  • In the paper, we have two purposes. Firstly, we estimate the hyper-order of an entire function which shares two functions with it's first derivative, and two examples are given to show the conclusion is sharp. Secondly, we generalize the Br$\ddot{u}$ck conjecture with the idea of sharing functions.

  • Recently, Hooda and Ram [7] have proposed and characterized a new generalized measure of R-norm entropy. In the present communication we have studied its application in coding theory. Various mean codeword lengths and their bounds have been defined and a coding theorem on lower and upper bounds of a generalized mean codeword length in term of the generalized R-norm entropy has been proved.

  • In this paper, the vibration of a rotating shaft with a thin rigid disk is considered. It is assumed that the shaft has uniform, circular cross-section. Based on the Timoshenko-beam theory, the transverse displacements and slops in two lateral directions, the axial displacement, and the torsional deformation are considered. The spectral element method is used for the vibration analysis of the rotating shaft with a thin rigid disk, which is modeled by two shaft elements and a thin rigid disk element.

  • In queueing theory, polling systems have been widely studied as a way of serving several stations in cyclic order. In this paper we consider Markov-modulated Poisson process which is useful for approximating a superposition of heterogeneous arrivals. We derive the mean waiting time of each station in a polling system where the arrival process is modeled by a Markov-modulated Poisson process.

  • The paper deals with the problem of selective harvesting in a prey-predator model with predator self limitation. Criteria for local stability and global stability for both the exploited and unexploited system are derived. The effort has been considered as a dynamic variable and taxation as a control instrument to protect the fish populations from over exploitation. Finally, the optimal taxation policy is discussed with the help of control theory.

  • New design of a bevameter was attempted to that it can be not only attached to and powered by the tractor hydraulic control system, but is equipped with a data acquisition system using a microcomputer. Results of field tests of the new design showed that it has a good performance and practical applicability to the measurements of pressure-sinkage and shear stress-displacement relations from which toil parameters of the Bekker theory can be evaluated.

  • 본 연구에서는 고분자의 해밀토니안을 Q-state Potts-Model로 근사하여, 2, 3차원 형태의 선형 고분자 시스템을 모사하고자 한다. 고분자 외부에서 힘이 작용하고 있는 경우와 아닌 경우에 대하여 전산모사 결과를 바탕으로 고분자의 크기의 경향성을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 흔히 사용되는 Flory's Theory와 달리 고분자의 대표적인 특성인 지수(exponent)에 대하여 더 유동적인 관계식을 얻어낼 수가 있었다. 이를 바탕으로, 고분자에서 흔히 사용되고 있는 scaling argument가 잘 적용되는지를 확인해보았으며, 그 결과 일부의 경우에서만 성립함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In the existing deterministic network, the capacity of each arc has been assumed to have a determined property. In reality it may have a property which cannot be determined, and even if it is determined, it contains many errors. Fuzzy theory is efficient in dealing with these kinds of properties. The object of this study is to show that the capacity of each arc and the goal quantity have fuzziness and to develop a new method of determining the fuzzy maximal flow quantity.
