Development of a Powder-type Thin Spray-on Liner and Its Performance Evaluation at Different Curing Ages (분말형 박층 뿜칠 라이너 시작품의 제작과 성능평가)

  • Thin Spray-on Liner (TSL) has been considered as a new rock support to replace shotcrete as well as wire mesh. However, the development of its original production technology is highly in demand since it is not open to the public. Therefore, two kinds of powder-type TSL prototypes were developed as the first development stage. Then, their mechanical properties were experimentally compared with those of a two-component foreign TSL material including both of liquid and powder components. From a series of experiments, the first TSL prototype mixing condition satisfied every TSL performance requirements specified by EFNRAC (2008), and showed much higher tensile and bond strengths than those of the two-component foreign TSL, even though the other TSL prototype cannot be used as a support member since its elongation at break is much lower than its corresponding EFNARC (2008) performance criterion. In addition, a further study to increase the ductility of the first TSL prototype might be necessary to guarantee its higher applicability to field conditions.

롤투롤 시스템을 적용한 메탈 메쉬 전극 소재의 특성 향상 연구

  • 차세대 디스플레이로 유연하고 투명한 기능들이 요구되면서 Indium Tin Oxide(ITO)를 대체하기 위한 투명전극 개발 연구가 많이 수행되고 있다. ITO는 높은 투과도와 낮은 저항으로 현재 가장 많이 활용되고 있는 투명전극 소재이지만 유연성이 떨어져 유연 터치 패널 소재로 활용하기 어렵다. 이러한 문제 해결을 위해 ITO 대체 물질로 CNT, Graphene, Metal mesh, Ag nano wire, 전도성 고분자 등의 차세대 투명 전극 소재가 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 메탈 메쉬 전극 소재로 사용하기 위해 Cu 박막 증착 시 플라즈마 표면처리를 통해 밀착력 및 저항을 개선하였다. Cu 금속 박막의 양산화를 위한 공정으로 자체 제작한 Linear Ion Source(LIS)가 부착된 roll to roll 시스템을 적용하여 플라즈마 전처리 공정 및 Ni buffer layer 도입 이후 Cu 박막을 형성하였다. 그 결과 PET 기판과 Cu 박막 사이의 밀착력을 0 degree에서 5 degree까지 향상시킬 수 있었고, 플라즈마 표면처리를 시행함으로써 저항 또한 감소되는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해서 폴리머 기판 소재에 in-situ로 표면처리 및 Cu 금속 박막을 증착함으로써 금속 박막의 밀착력 및 전기적 특성이 향상되는 공정 기술을 개발하였다.

A NEW APPROACH ON THE CURVATURE DEPENDENT ENERGY FOR ELASTIC CURVES IN A LIE GROUP

  • Elastica is known as classical curve that is a solution of variational problem, which minimize a thin inextensible wire's bending energy. Studies on elastica has been conducted in Euclidean space firstly, then it has been extended to Riemannian manifold by giving different characterizations. In this paper, we focus on energy of the elastic curve in a Lie group. We attepmt to compute its energy by using geometric description of the curvature and the torsion of the trajectory of the elastic curve of the trajectory of the moving particle in the Lie group. Finally, we also investigate the relation between energy of the elastic curve and energy of the same curve in Frenet vector fields in the Lie group.

  • The Akin osteotomy is a complimentary procedure in hallux valgus surgery. Surgical techniques may vary depending on the operators or fixation devices. Suture fixation, for which a removal procedure is not necessary, can often be recommended. However, there is a risk of failure due to the thin cortex of the phalanx. We describe a new technique using Ethibond suture fixation in Akin osteotomy, which can lower the risk of phalangeal cortical failure and articular cartilage irritation. First, the Akin osteotomy was performed on the proximal phalanx 5 to 6 mm distal to the first metatarsophalangeal joint. Then bone holes were drilled from dorsum to plantar parallel to osteotomy with the Kirschner wire. The final procedure involved passing the Ethibond sutures connected to a straight needle through the holes and tying it. This fixation method offers an effective and easy technique for performance of Akin osteotomy.

Morphological Transitions of MOCVD-Grown ZnO Thin Films (MOCVD로 성장된 ZnO 박막의 미세구조 변화)

  • ZnO는 상온에서 3.37 eV의 넓은 밴드갭을 가지는 직접천이형 반도체이다. 상온에서 60 meV의 큰 엑시톤 결합에너지를 가짐으로 인해 엑시톤 재결합에 의한 강한 UV 레이저 발진효과를 기대할 수 있다. 이러한 장점을 갖는 ZnO 박막을 이용하여 광소자 등에 응용하기 위하여 양질의 ZnO 박막성장이 필수적이며, 이를 위해 MBE, MOCVD, PLD, rf magnetron sputtering 등 다양한 증착방법을 통한 연구결과가 보고되고 있다. 또한 p형 불순물인 As과 N 도핑 및 Ga과 N의 co-doping 방법 등을 통하여 p형 ZnO 박막을 제조하였음이 보고되고 있으나 재현성 문제 등으로 인해 계속적인 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 MOCVD를 이용하여 A1$_2$O$_3$(0001) 기판 위에 ZnO 박막을 성장시켰다. Zn 전구체로 DEZn을 사용하였으며, 산소 source로 $O_2$를 사용하였다. 증착온도, Ⅵ/II 비율, 반응기 압력 등 MOCVD의 중요한 공정변수들의 체계적인 변화에 따른 박막성장 양상을 조사하였다. 증착 조건에 따라 ZnO 입자의 모양이 주상(column), nano-rod, nano-needle, nano-wire 등으로 급격하게 변화됨을 확인하였으며, 이러한 입자의 모양과 결정성장 방향 및 광학적 특성과의 상관관계의 해석을 시도하였다.

Analytical Study on the Behavior of the Bubble in the Micro Two-Phase Closed Thermosyphon (초소형 밀폐형 이상 써모싸이폰 기포의 거동에 관한 해석적인 연구)

  • The rise of a large gas bubble or slug in a Micro Two-Phase Closed Thermosyphon with a thin wire insert has been analiged by the potential flow theory. The effect of the interfacial surface tension is explicitly accounted by application of the Kelvin-Laplace equation and solved for the bubble shape. The solution is expressed in terms of the Stokes stream function which consists of an infinite series of Bessel functions. The conditions of the bubble movement in a Micro Two-Phase Closed Thermosyphon were theoretically ascertained.

  • A measurement system for magnetic anisotropy was built. The torque acting on the disc or sperical samples placed in uniform magnetic field was detected with a capacitive transducer which is connected with a transformer ratio-arm bridge. The output of the bridge was amplified with a lock-in amplifier. The cubic anisotropy constant for (100) of 3% Si-Fe was $3.3{\times}10^{4}\;J/m^{3}$. The calibration for the system was carried out with the shape anisotropy of a thin Ni wire.

  • Lipoma is the most common benign neoplasm of the body with rare occurrence in the oral cavity. It represents 1~4% of benign neoplasms of the mouth, which affect the buccal mucosa, floor of the mouth, tongue and lips. We report a case of lipoma in the labial vestibule with extraoral swelling, which could easily be misdiagnosed as an odontogenic abscess. Excisional biopsy in this case revealed well-circumscribed masses, surrounded by a thin fibrous capsule and composed of sheets of mature adipocytes, arranged in a "chicken wire" configuration. After a computed tomography scan, excisoinal biopsy was done, and there were no recurrence after 5-month follow-up period.

  • The driving-point impedance of the center-fed planar dipole antenna is obtained using the method of moments (MOM). For the thin dipole antenna, our numerical result is compared with that of the inverse method by D. R. Rhodes as well as the known solutions of equivalent wire antenna. For the frequencies of L-band and S-band, the driving-point impedances of the thick planar dipole antennas are measured by experiment and compared with the numerical results.

  • HTS(High Temperature Superconductor) cable has a high possibility of practical use due to the possibility of low voltage and high capacity transmission caused by its lower power loss than copper cable. On the other hand, when fault current occurred, resistance increase caused by superconductivity loss, the amount of power supplies has diminished, furthermore, it's necessary to take the possible danger of damage to HITS cable into account. Therefore, an effective plan for dealing with the above problem is to link HITS cable to SFCL. In this study, we researched the possibilities of normal transport current as well as the safety of HITS cable by analyzing the properties of transport current in HITS cable connected with SFCL.
