Method: The subjects were 306 university students, living in K city in Chungnam province from April 1 to 20th, 2002. The instruments used were the alcohol consumption behavior scale, that is the drinking intensity score, and developed by Shin(1998)'s scale of drinking problem, refusal self-efficacy scale by Aas et. al.(1995), alcohol expectancy by Goldman et. al. (1989), TPQ scale by Cloninger(1991), depression scale by Zung(1974), family cohesion scale by Olson et. al. (1983). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression by using SPSS & SAS program. Results: The multiple regression analysis revealed that the most powerful predictor of alcohol consumption behavior was the influence of friends (drinking everyday) (17.0%). A combination of alcohol expectancy (8.0%), influence of friends (4.0%), father's influence (2.0%), depression(2.0%), refusal self-efficacy (1.0%), personality of harm avoidance(1.0%), and monthly pocket money (2.0%) accounted for 38.6% of the variance in alcohol consumption behavior. Conclusion: From the results, we recommend to use the database that develops nursing intervention program for decreasing the alcohol consumption behavior including the influencing factors in university students.

  • Miss Ki, the heroine of (취유부벽정기) is the image on which Hong-saeng's mind is projected. And the mind of Hong-saeng(홍생) is the allegory of Kim, si-seop's(김시습) mind to king Dan-jong. So I think the mind of Ki who thinks patriotism is more important than her life is the allegory of Kim si-seop's patriotic sentiment to king Dan-jong. And I think the sorrow of Hong-saeng for the ruins of Ko-choseon(고조선) means sorrow of Kim, si-seop's(김시습) for the death of Dan-jong's. They felt sorrowful because values that they considered as absolute ones were damaged. However, everything in the world are fatally changed. Although people think the most important thing they think now is never changed, after long time they cannot but see all is changed. At last people realize the thing seemed most important will disappear in vain. So the writer of (취유부벽정기) made a image of Miss Ki who is a nymph of moon and was the princess of Ko-choseon to awaken Hong-saeng. He intended to change hong-saeng's mind to king Dan-jong with the change of Miss Ki's mind to her father. But the writer knew the fact that though Hong-saeng changed his mind, he could not become happy. So he wanted to transcend the real world, but he can't. After all he expressed his wants in fantastic lunar world.

  • This study was conducted to identify the factors associated with weight control and nutritional knowledge of juvenile delinquents. The average heights of the subjects in this study were 172.20 cm (male) and 160.89 cm (female), and the average weights were 66.73 kg (male) and 58.42 kg (female), and the BMIs (Body Mass Index; $kg/m^2$) were 22.46 (male) and 22.54 (female). The results of this study revealed that 41.4% of the subjects were over weight or obese. In addition, there were significant differences in the BMI, satisfaction with body image and perception of body image observed between male and female subjects. Furthermore, female subjects were more experienced at weight control than male students (p<0.001). Additionally, overweight and obese individuals had more experience with weight control than subjects that were not overweight. Moreover, there were significant differences in the reason that subjects took weight control measured between male and female students. Specifically, female subjects practiced weight control due to their appearance (p<0.001). The order of methods by which male subjects attempted to control their weight was exercise>diet control>starvation and for girl student were diet control>starvation>excercise. The nutritional knowledge scores were higher for female subjects than for mele subjects. In addition, the nutritional knowledge scores increased as the BMI value increased and the $father^{\circ}{\emptyset}s$ educational level increased. These results of this study could be useful data to plan and develop nutritional education programs for juvenile delinquents.
