실내건축 공간 디자인을 위한 '빛' 관련 디자인개념 추출 - 빛에 의한 시지각적 현상(現象)으로서의 공간 조형성을 중심으로 - (Extraction of Design Concepts of Light for the Architectural Interior Space - Focused on the plastic character of space as visual phenomenon by Light -)

  • The purpose of this study is to extract design concepts, especially in relation to light, as a part of extracting design concepts in architectural interior design. This study consists of two steps. Firstly, appropriate design concepts are extracted from various design characteristics. Secondly, these concepts are classified in the frame of other components of architectural space, as well as in the frame of the plastic characteristics of light. Various design characteristics were analyzed, those of which relating to the plastic character of space, namely, visual phenomenon. As a result of the analysis, 32 concepts were extracted. These concepts, in the frame of other components of architectural space (space, form, structure, opening of space, material, color, inside & outside relationship), were classified, as well as In the frame of the plastic character of Light (transparency, perception, direction, ornament). As the results of this research, the suggested design concepts will be a study material, available to the interior designers as well as students who want to utilize the organized study concepts.

  • Design concepts of light can be divided into two respects, visual plastic and metaphysical meaning. The current research focuses on the second respect. The meaning of light is abstract characteristics(for example, divinity, spirituality, or image) ultimately expressed by visual plastic. Because it makes architectural space abundant, it have been expressed frequently in architectural space until now. The purpose of this paper is to conceptualize and explain and arrange the meanings of light in the category that have been expressed in architectural space from ancient to current. The method of this study is content analysis and case study, and this is supplement by theoretical consideration on the meaning of light(relationship between perception and meaning, elements to form meaning etc.). This study consists of three steps. Firstly, through the content analysis of existing literature and documents, 17 meanings of light are confirmed. Secondly, these 17 meanings are defined and explained in 3 categories(symbolic, esthetic, and experiential character). Thirdly, they are additionally explained and articulated by case study. In the result, various meanings of light that have been fragmentarily expressed in architectural space until now is clearly arranged at a glance. Those suggested design concepts will be basic conferential material, available to the interior designers and students who want to utilize the organised study concepts.

  • For ages, Furniture, it has been improved for human aesthetic needs as well as human life as a tool. In the 1960s, it's the age of an ideological conflict. And its war made the hippie-culture come out. And, it was economically bountiful. The epoch-making development of the scientific technology made the result of space development, conquering the moon in the first of the mankind. Made the appearance of the Anti-design against the modern design which was the also, it traditional values and the mainstream. The plastic has merits, low-priced, light, being perfectly able to do mass production of the all kind of shapes' furniture with all-desired colors. It was the wonderful material for the expression of the short-life character, the irony, the kitsch, and an intentional decoration to being chased by anti-design. And the result, the plastic furniture in the people's daily-life has well represented with reflecting the mind of the people in that age.

그리스 조상(彫像)에 나타난 복식(服飾)의 조형성(造形性) 연구(硏究) - 드레퍼리와 주름을 중심(中心)으로 - (A Study on Plastic Characteristics in Style of Greek Statue's Clothing - Concentrating on Drapery and Pleats -)

  • The purposes of this study are to comprehend the internal meaning and the external form in style of Greek statue's clothing in the light of linked solution, and to compare the characterizations of style of Greek statue's clothing with those in Greek Art. For these purpose, the theoretical studies about Greek art are preceded as a framework of this research, and then plastic characteristics of Greek statue's clothing and Greek art are analyzed by the documentary studies, For sources, photographs of Greek statue in Archaeological Museum and Louvre museum are used. The result is as follows. It is demonstrated that the characters of internal meaning in style of Greek art and Greek statue's clothing. The internal meaning of style of Greek art and Greek statue's clothing are as follows 1) Beauty of vital is subject that possessed life and movement and embodied dynamics or inherent power. 2) Beauty of moderation is subject that achieves some of its most impressive and practise a similar economy and restraint. 3) Beauty of character is subject that reveals the character of its wearer and has its own charm and distinction The Greeks clarified beauty by looking for mathematical proportions. It is the interrelation of part with one another, and with the whole, together with the additional element of good colour, which constitutes beauty as perceived by the eyes. The beauty in style of Greek statue's clothing consists of a sense of geometrical pattern, oder, symmetry, proportion, and rhythm.

EFFECT OF ION BEAM ASSISTED CLEANING ON ADHESION OF ALUMINIUM TO POLYMER SUBSTRATE OF PC AND PMMA

  • As metallic surface has its unique lustrous appearance and optical reflectance in visible range of light, the metallization of plastic surface has been an essential drive toward weight reduction for fuel economy and decorations in transportation industry and has been put into practiced from wet chemical-electrochemial to dry vacuum process in view of an environmental effect. Electron-beam metallization was used in this work with an aim at improving the scratchproof surface hardness of plastic substrate with metallic finish character. Thin film of Al ($1000\AA$) and $SiO_2$($7000\AA$) were metallized on substrate of PC and PMMA and the films were evaluated by pencil test for surface hardness and by cross-cut tape test for adhesion. The ion beam treatment improved around twice as hard as non-treat surface. The ion beam is effect on its hardness and adhesion to surface hardened PC substrate.

저 조도 영상에서의 말레이시아 차량 번호판 인식 (Malaysian Vehicle License Plate Recognition in Low Illumination Images)

  • 말레이시아 차량 번호판에는 플라스틱으로 제작된 영문 및 숫자들이 엠보싱 형태로 부착되어있으며 수평 수직방향 문자들 사이 간격이 조밀하게 배치된 경우가 많다. 따라서 조도가 낮은 차량 영상에서는 번호판 문자 획 정보 추출이 어려워질 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 저 조도에서 촬영된 말레이시아 차량 영상에서 번호판을 인식하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 저 조도에서 촬영된 차량 영상에서도 문자 획 연결 요소를 정확하게 추출하기 위해 DoG 필터링 기반 문자 획 생성 기법을 도입하였다. 문자 획 연결요소 해석을 통한 번호판 후보 영역을 추정한 다음 문자 영역을 분할하고 인식을 하였다. 쿠알라룸푸르 도로상에서 조명이 부착되지 않은 IR 카메라를 사용하여 주야로 촬영한 6,046장의 차량 영상을 대상으로 번호판 인식 실험을 수행하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 이용하여 실험해 본 결과 번호판 인식 성능이 96.1%로 나타났다.

Identification of Diachea leucopodia on Strawberry from Greenhouse in Korea

  • We have detected the slime mold, Diachea leucopodia (GNU06-10) in a strawberry greenhouse located in Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam. Typical fruiting bodies had developed gregariously on the strawberry leaves, petioles, and plant debris on ground soil habitat, and also surprisingly on plastic pipes and a vinyl covering. Field samples were examined via stereomicroscopy, light microscopy, and SEM for the determination of morphological characteristics. Dark-brown to black spores formed gregariously within the stipitate cylindrical sporangium, and were covered by an iridescent peridium, which may be intact at maturity, or may have disintegrated. The upper portion of the peridium generally breaks up to expose the spores, whereas the lower portion was usually persistent. The results of energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS) analysis showed that lime was present in the stalk and columella but absent from the spores, capillitium, and peridium. The above characteristics confirm its taxonomic position in the genus Diachea. However, this genus is intermediate in character between the Physarales and Stemonitales of the Myxogastromycetidae. Hence, this genus had been classified as a member of the Stemonitales until the mid-1970's, on the basis of its iridescent peridium and noncalcareous capillitial system, similar to Comatricha of the Stemonitaceae. By way of contrast, emphasis on morphological characteristics, most notably the calcareous stalk and typical columella, places Diachea within the order Physarales. The presence of a phaneroplasmodium during the trophic stage and lime deposition in its sporophores, as was confirmed in this work, supported the inclusion of Diachea in the Physarales, and the noncalcareous capillitial system verified its identification as a member of the Didymiaceae. Further characteristics of the species D. leucopodia include the following: phaneroplasmodium, spore globose 7.5 ${\mu}m$ in diameter, very minutely roughened; sporangia $500{\mu}m\times1mm$, more or less cylindrical, gregarious, stalked 1.2mm; stalk and columella white.
