Purpose: This study aimed to determine the moderating effect of self-esteem on the perception of death and the meaning of life among hospital nurses. Methods: The participants were 167 nurses working in two tertiary general hospitals located in city B. Data were collected from September 8 to 21, 2022. SPSS/WIN 29.0 was used for analysis along with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The study showed that the meaning of life was significantly correlated with the perception of death (r=.34, p<.001) and self-esteem (r=.31, p<.001). Self-esteem significantly moderated the relationship between the perception of death and the meaning of life (F=16.00, p<.001). Conclusion: Self-esteem may moderate the relationship between the two factors. This means that nurses with higher self-esteem have a greater tendency for their perception of death to positively impact their meaning of life. Therefore, for hospital nurses to discover the meaning of life, it is necessary to develop and apply a self-esteem enhancement program specialized for each clinical career.

I will discuss some aspects of the meaning of prodiscoure maker 'kulay'in Korea.This marker has been studied few scholars,since Korean lingusts did not have any interest about this category of linguistic form.Also,they did not realized the importance of discourse and discourse markers.So,we have only shallow information about prodiscourse phenomena and prodiscourse markers,too. Morphologically,kulay(그래)'could be analyzed into 'ku(그)'and 'lay(래)'and 'lay(래)'could be divided into'l(ㄹ)'and 'ay(ㅐ)' again.But I will discuss 'kulay'as one linguistic unit without divison. It will be claimed in this paper that both [prodiscoures]feature and [discourse continuity]feature can satisfactorily account for the core meaning of'kulay'.And,it will be mentioned that the marker has many kinds of specfic meaning depends on paricular discourse.Also, I would like to examine the semantic feature([prodiscourse+discourse continuity]) in many kinds of korean discourse.And I will show that some factors re;ated tp the marker's specific meaning are the meaning of preceding and following discourse and the participant's psychological attitude.The conclusion must be that the meaning of 'kulay'can help us understand certain phenomena about prodiscourse and prodiscourse markers in the korean language.Also the various meanings of 'kulay'can give more information to Applied-Korean linguistics.

This research was conducted to identify factors that affect work-life balance and happiness among married working couples with a double income. To this end, a survey was administered to 260 married working couples in the Seoul metropolitan region. The analysis of the survey responses using the SPSS (Ver. 21) program yielded several important results. First, the variables that significantly affected work-family balance included the number of family dinners eaten together, meaning of life, efforts to strike a work-life balance, and the availability of social institutions and policies that promote work-life balance. Variables that significantly affected work-leisure balance included meaning of life, number of family dinners eaten together, gender, and the availability of social institutions and policies that promote work-leisure balance. As for work-growth balance, significant variables included meaning of life, communication with colleagues, income, and meaning of work. Finally, variables that significantly affected happiness included meaning of life, income, communication with colleagues, and work-growth balance. Based on these results, follow-up research needs to be conducted on various groups to help determine the factors that will ensure their work-life balance and happiness.

Digital technology has advanced rapidly and it is anticipated that multimodal ways of meaning-making will become increasingly important. Consequently, teaching multimodal literacies is becoming a major issue in education. This study focuses on the use of picture diaries as a means of teaching multimodal literacies. Picture diaries are one of the basic and unique multimodal texts used in lower elementary level classes in Korea. A further advantage is that it is a promising text model which can be taught in unplugged ways. In order to explore the educational implications of using such picture diaries, this study sought to analyze the ways in which twenty four $1_{st}$ graders in an elementary school constructed meaning with written language and pictures in composing picture diaries. 251 picture diaries composed during several months of their $1_{st}$ grade period were analyzed based on the constant comparative method. The results indicated that the students utilized both written language and pictures in diverse and creative ways to provide their audience with more comprehensive meaning. These results indicate that teachers need to consider their students as active multimodal meaning-makers and provide their students with more opportunities to practice multimodal meaning-making and share their experiences.

This study aims to derive discourse's linguistic meaning, production method, and social practice implications by analyzing news reports on de-facility for people with disabilities. To this end, the discourse was analyzed by applying Fairclough's framework of critical discourse analysis. The subject of analysis is a news article on the de-facility of the disabled on the N portal site, and the analysis period is one year, from January 1 to December 31, 2022. First, as a result of the study, the surface meaning of the news discourse on the de-facility for disabled people was ideological through the seriousness of the problem for disabled people, the poor environment, and the policy of de-facility for disabled people separated from reality. Second, the social meaning of the de-facility news discourse for disabled people appeared from a realistic perspective, such as the structural cause of the problem for disabled people and the need for sensible government policies and measures to practice de-facility for disabled people. Finally, the socio-cultural practical implications of the de-facility news discourse for people with disabilities proposed the development of a systematic and realistic de-facility management manual for the disabled, practical government policy support, and changes in self-support perception for disabled people. The results of this study are expected to help find an alternative direction to reduce the gap between actual policies for de-facility for disabled people and practice in the field in the future.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the signification system between color and clothes systematically in black and white clothes. For this purpose, after examining the images of black and white clothes, we selected 55 clothes that represented as black and white and analyzed their meanings and the sources using semiotic framework, based on the work of Saussure and Barthes. The results as follows: First, the meaning in black and white clothes was generated from original color image. White clothes of religious person like Virgin Mary, Angel expressed pure and sacred color image. And black clothes like funeral dress expressed grief and death. Next, the meaning of black and white clothes was regenerated into modern color image by new environment. After industrial revolution, black was considered as a traditional men's fashion color. With diverse leisure activities, white sports wear appeared as active and clean image. Finally the source of the meaning of the clothes was the designer or the wearer. A little black dress by Chanel who was interested in simplicity and function represents an ideal of simple and sexy object. The situation is complicated by the fact that these three kinds of explanation may be found singly or mixed together.

In order to understand the symbolic meaning of the dog in my dream more broadly, this paper aims to examine the symbolic meaning of the dog in various cultures and to understand the inner side in depth through such a process. Just as the growth of a person's character can be achieved through the conscious of the unconsciousness, looking at the contents of dreams made up of symbolic images is an important part of the growth of a person's character. In this paper, I first looked at the biological background of dogs and looked at various cultural symbols of dogs that appear in fairytales, myths, religions and folklore. Next, I reflected how Jung psychology looked at the symbol of the dog and finally discussed what the symbol of the dog in my dream had in the process of analyzing the dream.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a meaning of life scale with high validity and reliability. Method: A conceptual framework composed of 4 phases of meanings of life was identified. And 49 preliminary items on a 4-points scale were developed through content validity. A reliability and validity test of the 49 items was conducted on 564 adults. By means of internal consistency of the 49 items, 1 item was deleted. To verify the 48 items, factor analysis, reliability test, and LISEREL were done. Result: Through exploratory factor analysis of the 48 items, 8 factors were extracted. These factors were labeled as 'self- awareness and self-acceptance', 'hope', 'responsibility awareness', 'love experience', 'self transcendence', 'relation experience', 'self contentedness', and 'Commitment'. Through LISEREL of the 48 items, 2 items were excluded and finally 46 itemsremained. Cronbach's Alpha of the 46 items was .94. The correlation coefficient of the Self-esteem scale was .79. Conclusion: By the above results, the researchers recommend the following: An exploratory study on the variables related to the meaning of life are needed for criterion validity of this scale. Studies on meaning of life of different groupa, and subjects are needed for reverification.

Objectives: This study was done to establish the anatomical meaning of the term 'Geun(筋)'. Methods: Through analysis of 《HwangJeNaeGyeong(黃帝內經)》, the meaning of 'Geun(筋)', 'GeunMag(筋膜)', 'Yug(肉)', and 'Gi(肌)' were established. Based on analysis, the anatomical meaning of the 'Meridian-muscle(經筋)' was studied by comparing it with anatomy. Results & Conclusions: 'Gyeong(經)' is recognized as a metaphysical expression and "Geun(筋)" means myofascia in anatomy. The concept of 'Geun(筋)' includes the epimysium and perimysium, as well as tendons and ligaments, which are extensions of these. 'Fascia', refers to the fascia of the whole body, and also appertain to 'Geun(筋)'. 'Yug(肉)' means endomysium, muscle fiber, and adipose tissue and layer. The word 'GeunMag(筋膜)' used in the 《HwangJeNaeGyeong(黃帝內經)》 means anatomically a 'tendon'. Therefore, 'Muscle' should be translated as 'GeunYug(筋肉)' in Traditional medicine. 'Meridian-muscle(經筋)' can be defined as the longitudinal muscle and fascia system, which is the basis of whole body encompassing dynamics.

This study examines the cultural meanings of underclothes advertisements through the analysis of advertisement messages appeared in women's magazines of Korea which are , and published between 1965 and 1999 mainly targeting the women at the age of 20s through 40s. The method of study is mainly qualitative with subsidiary citations from the results of content analysis. The advertisement messages identified in underclothes advertisements are 1) body care, 2) gender role, 3) commercialization of eroticism, 4) feminism, 5) men's social status and masculinity, 6) social issues of concern and ideologies of the time. Advertisements produce a new meaning through a dynamic mixture of the advertisement's visual and verbal factors. Such a new meaning then can become a part of culture and therefore we can obtain insights of a society culture by analyzing the advertisement messages of underclothes advertisements. Advertisements bring definite changes to the culture through long-term and implicit influences on the constituents of the culture.
