In this study, the relation between cant deficiency(C＇) and rail wear in Seoul Metro Line 5 with STEDEF track structure(concrete bed) is studied. As a result, it is found that cant deficiency have a direct influence on rail wear, and under the condition that other negative effects are neglected, the cant deficiency in Metro Lines is demanded to set as little as possible.

In crushed service areas of Metro railway lines, there are problems such as the buildup discontent, the irregular operation time and rotation of rolling stocks, caused by frequently occurred train delay. Train delay is affected by operation conditions or infrastructure capacities such as train schedule, line capacity, car rotation plan, shunting movements at origin and destination, and also by transport demand characteristics. Furthermore, a delay produce another delays and spread over the following trains. So it is not easy to build up a protection and recovery plan. In this research, we conduct experimental analysis study based on the real metro data, and as a result, present the relation between the traffic demand and the dwell time. And finally, propose future research themes for improving the operation efficiency of metro railways.

서울의 대표적 도시하천인 중랑천의 수질 변화에 따른 어류군집의 장기적 변동과 군집의 안정성에 대해 1990년부터 2001년까지 조사하였다. 중랑천은 1980년대와 1990년대초까지는 수질악화, 수변대 훼손으로 물고기가 서식하지 못하였으나 1990년대 초반이후의 수질개선으로 잉어 및 붕어와 같이 오염에 강한 종들부터 서식하기 시작하여 현재까지 18종의 서식이 확인되고 있다. 연도별 출현종수는 1990년에는 어류의 서식을 확인할 수 없었으며, 1996년 6종, 1998년 9종, 2000년 11종, 2001년 14종으로 증가하는 추세다. 그러나 출현종 및 개체수 증가에 따라 갈수기인 봄철과 이른 여름철에는 산란장소를 찾는 잉어, 붕어 등이 한강에서 중랑천으로 대거 이동하는 과정에서 대량폐사가 발생하기도 하였다. 2000년 4월 및 6월, 2001년 6월에는 중랑하수처리장 하류와 수중보 정체구역에서 소량의 소나기성 강우 이후 발생한 일시적 용존산소 고갈로 대량의 잉어류폐사가 발생하였다. 수질사고 이후, 수중보 및 하상 저니 등에 관련된 중랑천 생태계의 구조와 기능에 대해 많은 연구와 개선이 이루어졌으나 본래의 자연성을 아직까지 회복하지 못하고 있다. 특히 중랑천은 2005년 9월에 하천 복원이 완료되는 청계천의 한강어류 이동통로 역활이 중요시되고 있는 하천이다.

In this paper, traffic modeling and control design was considered to analyze and improve the stability of train diagram in the open-loop Metro line. A complete discrete-event traffic model describing the natural instability of open-loop metro line is analyzed. The traffic stability properties are introduced and easy-to-implement state feed back traffic control algorithms are designed, which satisfied with system stability.

Traditional deterministic channel modeling is accurate in prediction, but due to its complexity, improving computational efficiency remains a challenge. In an alternative approach, we investigated a multilayer artificial neural network (ANN) to predict large-scale and small-scale channel characteristics in metro tunnels. Simulated high-precision training datasets were obtained by combining measurement campaign with a ray tracing (RT) method in a metro tunnel. Performance on the training data was used to determine the number of hidden layers and neurons of the multilayer ANN. The proposed multilayer ANN performed efficiently (10 s for training; 0.19 ms for prediction), and accurately, with better approximation of the RT data than the single-layer ANN. The root mean square errors (RMSE) of path loss (2.82 dB), root mean square delay spread (0.61 ns), azimuth angle spread (3.06°), and elevation angle spread (1.22°) were impressive. These results demonstrate the superior computing efficiency and model complexity of ANNs.

Metro serves more than a basic function of transporting passengers between short distances but became a crucial part of civic culture due to the fact that citizens demand various facilities for better life style. Therefore, domestic metro cuts off train noise and air dust, provides pleasant platform surroundings by offering effective HVAC, and establishes PSD (Platform Screen Door) system to prevent falls into train tracks. To control and interlock EMU Door and PSD to avoid passenger complaint and revenue service obstructions, stability and reliability of on-board & wayside equipment are required foremost and each line needs to build optimum interface between on-board & wayside equipment. To control PSD, we would like to introduce examples of Busan Metro(BTC : Busan Transportation Corporation) which already utilizes interface between on-board & wayside equipment in various ways and consider optimum interface between on-board & wayside equipment in future PSD system.

Over the years, the Social Republic of Vietnam has demonstrated its high annual growth rate over 8%. In order to secure its sustainable economic growth, its has also demonstrated its sharp concerns on building up core infrastructures by luring foreign investments on a large scale, which would underpin the nation's economic propulsion. Among others, transport infrastructures and networks centering on railway systems are obviously seen as the most urgent to be built to continue its growth. Seoul Metro recently took a significant step forward in Vietnam to launch railway business by executing its export project of 6 units of metro cars to Hanoi as on July 10, 2008. Those 6 cars are scheduled to be put on the tracks linking Yen Bian, Hanoi with Ha Long, for demonstrative running, around October, 2008, carrying tourists on that 163kms of the National Railway line serving the region. A successful running on the track will duly entail further export of additional 54 units of Seoul Metro cars to Vietnam. In this thesis, description will be noted on the reuse and economic value of the Seoul Metro's de-commissioned metro cars, reflecting on the current urban railway law at home regulating the service life of rolling stocks domestically. This thesis will also study the points at issue, and the recommendable future orientation of the Vietnam railway business project.

Recently, due to the expansion of urban infrastructure using underground spaces in urban areas, many adjacent constructions and excavations have been made carried out between existing facilities, and complaints related to the stability of existing facilities due to close construction have become significant issues. In this study, it was closely reviewed for the existing metro tunnel structure in the new Dongbuk urban metro railway to determine the behavioral characteristics of tunnel structure according to adjacent tunnel construction. Also, it was analysed the evaluation of the safety zone and excavation method for metro tunnel structure. And after a detailed damage assessment, track irregularities and structural calculation by using a numerical analysis, stability of the metro tunnel structure according to nearby tunnel excavation was evaluated to be secured for safety. This study is expected to be applied as practical reference to review the evaluation of safety effects of existing tunnel structure and buildings according to adjacent construction in complex deep urban tunnelling.

Metro-Sexual is one of the most representing case showing contemporary life style of men that rooted into public already. The fundamental feature of this Metro-Sexual is the conversion of men's costume style to womanness which also could be seen from the history of clothes. The former works about sexual image, expression of sexual identity, androgynous and borderless phenomenon have been referred as base of this work. To analyze Metro-Sexual in modern social/cultural factors through such existing works will be critical part of understanding entire fashion trend in this day beyond sexual limit. As research method, former works, references, various fashion magazines and fashion related sites was used to grasp conception and womanity of Metro-Sexual. In a limited time interval from $2001{\sim}2006$ for practical work, silhouette, detail, trimming, colors, items, patterns and accessories were analyzed selected from famous S/S, F/W men's fashion collection magazine and internet site of professional fashion institute. It is obvious that Metro-Sexual already spread out in men's fashion based on such social/cultural background as new century's icon that regarded as critical factor in researching contemporary men's fashion and of the future.
