광 강도변화를 이용한 가공면 영상의 텍스쳐 특징분석 (Texture Feature Analysis of Machined Surface Image Using Intensity Gradient)

  • Super precision working technique and machine tool have been continually developed thanks to advanced electronic field. To obtain good result. it is necessary to investigate surface in grinding with $mu extrm{m}$ level. There were quite many researches to satisfy these demands by using non-contact methods through the computer vision. In this study, the texture of working surface was analyzed. co-occurrence matrices was obtained from the surface roughness. Texture parameter was obtained using position operator composed of $ heta$, d according to variation of angle direction and distance. As a result, it was found that surface texture was more affected by direction($\theta$) than distance(d).

  • 본 논문에서는 저품질 이미지에 적용된 미디언 필터링를 검출하는 기법을 제안하고자 한다. 이러한 미디언 필터링검출은 이미지 포렌식 기법에 사용되고 있는 것으로 제안된 방법에서는 원본 이미지와 미디언 필터링된 이미지를 구분하기 위하여 공간 영역에서 통계적 특징 정보를 추출하고 확장시킨다. 확장된 특징 정보는 마르코프 모델을 사용하고 강인한 특징 집합을 생성하기 위하여 다중 방향 배열을 사용한다. 제안된 방법에서는 검출 정확도를 높이기 위하여 텍스처 연산자를 사용하고 SVM 분류기를 통하여 분류 모델을 훈련시킨다. 실험 결과에서는 JPEG 압축을 사용한 저품질 이미지에서 제안한 방법의 우수함을 보인다.

  • In this paper, real-time polygon generation algorithm of 3D point cloud data and texture mapping for tele-operation is proposed. In a tele-operation, it is essential to provide more highly realistic visual information to a tele-operator. By using 3D point cloud data, the tele-operator can observe the working environment from various view point with a reconstructed 3D environment. However, there are huge empty space in 3D point cloud data, since there is no environmental information among the points. This empty space is not suitable for an environmental information. Therefore, real-time polygon generation algorithm of 3D point cloud data and texture mapping is presented to provide more highly realistic visual information to the tele-operator. The 3D environment reconstructed from the 3D point cloud data with texture mapped polygons is the crucial part of the tele-operation.

  • 이 논문에서는 각기 다른 스케일에서 각각의 구조를 띤 텍스처를 합성하는 기법을 제안한다. 우리의 기법은 GPU로 실시간으로 수행되는 병렬 텍스처 합성 기법에 기반을 두었다. 새로 도입된 좌표 변환 연산자를 이용하면 이미 합성된 좌표 맵을 다른 스케일의 입력 텍스처로의 좌표 공간으로 변환할 수 있다. 이 연산자는 작은 룩업 테이블로 미리 연산될 수 있기 때문에 본 기법을 도입함으로써 생기는 오버헤드는 매우 적다. 우리의 업샘플 기법은 텍스처가 두드러전 이미지의 해상도를 높일 때 특히 유용하다. 그리고, 우리의 기법을 이용하여 저해상도 컨트롤 이미지를 이용한 텍스처 디자인도 가능하다. 이 디자인 툴은 지형을 특정한 스타일로 디자인하는 데에 유용하며 일반적인 높낮이 조절 브러시를 이용할 수 있으므로 직관적이다.

Human sensory feedback research in the armstrong laboratory

  • The Human Sensory Feedback Laboratory, park of the Armstrong Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is involved in the development and evaluation of systems that provide sensory feedback to the human operator in telerobotic and virtual environment applications. Specific projects underway in the laboratory are primarily concerned with the information provided by force and vibrotactile feedback to the operator in dextrous manipulation tasks. Four specific research projects are described in the present report. These include : 1) experiments evaluating a 30-element fingertip display, which employs a titanium-nickel shape memory alloy actuator design to provide vibrotactile feedback about object shape and surface texture ; 2) of a fingertip force-feedback display for 3-dimensional information about object shape and suface texture ; 3) use of a force- feedback joystic to provide "force tunnel" information in pilot pursuit tracking tasks ; and 4) evaluations of a 7 degree-of-freedom exoskeleton used to control a robotic arm. Both basic and applied research questions are discussed.

신경회로망을 이용한 가공면 영상의 거칠기 분류 (The Classification of Roughness fir Machined Surface Image using Neural Network)

  • Surface roughness is one of the most important parameters to estimate quality of products. As this reason so many studies were car-ried out through various attempts that were contact or non-contact using computer vision. Even through these efforts there were few good results in this research., however texture analysis making a important role to solve these problems in various fields including universe aviation living thing and fibers. In this study feature value of co-occurrence matrix was calculated by statistic method and roughness value of worked surface was classified, of it. Experiment was carried out using input vector of neural network with characteristic value of texture calculated from worked surface image. It's found that recognition rate of 74% was obtained when adapting texture features. In order to enhance recogni-tion rate combination type in characteristics value of texture was changed into input vector. As a result high recognition rate of 92.6% was obtained through these processes.

  • The seniconductor, which is precision product, requires many inspection processes. The surface conditions of the semiconductor chip effect on the functions of the semiconductors. The defects of the chip surface is crack or void. Because general inspection method requires many inspection processes, the inspection system which searches immediately and preciselythe defects of the semiconductor chip surface. We propose the inspection method by using the computer vision system. This study presents an image processing algorithm for inspecting the surface defects(crack, void)of the semiconductor test samples. The proposed image processing algorithm aims to reduce inspection time, and to analyze those experienced operator. This paper regards the chip surface as random texture, and deals with the image modeling of randon texture image for searching the surface defects. For texture modeling, we consider the relation of a pixel and neighborhood pixels as noncasul model and extract the statistical characteristics from the radom texture field by using the 2D AR model(Aut oregressive). This paper regards on image as the output of linear system, and considers the fidelity or intelligibility criteria for measuring the quality of an image or the performance of the processing techinque. This study utilizes the variance of prediction error which is computed by substituting the gary level of pixel of another texture field into the two dimensional AR(autoregressive model)model fitted to the texture field, estimate the parameter us-ing the PAA(parameter adaptation algorithm) and design the defect detection filter. Later, we next try to study the defect detection search algorithm.

Van der Waerden의 통계량을 이용한 영상에서의 효율적인 에지검출기법 (An Efficient Edge Detection Using Van der Waerden′s Statistic in Images)

  • The edges of an image hold much of the information in that image. The edges tell where objects are, their shape and size, and something about their texture. An edge is where the intensity of an image moves from a low value to a high value. We introduce the edge detection using the differential operator with Sobel operator and describe a nonparametric Wilcoxon test based on statistical hypothesis testing for the detection of edges. This paper proposes an efficient edge detection using Van der Waerden's statistic in original and noisy images. We use the threshold determined by specifying significance level a and an edge-height parameter. Comparison with our statistical test and Sobel operator shows that Van der Waerden method perform more effectively in both noisy and noise-free images.
