  • There are many economic and operational reasons to integrate fire alarm signaling system with other building automation system. Integration of this requires open network with for the standard communication protocol and careful design practices. The important point for this is also the development of intelligent control modules for replacing the conventional zone adapter in fire system. Therefore, this paper proposes an new conceptual design of the open distributed fire alarm signaling system for the integration of BAS, a new intelligent control modules with LonTalk protocol and a new control modules for power line communication. Newly proposed additions to LonWorks network make it very well suited for integrating fire systems with other building automation sub-systems and another BAS with low cost. Additionally, it is very important that best design practices, test procedures and building codes need to be modernized to accommodate integrated building systems.

  • In this talk we proposed an asymptotic test for dimensionality in the latent variable model for probabilistic principal component analysis with missing values at random. Proposed algorithm is a sequential likelihood ratio test for an appropriate Normal latent variable model for the principal component analysis. Modified EM-algorithm is used to find MLE for the model parameters. Results from simulations and real data sets give us promising evidences that the proposed method is useful in finding necessary number of components in the principal component analysis with missing values at random.

  • According to high-speed large scale integration trend of Memory module product, many type of noises, such a reflection, cross-talk simultaneous switching noise, occur on the Package PCB and they make the deterioration of memory module's performance and reliability. As module products have more high efficiency, Hardware of test board and socket has to be considered In test of the high-speed Memory Module. we mainly focused on improvement of Signal integrity Using the High Frequency Test socket that we invented

  • Objectives: It helps dental clinic to work 1:1 consulting and select the properties of the Kakao Talk message. The study was designed to determine the influence of users cognitive and emotional responses by message attribute that affect intention of use of dental clinic. Methods: This study targeted 297 peple Kakao Talk users aged 20-50 s, in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Incheon from, February 6 to April 7, 2017. We analyzed the data with frequency analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis by using SPSS ver 24.0(SPSS Inc, Chicago, USA). The significance level for significance was set at 0.05. Results: Among the user's responses about the event type Kakao talk message, the ease(${\beta}=0.121$, p<0.01), usefulness(${\beta}=0.148$, p<0.001), affinity(${\beta}=0.471$, p<0.001), satisfaction(${\beta}=0.249$, p<0.001). affected intention of use of dental clinic. Among the user's responses about the dental information type, the ease(${\beta}=0.150$, p<0.05), expertise(${\beta}=0.151$, p<0.05), satisfaction(${\beta}=0.237$, p<0.001) affected intention of use of dental clinic(p<0.05). Among the user's responses about the general public relations type, the expertise(${\beta}=0.254$), affinity(${\beta}=0.193$), satisfaction(${\beta}=0.474$) affected intention of use of dental clinic(p<0.001). Conclusion: It is necessary to elicit a positive intention of use of dental clinic through a highly emotional response from the users to improve the image of the dental clinic and to attract patients.

  • Background: Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) is a new radiation therapy. In BNCT, there exists some very critical problems that should be solved. One of the severest problems is that the treatment effect cannot be known during BNCT in real time. We are now developing a SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) system (BNCT-SPECT), with a cadmium telluride (CdTe) semiconductor detector. BNCT-SPECT can obtain the BNCT treatment effect by measuring 478 keV gamma-rays emitted from the excited state of $^7Li$ nucleus created by $^{10}B(n,{\alpha})$ $^7Li$ reaction. In the previous studies, we investigated the feasibility of the BNCT-SPECT system. As a result, the S/N ratio did not meet the criterion of S/N > 1 because deterioration of the S/N ratio occurred caused by the influence of Compton scattering especially due to capture gamma-rays of hydrogen. Materials and Methods: We thus produced an arrayed detector with two CdTe crystals to test cross talk phenomenon and to examine an anti-coincidence detection possibility. For more precise analysis for the anti-coincidence detection, we designed and made a collimator having a similar performance to the real BNCT-SPECT. Results and Discussion: We carried out experiments with the collimator to examine the effect of cross talk of scattering gamma-rays between CdTe elements more practically. As a result of measurement the coincidence events were successfully extracted. Conclusion: We are now planning to carry out evaluation of coincidence rate from the measurement and comparison of it with the numerical calculations.

  • This is an in-dept case study that extract the problems showing remarkable gender gap in 6th graders and analyze the difference between boys and girls in the process of problem solving. This study can be summarized as the following. First, according to the result of basic study, the parts are divided into measurement, probability and statistics and regularity. And then test problems and face-to-face talk contents are developed. Second, the distinct features between boys and girls, follow-up study and face-to-face talk. As a result, five characteristics of gender gap are selected. Through the results of this study, the improvement of teaching & learning development and evaluation considering gender is expected in the classrooms of elementary schools.

  • Over the past several years the millimeter wave VLBI(Veryl Long Baseline Interferometry) observations have been intensively carried out. However In millimeter and sub-millimeter waves observations for VLBI, it is crucial to calibrate correctly the phase variations of the electromagnetic waves propagation through the troposphere. To do this, KVN(Korean VLBI Network) has a unique multi-frequency bands receiver system which is able to perform the simultaneous observations in up to four bands such as 22, 43, 86, and 129GHz. The phase of a source at 22GHz can be used to calibrate the phase of the same source at higher frequency bands. The phase calibration using multi-frequency bands receiver system is possible because the phase fluctuations from a given amount of waver vapor increase linearly with frequency. That is to say that troposphere is non-dispersive property in terms of tropospheric delay fluctuations. In this talk, We present results of test observation for multi-frequency bands receiver system.

  • This paper continues companion paper, part I : measurement and analysis. As shown in companion Paper, information and energy in monaural signal is quite different from that of binaural signal. In this paper, difference between monaural and binaural signal of transportation noise are investigated in subjective response test. We executed hearing screening test before giving a subject response test and excluded subjects who had physical hearing loss. An annoyance response test was conducted using headphone to avoid cross-talk effect in binaural testing. Percentage of highly annoyed under binaural signal reproduction is higher than percentage of highly annoyed under monaural signal reproduction. Result implies binaural reproduction technique is proper for a study of human response to short-term noise exposure in a headphone simulated-environment.
