  • This study was undertaken to examine the effects of social support, as well as avoidance coping, depression and suicidal ideation, of the elderly over 65 years, in G city. This was a descriptive survey study, enrolling 482 subjects from 9 elderly schools in G city, from October 31, 2019 to 1. Data collected were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression, using the SPSS WIN 24.0 program. The average score of social support was 5.71±1.11, avoidance coping style 12.41±3.45, depression 6.33±2.77, and suicidal ideation 6.17±1.87. Suicidal ideation (r=0.292, p<0.001) positively correlated with avoidance coping, and negatively correlated with gender (r=-0.02, p=0.018), number of family (r=-0.12, p=0.008), social support (r=-0.19, p<0.001), and depression (r=-0.24, p<0.001). Results of regression indicated that gender, social support, avoidance coping style, and depression explained 12.8% of variance in suicidal ideation. Therefore, our results indicate the necessity to develop a support program that improves the social support, and addresses avoidance coping style, depression and suicidal ideation, thereby helping to reduce negative thinking amongst the community of seniors aged over 65 years.

  • The need for forest therapy programs has been increasing. For more effective forest healing, it is necessary to identify the characteristics of participants and develop and operate more targeted and differentiated forest therapy programs accordingly. In this study, the relationships between MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality types and the relationship between the temperaments of MBTI and the preference for the forest therapy programs were analyzed respectively in pursuit of the basic data required for the effective development and operation of forest healing on the basis of individual characteristics. The survey on the forest therapy program and MBTI personality tests were conducted for 245 normal adults. Using the SPSS 21.0 program analysis, data were analyzed by Analysis of variance (ANOVA) to obtain the difference of preference on the forest therapy program according to the personality type. The Extraversion(E)-Introversion(I) types showed differences in technique-based breathing exercises, walking in the forest(wearing shoes), laughter therapy in the forest, viewing the forest, forest bathing, wind bathing and sun bathing. And the Sensing(S)-iNtuition (N) types had marked differences in listening to the sound of water flowing, drinking herbal tea and sleeping in the forest. The Thinking (T) -Feeling (F) types marked differences in soaking hands and feet in water and sleeping in the forest. The Judging (J)-Perceiving (P) types had differences in vision quest and viewing the forest, respectively, in statistics. Depending on the temperament of the character, there were statistically significant differences in preferences such as drinking herbal tea, eating natural food, sleeping in the forest, viewing the forest and listening to the forest commentary. • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the topic trend of domestic simulation nursing education research using text network analysis(TNA). Methods: This study was conducted in four steps. TNA was performed using the NetMiner (version 4.4.1) program. Firstly, 245 articles from 4 databases (RISS, KCI, KISS, DBpia) published from 2008 to 2018, were collected. Secondly, keyword-forms were unified and representative words were selected. Thirdly, co-occurrence matrices of keywords with a frequency of 2 or higher were generated. Finally, social network-related measures-indices of degree centrality and betweenness centrality-were obtained. The topic trend over time was visualized as a sociogram and presented. Results: 178 author keywords were extracted. Keywords with high degree centrality were "Nursing student", "Clinical competency", "Knowledge", "Critical thinking", "Communication", and "Problem-solving ability." Keywords with high betweenness centrality were "CPR", "Knowledge", "Attitude", "Self-efficacy", "Performance ability", and "Nurse." Over time, the topic trends on simulation nursing education have diversified. For example, topics such as "Neonatal nursing", "Obstetric nursing", "Pediatric nursing", "Blood transfusion", "Community visit nursing", and "Core basic nursing skill" appeared. The core-topics that emerged only recently (2017-2018) were "High-fidelity", "Heart arrest", "Clinical judgment", "Reflection", "Core basic nursing skill." Conclusion: Although simulation nursing education research has been increasing, it is necessary to continue studies on integrated simulation learning designs based on various nursing settings. Additionally, in simulation nursing education, research is required not only on learner-centered educational outcomes, but also factors that influence educational outcomes from the perspective of the instructors.

  • Patients with schizophrenia have thinking disorders such as delusion or hallucination, because they have a deficit in the ability which to systematize and integrate information. therefore, they cannot integrate or systematize visual, auditory and tactile stimuli. In this study, we suggest a virtual reality system for the assessment of cognitive ability of schizophrenia patients, based on the brain multimodal integration model. The virtual reality system provides multimodal stimuli, such as visual and auditory stimuli, to the patient, and can evaluate the patient's multimodal integration and working memory integration abilities by making the patient interpret and react to multimodal stimuli, which must be remembered for a given period of time. the clinical study showed that the virtual reality program developed is comparable to those of the WCST and the SPM.
