광역급행철도 터널에 고속 R-bar 적용에 관한 연구 (Study for Application of High Speed R-bar System in Metro Express Railway Tunnel)

  • Maximum speed of the train could not exceed over 160km/h with R-bar system in the underground type tunnel structure. By the research to overcome this speed limit, maximum speed has reached up to 200~250km/h recently by new R-bar system. It is under discussion to construct Metro Express Line between Gyonggido and Seoul which requires maximum speed 180km/h~230km/h. New R-bar is an optimal system to achieve the speed improvement in this line. This study shows application of the high speed R-bar system in the underground tunnel section.

  • There have been many changes in Subway train types since SeoulMetro opened the Line No.1 in 1974. Propulsion control device has changed many times following the generations of control method from resistance control method which uses large resistor for the traction motor control to chopping control which uses power semiconductors and finally to inverter control. Railroad vehicle propulsion control device refers to devices such as converter/inverter which supply power for subway operation, power conversion equipment like small switching-mode power supply and traction motor. In this paper, we will analyze every part of railroad vehicle propulsion control device of SeoulMetro so we can find problems in the subway operation. And we will present propulsion control device model which makes minimized failures, efficient maintenance possible when replacing railroad vehicle later. By doing this, we hope to ensure stability and improve energy efficiency to the top.

  • The recent environmental protection trend requires more strict energy saving, therefore every transportation system should reduce energy consumption to the minimum value. High-efficiency operation system, energy saving and CO2 emissions shall be addressed as important issue in railway system. These issues are the most essential factors of railway, compared to major public transportation system. Recently, saving energy in the electric railway system has been studied. For such new energy saving, the Energy storage system is considered for saving energy. Energy saving is possible by efficient use of regenerated energy. Regenerated energy is recycled amongst vehicles by mean of charge and discharge corresponding to powering and braking of electric vehicle operations. This energy saving contributes to cut CO2 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling regenerated energy demonstrate significant effect on peak cut of consumption energy in railway substation. Absorption of excess energy avoids regeneration failure due to high traction voltage. This paper presents effects by applying the energy storage system to SeoulMetro Line 2.

  • Pantograph sliding plate abrasion auto-detect system, one of the electric rail car auto-detecting devices, is a system that decides how much abrasion and when to replace without an inspector physically looking at the abrasion on the wet plate using machine vision, a cutting-edge technology. This paper covers the cause of deteriorating reliability that affects pantograph wet plate edge detection due to noise added to the video when it rains. In order to remove such noise, problems should be checked through Smoothing, Averaging mask and Median filter using filtering technique and stable edge detection without being affected by noise should be induced in video measurement used in machine vision technology.

  • Recently, ubiquitous sensor network forms the self-organization network, and transfers the information among sensor nodes that have computing technology ability. In this paper, we design and implement U-IT system for monitoring the safety of metro railway and underground shopping malls. For this, we implement sensor nodes to support IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication standard using low power. Also we implement USN gateway node system to transmit the collected data from sensor nodes to database server over CDMA cellular network.

  • Balantidiasis is an infectious disease worldwide which is produced by a protozoan Balantidium coli. This single-celled organism is characterized by their large size ranging from 50 $\mu\textrm{m}$ to more than 500 $\mu\textrm{m}$ [1] which indicated by the presence of cilia on its cell surface. The parasite occurs in the lumen of cecum and colon of swine, humans and nonhuman primates as commensal, but can turn opportunist and invade injury tissues by other diseases [2]. It is difficult to diagnose the disease clinically since they are asymptomatic [3]; and can be complicated with other disease or parasitism. Here we report the incidental findings of Balantidiasis in the lymphatic ducts of gastric lymph node of Barbary sheep (Ammotragus lervia). (omitted)

전동차 유지보수를 위한 BOM 체계 구축에 관한 (A Study on BOM System Constructing for Rolling Stock Maintenance)

  • The most important part of RIMS(Rolling Stock Information Maintenance System) project is to construct BOM(Bill of Material). BOM is a listing or description of raw materials, parts, and assemblies that define a product. To construct BOM for RIMS is not a easy task due to several reasons such as data base scale and flexibility, proper integration between physical BOM and functional BOM, interoperability with other systems, etc. In this study we show several principles that Seoul Metro takes to get over the difficulties mentioned above. Based on these principles we propose the methodology Seoul Metro employs to construct BOM efficiently. We also discuss the applicability of BOM in several fields.

  • 현재 대부분 사용되고 있는 반발경도법을 이용한 강도 추정식을 서울의 대표적인 지하구조물에 적용할 경우 준공년도에 따른 재령계수의 적용이 부적합한 것으로 판단됨에 따라 본 연구에서는 최근 8년간 수행된 서울지하철 정밀안전진단결과를 이용하여 코어의 일축압축강도와 동일위치에서 실시된 반발경도 시험결과와의 상관관계에 준공년도를 고려하여 공용중인 박스 및 터널구조물에 대한 합리적인 강도평가 추정식을 제시하였다.

  • 유비쿼터스 도시는 도시건설산업과 유비쿼터스 정보기술의 융합에 의해 이루어진다. 도시건설산업은 도시의 물리적 공간을 건설하는 분야로 점점 공용화, 통합화, 융합화 될 것이다. 지하시설물은 공동구를 활용하여 공용화하고, 지상시설물은 통합화가 가능한 시설들부터 통합화한 후 센서통신망이 발전하면 융합화시켜 지능화시킨다. 정보기술은 전산화를 지나 정보화를 이루었고, 유비쿼터스 정보화로 발전되고 있다. 이 논문은 유비쿼터스도시의 건설등에 관한 법률이 시행됨에 따라 도시공간과 유비쿼터스 기술의 융합화 방향을 설정하기 위한 논문이다.

Design Issues on a Metropolitan WDM Ring Network

  • A metro ring network using WDM technology requires many issues to be considered even though its transmission distance is shorter and its transmission capacity is lower than a long-haul WDM system. Unlike a long-haul WDM system, which is basically point-to-point configuration, a metro ring network usually equips with capabilty of wavelength reconfiguration. Therefore network performance considering crosstalk within OADM and the network behavior when the ring network is closed should be analyzed before implemented. We discussed some of results analyzed for the issues. Furthermore we proposed a novel method to design a dispersion map for a ring network, and demonstrated the methodology with an exemplary 8-node ring network of 399km circumference.
