  • This study investigates interior and exterior environments and arrangement forms of school buildings from elementary to high school which were recently built in Daegu since the 7th Educational Curriculum. In addition, this study analyses how outside noise affects inside environment of schools. This study found that the noise level criteria of school facilities(such as exterior learning sites and outer walls of school buildings) adjacent to street of one side satisfiedly corresponded to the level and criteria, 65dB(A), of school health law. However, the noise level and vibration criteria of school facilities adjacent to street of two sides did not satisfiedly corresponded to the level or criteria, 65dB(A). In case of classrooms, the inner noise of educational facilities with windows closed and also close to both the street of one side and of two sides satisfiedly corresponded to the level or criteria. 55dB(A), of school health law. In spring and tall, the windows are more open them usual for ventilation, and leaving windows open can lead to noise from outside. Thus, it is urgent to prepare for this situation.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop safety education program to prevent child accident and to improve the health of children by providing a safe environment. This program provide parents and children with information on how to prevent children from accident. Children especially can learn specific methods to avoid accident both at home, school and outside the home through safety education, which is based on problem solving. Method: This program was developed based on literature reviews, surveys and negotiation process. School aged children, parents, and teachers were interviewed to identify their educational needs based on their experiences related to child accident. During the 7th Annual Conference of Educational Courses in 1999, the Korean Educational Ministry examined the feasibility and compatibility of integrating the program into the current educational curriculum. Result: This program includes useful subjects such as safety education, preventive strategies, crisis management, guide for parent and teacher, resource persons, internet site and phone numbers of available hospital. Counseling is provided by researcher if needed. Conclusion: This program could be adequately utilized for prevention of child accident and creation of preventive strategies. It will also suggest an intervention strategy for injured children.

In the textbooks, the subjects of the cultural diversity education are mainly based on the curriculum standards, the education area of the 7th grade is the 'human community life', the education area of the 8th grade is the origin and development of the Chinese civilization, Suggesting the scope of the theme 'harmonious coexistence with the world'. In order to analyze cultural diversity education in response to the demands of the times, we analyzed three factors such as diversity, identity, and interrelationship.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to educate the core contents of various major fields in practical and convergent ways in universities in order to prepare for the 4th industrial revolution era. First, convergence field is established in the university curriculum in addition to the existing major and the liberal arts field. Second, convergence courses are created in connection with job ability, which are major curriculum but only for students in other departments. Third, convergence courses are organized in the form of module curriculum, which is a small-sized and independent curriculum consisting of 4 courses. D University, one of the local private universities in Korea, has provided such convergence module education since 2016, and satisfactory results have been obtained in the course enrollment rate and the course evaluation, etc. By combining these convergence modules in various ways, it is possible to easily create customized majors required and designed by local companies at low cost.

  • Fossil photographs in science and earth science textbooks on the 7th curriculum including those of elementary, middle and high school, are analyzed to estimate the adequacy and scientific significance focusing on the locality and scale. The results show that most of the textbooks have included various types of fossil photographs: 32 in elementary textbooks, 50 in middle school and 109 in high school. However, the presentation of scientific information on each photographs is insufficient. Only $68\%$ of the elementary textbooks designates locality and only $6\%$ includes scales. Among middle and high school textbooks, 40 and $16\%$ of photographs describe locality, and 14 and $18\%$ of photographs exhibit scale, respectively. More scientific and appropriate presentation of fossil photographs, such as locality and scale, is needed to enhance educational effect.

The 7th curriculum induces that teaching hours should be assigned to education using ICT more than 10% of all classroom work hours. In this study, we established basic course of courseware design for applying ICT to physical education effectively in the 7th curriculum. We developed distance-learning program for motion of short-distance race and the entire his power race in middle school using Web. Flash and Database. And we evaluated efficiency by students that are 4 classrooms (140 persons) after teaching using the WBI. According to results of questions and a test, the students expressed that education using ICT make understanding of instruction substance effectively. concentrating their attention on teaching and concerning in teaching actively.

Also this study established instructional method. activities and material application Per 7th Practical Arts Education Course guidance domain. and type identification of the instructional method and activities unique to the Practical arts curriculum. Conclusions : 1. Teachers consider the instructional method and material beneficial. However in the item relevant to application of diverse instructional methods Per specific teaching objective and educational content in the actual classroom. the highest percentage responding. ‘relatively yes’ (39.7%) . balanced out with those answering. ‘no’(37.7%) 2. In linking the instructional method and material to secondary school home economics education, teachers experienced difficulty in teaching only the clothing education domain . 3. In each guidance domain, lecture method, problem-solving learning. cooperative learning. home project learning and functional learning were surveyed for instructional method suitability. Notably, home project learning was identified as a significant instructional method. This result begs in-dept analysis as home project learning may be utilized as a tool to compensate for the absence of practical educational objective condition fulfillment and to substitute for teachers unable to Provide such functional guidance in class. 4. In each guidance domain. role-playing. debate/discussion. case study research, practical exercise and activity reporting were rated as essential teaching ㆍ learning activities. 5. • As the 7th mathematics curriculum reform in Korea was implemented with its goal based on Freudenthal's perspectives on mathematization theory, the research on the effect of mathematization has been become more significant. The purpose of this thesis is not only to find whether this foreign theory would be also applied effectively into our educational practice in Korea, but also to investigate how much important role teachers should play in their teaching students, in order that students accomplish the process of mathematization more effectively. Two case studies were carried out with two groups of middle-school students using qualitative-research method with the research instrument designed by the researcher. It was found that we could get the possibility of being able to apply effectively this theory even to our educational practice since the students engaged in their mathematization using the horizontal mathematization and the vertical mathematization in geometry. Also, it was mentioned that teachers' role was so important in guiding students' processes of mathematization, although mathematization is the teaching-learning theory, stimulating students' activities. Since the Freudenthal's mathematization applied in the thesis is so meaningful in our educational practice, we need more various research about this theory that helps students develope their mathematical thinking.
