SF_6 가스의 전자에너지 분포함수에 관한 연구 (A Study on the electron energy diffusion function of the sulphur hexaflouride)

  • The electron energy distributions function were analysed in sulphur hexaflouride at E/N : 500~800(Td) for a case of non-equilibrium region in the mean electron energy. This paper describes the electron transport characteristics in $SF_6$ gas calculated for range of E/N values from 150~800(Td) by the Monte Carlo simulation and Boltzmann equation method using a set of electron collision cross sections determined by the authors and the values of electron swarm parameters. The results gained that the value of ane1ctron swarm parameter such as the e1ectron drift velocity, the electron ionization or attachment coefficients, longitudinal and transverse diffusion coefficients agree with the experimental and theoretical for a range of E/N. The properties of electron avalanches in an electron energy non-equilibrium region.

  • Low pressure radio-frequency glow discharges are investigated using theoretical modeling and various experimental diagnostic methods. In the calculations, global models and transformer models are developed to understand the chemical kinetics as well as the electrical properties such as the effective collision frequency, the heating mechanism and the power transferred to the plasma electrons. In addition, Boltzmann equation solver is used to compensate the effect of the electron energy distribution function (EEDF) shape in the global model, and the general expression of energy balance for non-Maxwellian electrons is developed. In the experiments, a number of traditional plasma diagnostic methods are used to compare with calculated results such as Langmuir probe, optical emission spectroscopy (OES), optical absorption spectroscopy (OAS) and two-photon absorption laser-induced fluorescence (TALIF). These theoretical and experimental methods are applied to understand several interesting phenomena in low pressure ICP discharges. The chemical and physical properties of low pressure ICP discharges are described and the applications of these methods are discussed.

  • The direct simulation Monte Carlo Method is applied to investigate the two-dimensional flow fields of a turbomolecular pump(TMP) in both molecular and transition flow regions. The pumping characteristics of the TMP are investigated for a wide range of the Knudsen number. The maximum of compression ratio and of pumping speed strongly depend on the Knudsen number in transition region, while they weakly depend on the Knudsen number in free molecular flow region. The present numerical results show good agreement with the previously known experimental data. Finally. the results of the single blade row in both molecular and transition regions are used to predict the overall performance of a TMP, which has three kinds of blade with 24-rows.

  • This paper calculates and gives the analysis of electron swarm transport coefficients as described electric conductive characteristics of pure Ar, pure $SiH_4$, Ar + $SiH_4$ mixture gases ($SiH_4$--0.5%, 2.5%, 5%) over the range of E/N =0.01${\sim}$300[Td]. P=0.1, 1, 5.0[Torr] by Monte Carlo the Backward prolongation method of the Boltzmann equation using computer simulation without using expensive equipment. The results have been obtained by using the electron collision cross sections by TOF. PT.SST sampling, compared with the experimental data determined by the other author. It also proved the reliability of the electron collision cross sections and shows the practical values of computer simulation.

  • This paper describes the electron transport characteristic in SiH$_4$ gas calculated for range of E/N values from 0.5~300(Td) by the Monte Calro simulation and Boltzmann equation method using a set of electron collision cross sections determined by the authors and the values of electron swarm parameters are obtained for TOF method. The results gained that the value of an electron swarm parameter such as the electron drift velocity, the electron ionization coefficients longitudinal and transverse diffusion coefficients, characteristics energy agree with thee experimental and theoretical for a range of E/N. The electron energy distributions function were analysed in monosilane at EN : 30, 50(Td) for a case of equilibrium region in the mean electron energy. The validity of the results obtained has been confirmed by a TOF method.

  • The performance of a turbomolecular pump(TMP) in both molecular and transition flow regions is predicted by the numerical solutions of the Boltzmann equation obtained by the direct simulation Monte Carlo method. The compression characteristics of the TMP are investigated for a wide range of the Knudsen number( Kn ). The maximum compression ratios strongly depend on Kn in transition region, while do they weakly on Kn in free molecular flow region. The present numerical results of the single blade row in both molecular and transition regions are used to predict the overall performance of a TMP, which has three kinds of blade with 24-rows.

  • A Study on the electron energy distribution function in $SF_6+Ar$ mixtures gas used by MCS-BE algorithm, the electron swam parameters in the 0.5% and 0.2% $SF_6+Ar$ mixtures are measured by time of flight method over the E/N(Td) range from 30 to 300(Td). A two-term approximation of the Boltzmann equation analysis and Monte Carlo simulation have been also used to study electron transport coefficients. The electron energy distribution function has been analysed in $SF_6$ gas and $SF_6+Ar$ mixtures at E/N : 200(Td) for a case of the equilibrium region in the mean electron energy. The measured results and the calculated results have been compared each other.
