fallen less than 6 meters, they should be categorized by using the dynamics (impact surface type, initial body - impact area) of their fall.

상전도흡인식 도시형 자기부상열차의 분기기 주행안전성 연구 (Study on Running Safety of EMS-Type Maglev Vehicle Traveling over a Switching System)

  • 자기부상열차에 있어서 분기기는 차량이 가이드레일과 접촉 없이 안전하게 노선을 변경할 수 있도록 설계돼야 한다. 특히, 별도의 안내 전자석이 없이 하나의 U-형 전자석으로 부상력과 안내력을 동시에 얻는 중저속 상전도흡인식 자기부상열차에 있어서는 분기기 통과시 안전성에 대한 검토가 요구된다. 이 방식에서는 안내력을 능동적으로 제어하지 않기 때문에 작은 곡률 반경이면서도 다수의 직선을 연결하여 곡선을 형성하는 관절형 분기기 통과시 전자석의 횡공극이 과도하게 발생하여 가이드레일과 기계적 접촉을 일으킬 수 있기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 개발 중인 관절식 분기기에서 차량의 주행안전성 향상을 위하여 관절식 분기기의 주 설계 변수의 안전성에의 영향을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 그를 통하여 분기기에서의 주행안전성을 향상하고자 한다. 이를 수행하기 위하여 2 량 1 편성으로 구성된 3 차원 전체차량 다물체 동역학 모델의 적용이 제안된다. 제안된 모델을 이용하여 분기기 통과시의 주행안전성척도 중의 하나의 횡공극 시뮬레이션이 이루어진다. 분석되는 설계 변수들은 단경간 거더의 길이와 굴절각, 끝단 고정궤도 중심 사이의 거리, 거더의 수량이다. 이러한 설계 변수들의 영향을 분석하여 안전성 향상을 위한 분기기 설계 방향을 제시한다.

  • 복합 후처리장치의 최적 모델 개발을 위해 반응기 내부 유동 특성 및 유량 분배 수준 등과 관련지어 3차원 전산유체역학(CFD)을 수행하였다. 백필터의 각 격실별로 유량 분배가 크게 차이가 발생해 반건식 반응기(SDR)에 편류현상이 발생할 것으로 예측되어 백필터에 균등한 유량 분배를 위한 구조 개선이 시급한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 위해, 장치에 3가지 수정.보완(플래넘 구조 개선, 풍도 오리피스 설치, 복수의 흡인 덕트 설치)이 이루어졌다. 이 중에서 플래넘 구조 개선, 풍도 오리피스 설치가 가장 합리적일 것으로 판단된다. 본 해석을 이용하여 수정 보완한 배가스복합 후처리장치는, 반건식 반응기와 백필터 처리부가 일체화되어 있어 장치가 콤팩트하고 설치면적이 적으며 운영 및 관리가 매우 편리할 것으로 판단된다.

골프 스윙 시 경사면에 따른 지면 반력 분석에 관한 연구 (The Analysis of GRF during Golf Swing with the Slopes)

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the characteristics of ground reaction force(GRF) in golf swing for various slopes of flat lie and uphill lies of 5 and 10 degrees. Five right-handed professional golfers were selected for the experiment and the 7 iron club was used. We used four forceplates to measure GRF and synchronized with the three-dimensional motion analysis system. Results showed that slope did not affect the total time for golf swing, but the time until the impact had a tendency to slightly increase for the uphill lie(p<0.05). The medial-lateral GRF of the right foot increased toward the medial direction during back swing, but less increases were found with the angle of uphill lie(p<0.05). The GRF of the left foot increased rapidly toward the medial direction at the uncocking and the impact during down swing, but decreased with the increase in the angle of uphill lie(p<0.05). The anterior-posterior GRF of both feet showed almost the same for different slopes. With the slopes, the vertical GRF of the right foot increased, but the vertical GRF of left foot decreased(p<0.05). Uphill lies would have negative effect to provide the angular momentum during back swing, restricting pelvic and trunk rotations, and to provide the precise timing and strong power during down swing, limiting movements of body's center of mass. The present study could provide valuable information to quantitatively analyze the dynamics of golf swing. Further study would be required to understand detailed mechanism in golf swing under different conditions.

임신기간 중 계단의 단너비에 따른 임산부 보행 (Pregnant Women's Gait of Stair Decent with Different Treads)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest a proper tread of stairs using kinematic factors and moments of the lower-limb joints in the stair decent with the 3 different treads with boimechanical method in ergonomics. 9 subjects (body masses; $59.41{\pm}7.49$, $64.03{\pm}6.65$, $67.26:{\pm}7.58$, heights; $160.50{\pm}6.35$ ages; $31.22{\pm}2.99$; parity; $1.67{\pm}0.71$) participated in three experiments that were divided by physiological symptoms (the early (0-15 weeks), middle (16-27 weeks) and last (18-39 weeks). and they walked at self-selected pace on 4 staircases 3 trials. As extending the pregnancy period, cadence was shorter but cycle time were longer more and more. As extending treads of stair decent during pregnancy, speed, stride lengths and cycle time were increased. As extending the treads of stair decent, hip and ankle moments increased but knee moments decreased in sagittal plane. There were increasing or decreasing of moments by means of treads. These changes may account for relation between the treads of stair and moments in pregnant women. The main changes of pregnant women were joint moments and kinematic factors during pregnancy period because pregnancy makes them physical changes. It is possible that joints have connection with compensation each other to maximize stability and to control gait motion. In conclusion, we suggest that the tread of stair is longer than 26cm tread. and exercise programs to improve muscle activity were necessary where joint moments were small.

Steering Control and Geomagnetism Cancellation for an Autonomous Vehicle using MR Sensors

  • This paper describes the steering control and geomagnetism cancellation for an autonomous vehicle using an MR sensor. The magneto-resistive (MR) sensor obtains the vector summation of the magnetic fields from embedded magnets and the Earth. The vehicle is controlled by the magnetic fields from embedded magnets. So, geomagnetism is the disturbance in the steering control system. In this paper, we propose a new method of the sensor arrangement in order to remove the geomagnetism and vehicle body interference. The proposed method uses two MR sensors located in a level plane and the steering controller has been developed. The controller has three input variables ($dB_x$, $dB_y$, $dB_z$) using the measured magnetic field difference, and an output variable (the steering angle). A simulation program was developed to acquire the data to teach the neural network, in order to test the ability of a neural network to learn the steering control process. Also, the computer simulation of the vehicle (including vehicle dynamics and steering) was used to verify the steering performance of the vehicle controller using the neural network. From the simulation and field test, good result was obtained and we confirmed the robustness of the neural network controller in a real autonomous vehicle.
