  • Objective : Hospital workers' mental health has deteriorated because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of hospital workers and its determinants. Methods : Two surveys were conducted among employees working in a hospital that received COVID-19 patients from the early phase of the pandemic in South Korea. Data on demographics, perceived threat, workplace evaluation, resilience, and mental health status were collected using the Korean General Health Questionnaire-20 in the initial phase (February 2020) and during the third wave of COVID-19 (December 2020) for 467 and 545 workers, respectively. The mental health of hospital workers in the two phases was compared, and the risk and protective factors during the third wave were investigated. Results : The proportion of patients in the psychiatric high-risk group increased from 2.8% in the initial phase to 11.4% during the third wave. The perceived threat, workplace evaluation, and resilience of respondents deteriorated. Risk factors for mental health during the third wave included the perceived threat items of job stress, loss of control, and considering resignation. Protective factors included presence of children, workplace satisfaction, and hardiness in resilience. Conclusion : Hospital workers' mental health deteriorated as the pandemic progressed. General stress and tension such as job stress, loss of control, considering resignation rather than COVID-19-specific stress had negative effects on mental health of hospital workers. Therefore, care for work stress itself can be helpful to maintain the mental health of hospital workers. Also, governance to improve workplace satisfaction or hardiness in resilience can be a potential protective factor for hospital workers' mental health during the prolonged pandemic.

  • It is difficult to determine the outdoor toxic level of hazardous chemicals that are leaked in the building, since there are no efficient ways to calculate how much percentage of the leaked chemicals is released into the outdoor atmosphere. In address to these problems, we propose a reasonable box model that can quantitatively evaluate the mass rate of the indoor chlorine leakage into the outside of the building. The proposed method assumes that the indoor chlorine leakage is fully mixed with the indoor air, and then the mixture of the chlorine and indoor air is exfiltrated into the outside of the building through effective leakage areas of the building. It is found that the exfiltration rate of the mixture of the chlorine and indoor air is strongly dependent on the temperature difference between inside and outside the building than the atmospheric wind speed. As compared with a conventional method that uses a vague mitigation factor, our method is more effective to evaluate the outdoor toxic threat zone of the chlorine that are leaked in the building, because it can consider the degree of airtight of the building in the evaluation of the threat zone.

  • Electromigration is atomic diffusion driven by a momentum transfer from conducting electrons. With every new generation of intergrated circuits, interconnect line widths have been reduced and current densities in the interconnect have become higher. This leads to an increase in the threat to interconnect reliability due to electromigration. In this paper, we simulated stress evolution with changing temperature, duty factor(ratio of on time and pulse time), frequency under pulsed DC condition. As a result, we predict MTF(median time to failure) and found that exponent n is affected by changing temperature, duty factor.

  • According to the study of TQM implementations, the odds that an organization will successfully implement total quality management are two to one-against it. Based on the Brown's study, two thirds of all TQM implementations are dropped or fail altogether. However, organizations armed with knowledge of the factors that have the biggest impact on their success can take steps to influence or change those factors. In this paper, we studied on the degree of influence between those factors and successful start up and alignment factors. Based on extensive literature reviews those factors, threat, commitment, plan, progress and strategy are determined. Also we determine the successful start up and alignment factors. A framework of research including above factors is developed and tested statistically The Perceived data are collected from managers of quality departments of 141 Korean firms through survey. The results show that the rating of those factors which determine success of implementing TQM is progress, commitment, strategy and progress. But the factor of threat shows negative influence for the success of implementing TQM.

  • As the usage of social network service(SNS) increases recently, great attention has been shown to the information security in SNS. However, there has been little investment in SNS environment for security while preferential investment to attract subscribers has been made so far. Moreover, there is still a lack of confidence for investment effect and an absence of framework to analyze the threat factors of information security in SNS. In this paper, we propose to model for decision-making standard of SNS information security investment by the AHP. The result shows that 'service image' is the most important criterion for the decision of SNS information security. It also shows that 'Profile-squatting and reputation slander through ID thefts' and 'Corporate espionage' are important threat factors in SNS information security.

  • Capitalism is based on a material desire of the human being. the social control of capital value and the management of capital ability reflects the actual condition of the capitalism well. The unconstrained growing and the expansion of capitalism, it finally lost social meaning and an importance of human being element and the safety of the civilian life, began to threat the security of citizen by forming over the material center structure of society. Improving human life quality and material richness on their life leads positive factor of capitalism whereas is causing several crimes through the society which is being threatened around a human being life for a negative factor of the capitalism. Therefore capitalistic social system has offered both a positive factor 'growing' and 'richness' and that of a negative 'structural poverty' and 'lack of security' and they have been remaining the assignment of capitalism 'poverty' and 'security' by settlement in the society for a extremely phenomenon of both sides. The objective of this research is to build its study theory and establish its causal relation by illuminating for the social environment of capitalism for a private guard or a development background of the civil security contributing for citizen security, as well as gets the clue of the development possibility of the civil guard and escort field and the development of capitalism. In Korea because their recognition of the study approach and the social safety for social security control function is still staying first step and our daily life is annoying from various threat of the society, many studies and the realistic necessity of experience related with social security is being studied. In addition, The development possibility of the civil guard and defense at the civil field which will be keep the social security has a wide position but its study approach and realistic comprehension is still in insufficient condition. Consequently, this research is started to grasp the security of civil fiend and to grope a development possibility through the research of capitalism.

  • The security threat posed by worms has steadily increased in recent years. This paper discusses the application of the optimal and sub-optimal Internet worm control via Pontryagin's maximum principle. To this end, a control variable representing the optimal treatment strategy for infectious hosts is introduced into the two-factor worm model. The numerical optimal control laws are implemented by the multiple shooting method and the sub-optimal solution is computed using genetic algorithms. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimal and sub-optimal strategies. It also provides a theoretical interpretation of the practical experience that the maximum implementation of treatment in the early stage is critically important in controlling outbreaks of Internet worms. Furthermore, our results show that the proposed sub-optimal control can lead to performance close to the optimal control, but with much simpler strategies for long periods of time in practical use.
