By November 2017, the number of overseas travelers of the Korean nationals reached a cumulative total of 2,409,155, bringing about 26 million overseas travelers. For Korea's future growth and development, it is necessary to make the country much more attractive than now, and to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic tourism field and attract the people of the world. The purpose of this study is to analyze the satisfaction of tourism policy and to utilize it in the development of tourism policy through the empirical analysis of the satisfaction of the tourism resource development and the tourism development policy in Korea. The policy that can achieve the policy purpose pursued by the regional tourism resource development and the future regional tourism resource development and development policy plan were suggested. It is necessary to consider factors related to development of tourism resources such as policy factors, development factors, management factors, and environmental factors. Local tourism development policies should be made considering the factors related to tourism policy expectation, regional characteristics, cultural characteristics and environmental characteristics. In addition, the global competitiveness of the tourism industry and enterprises should be strengthened through the protection of companies and rationalization of tourism related regulations in relation to the opening and expansion of the global tourism market scale.

There are plenty of ecological and traditional resources around Wandong and the Hwangryong-River district, and so the purpose of this development plan is to preserve ecological resources and traditional culture, and to utilize potential value of recreation in this site. Two major concepts are established in this plan one is “Green-Tourism”, the other is “Blue-Recreation”. In this development plan “Green-Tourism” means the effective tourism using ecological and traditional resources, while “Blue-Recreation” means the active tourism using waterfront and cultural facilities. The concept of “Green-Tourism” is applied to the Wangdong area, which is comprised of 6 theme zones. The concept of “Blue-Recreation” is applied to the Hwangryong-River area, which is composed of 4 theme zones. In total, 10 theme zones are planned according to characteristics found in the regional surroundings and cultural facilities of each zone.

The purpose of this study is to identify the priorities with respect to the characteristics of tourism resources development plan between the South and the North Korea. Through a preliminary investigation 287 lists of questions were distributed from May 14, 2012 to December 5, 2012 and from among them 252 lists were used. Expert Choice 11.5 was used to do pairwise comparisons and priorities assessment. Based upon the results of empirical analysis, the priority order sets of the domain of tourism resources development plan should be related to the development contents, the development objects, the development patterns, and the development subjects in the South Korea. Those should be related to the development subjects, the development objects, the development contents, and the development patterns in the North Korea.

This study analyzed tourists' intention at Gangcheon Mountain, Sunchang-gun for local tourism. The contents of study included impression, characteristics, specialized resources, development direction, intention of visit and its form, destination prior and post visit, travelling expenses, and development form of tourism. The results were as following. Impression and characteristics showed that gochujang and fermentation industry established a strategic ground of local development. Intention of revisit of tourists was relatively high by 97.1%. Furthermore, tourists were mainly family units and they preferred family-based recreational type for the future local tourism development form. Therefore, a development strategy will be required that involves inexpensive accommodation, unique local food items, agricultural-specialty products and local tour packages. For invigoration of local tourism, recruitment of skilled managers for farm village experience will be necessary as well.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effects of Human Resources Development by type and strategy, and to review the importance of Human resources Development in the knowledge-based society in a comprehensive way. In particular, the paper reviews the tourism industry, one of the typical service industry, for which the utilization of the Human Resources is crucial. and it presents a specific direction policy of Human Resources Development in the field. An analysis was performed for each area of Human Resources Development inputs and output factors which lead to achieve the purpose of the study was to review the characteristics of the Human Resources Development area. After reviewing, the tourism industry was differentiated according to type of strategy development areas through a statistical approach to the input and output elements around. In this study, along with the estabilishment of a Human Resources development strategy bases on the nature and purpose of differentiation with future Human resource Development in each region showed that the operations of the business need.

The purpose of the research is to investigate the possibility of the tourism resources development preference of sport leisure event activity of participation as one use MDS and clustering market character. An empirical research has been undertaken the questionnaire had be distributed to the whole country inline marathon races participation and there were 330 responses. The research was conducted by using statistical packages of SPSS program. As research methods factor analysis and cluster analysis were also employed. Three distinct cluster groups were categorized by their characteristics: 'money acquirement participation', 'self realization moderators', 'self realization enthusiasts', and there was differences among segmented groups in terms of their affecting factors to the tourism resources development preference. These findings suggested that there were need to tourism resources development for different segmented groups of sports leisure event activity selection attributes and each group pursued different satisfaction.

The purpose of this study is to inquiry specialized development strategies to revive the declining regional tourism in Japan, through the general characteristics of tourists and the evaluation of various tourism resources. Reaching its period of maturity after the bubble economy collapse, domestic tourism in Japan requires a change in quality of the regional tourism industry. The Kakeyu spa region, which has long history and abundant cultural resources, is specializing through rehabilitation strengthening theme of 'health seeking and recuperation'. The rate of the elderly women visitors is high in the Kakeyu spa, and the visitors use public transport and make a relatively long stay, because they want to recuperate their health or to cure their disease. In the evaluation of tourism resources, the visitors showed an increasing interest in the solemn temple scenery and the tranquil stroll road which are near by their lodgings. To reflect such demand characteristics, the Kakeyu community is actively developing the business such as rehabilitation, health-food development, voluntary service, and barrier free based on spa, culture, and nature.

This study is to diagnose the tourism structure of the southern region in Kangwon province and to correct the problems regarding the subject. The methods of comparison and analysis on structural and geographical characteristics of tourists, tourism resources, and tourism industry by region have been employed. It was found that the southern region of Kangwon province has many advantages for tourism industry including excellent transportation networks such as Kangnws and Wonju and tourism demands are great for coal mines in the region including Chongson, Taebaek, and Samchok. Accordingly, tourism in the region has witnessed a distinctive increase in recent years. On the other hand, excessive dependence on nature-based tourism, concentration of tourism demands only during summer season, and insufficient tourism facilities are found to be problems. This study also found that for sustainable tourism developments in the southern region of Kangwon, categorization and diversification of tourism resources, development of combined programs connecting Kangwon province to other regions, improvement of tourism facilities, expansion of tourism market, and smaller division of tourism area are necessary.

In this study, the characteristics of rural tourism image perceived by urban residents were analyzed through text analysis of blog data. In order to examine the images related to rural tourism, blog data written with the keyword "Gochang-gun travel" was used. LDA topic analysis, one of the text mining techniques, was used for the analysis. In the tourism image of Gochang-gun, 9 topics were derived, and 112 major places appeared. This was divided into 3 main activities and 5 object spaces through the review of keywords and the original text of blog data. As a result of the analysis, the traditional main resources of the region, Seonun mountain, Seonun temple, and Gochang-eup fortress, formed topic. On the other hand, world heritage such as dolmen and Ungok wetland did not appear as topic. In particular, the farms operated by the private sector form individual topics, and the theme farm can be seen as an important resource for tourism in Gochang-gun. Also, through the distribution of place keywords, it was possible to understand the characteristics of travel by region and the usage behavior of visitors. In the case of Gochang-gun, there was a phenomenon in which visitors were biased by region. This seems to be the result of Gochang-gun seeking to vitalize local tourism focusing on natural, ecological, and scenic resources. It is necessary to establish a plan for balanced regional development and develop other types of tourism resources. This study is different in that it identified the types and characteristics of rural tourism images in the region perceived by visitors, and the status of tourism at the regional level.
