  • The use of social media is already essential as a source of information for listening user's various opinions and monitoring. We define social 'risks' that issues effect negative influences for public opinion in social media. This paper aims to discriminate various linguistic features and reveal their effects for building an automatic classification model of social risks. Expecially we adopt a word embedding technique for representation of linguistic clues in risk sentences. As a preliminary experiment to analyze characteristics of individual features, we revise errors in automatic linguistic analysis. At the result, the most important feature is NE (Named Entity) information and the best condition is when combine basic linguistic features. word embedding, and word clusters within core predicates. Experimental results under the real situation in social bigdata - including linguistic analysis errors - show 92.08% and 85.84% in precision respectively for frequent risk categories set and full test set.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm to extract the E-mail address in calling card images. Firstly, text regions are separated from background. in the image. To do this, the properties of e-mail addresses and the texture features in the image is used. And then, each text region is explored to find the candidates of e-mail region. Finally, each candidate is divided into characters to find at-symbol(@), that is, e-mail region. The experimental results show hit-ratio over 93.3% for the various kind of calling cards containing different fonts, background images, caricatures.

  • Paik Nam-June is known as a Video Artist. Video is a presentation tool with the feature of recordability. However, it is not only a video which has been applied as an art presentation tool by him. Nevertheless, the existing researches fail to notice the aesthetic concept which is shown as the rest contents or forms, as they focus on the media features of Paik Nam-June's video. Therefore, this article aims at contemplating the art world of Paik Nam-June with its contents as 'visualization of music' and its form as 'hypermediacy' Therefore, 1. Sound is shown as the visualization of music, with the direct influence of absolute hollowness and noise of John Cage, originated from Zen Buddhism, while the foundation of it is known to be from the liberation of dissonance of Arnold Schoenberg and creative impromptu of shamanic sound. 2. The from of TVs influence of the orchestra, originated from Culture of a dining table in Korean. and indicated hypermediacy 3. Paik Nam-June indicated 'Text-interpretation' us to text analytics of 'how to read', rather than the question of 'what to tell' by intermedia as the visualization of music & hypermediacy.

  • Voice is the most common means for communication, but some people have difficulties in generating voice due to their congenital or acquired disorders. Individuals with speech disorders might lose their speaking ability due to hearing impairment, encephalopathy or cerebral palsy accompanied by motor skill impairments, or autism caused by mental problems. However, they have needs for communication, so some of them use various types of AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) devices in order to meet their communication needs. In this paper, a mobile application for literate people having speech disorder was designed and implemented by developing accurate and fast sentence-completion functions for efficient user interaction. From a user study and the previous study on Korean text-based communication for adults having difficulty in speech communication, we identified functionality and usability requirements. Specifically, the user interface with scanning features was designed by considering the users' motor skills in using the touch-screen of a mobile device. Finally, we conducted the usability test for the application. The results of the usability test show that the application is easy to learn and efficient to use in communication with people with speech disorders.

  • This paper presents automated music story video generation technique as one of entertainment features that is equipped in multimedia system of the vehicle. The automated music story video generation is a system that automatically creates stories to accompany musics with photos stored in user's mobile phone by connecting user's mobile phone with multimedia systems in vehicles. Users watch the generated music story video at the same time. while they hear the music according to mood. The performance of the automated music story video generation is measured by accuracies of music classification, photo classification, and text-keyword extraction, and results of user's MOS-test.

  • On the text of Yukgyeong(六經) in "Sanghanpyeon(傷寒篇) in Uihakyimmun(醫學入門)", we got some conclusion like below, and the study was mainly referred to "Hwangjenaegyoungju(黃帝內經注)" written by Wangbing(王氷), "Juhaesanghanron(注解傷寒論)", "Sanghanrye(傷寒例)" by Seongmugi(成無己), "Namyanghwalinseo(南陽活人書)", "Sanghanbaekmun(傷寒百問)" by Jugoeng(朱肱), "Sanghanbaekjeungga(傷寒百證歌)" by Heosukmi(許叔微), and "Injejikji(仁齊直指)" by Yangsayeong(楊士瀛). 'Gyeong(經)' quoted in "Sanghanpyeon(傷寒篇) in Uihakyimmun(醫學入門)" meant not only quoted from "Naegyoung(內經)", but "Sanghanron(傷寒論)" by Jangjunggyeong(張仲景). All the symptoms of Yukgyeong(六經) was sorted on the basis of "Juhaesanghanron(注解傷寒論)", and we can find the symptoms of Soyang(少陽) in the editing of Taeyangbyoung(太陽病), also symptoms of Taeeum(太陰) in Yangmyeongbyoung(陽明病). On the changing order of Yukgyeong(六經), "Jeungjuryujeunghwalinseo(增注類證活人書)" explained it through conflict of five stage, but "Uihakimmun(醫學入門)" interpreted it with proper and inverse condition of main stream of Yukgi(六氣).

  • In this paper, the web-based speaker verification system is designed. To decide the speaker recognition algorithm applied to the web-based speaker verification system, the recognition performance and special features of the text-dependent speaker recognition algorithms(DTW, DHMM, SCHMM) are compared through the computer simulation. Using the results of computer simulation, select DHMM as speaker recognition algorithm at web-based speaker verification system because DHMM has the proper recognition performance and initial training utterance number. And by the three-tier method using the ActiveX, DCOM techniques web-based speaker verification system is designed to be operated in the distributed processing environment.

  • While artists and architects both recognize the importance of well-designed exhibition spaces, they have rarely shared, through direct and open communication, their thoughts on what constitutes an ideal architectural context for art. Remy Zaugg's text offers a rare and valuable insight on artists' conception of an ideal space for art, and his words and diagrams have directly influenced some of the successful architectural projects for art in the recent past. By analyzing the original content of Zaugg's writings, and highlighting Zaugg's key design elements from three sample projects, all of which mention Zaugg's text as a direct reference, we can compile a list of core design elements for constructing an ideal space for art. Three museums closely incorporated all but two of Zaugg's seven core planning elements, and the remaining two recommendations on the luminous ceiling and gallery distribuition were more subjectively interpreted. These deviant components in turn become unique features to each project, suggesting proper areas of intervention for architects as authors.

  • The importance of WWW search services is increasing as Internet information resources explode. An evaluation of current 9 search services was first conducted by comparing descriptively the features concerning indexing, searching, and ranking of search results. Secondly, a couple of search queries were used to evaluate search performance of those services by the measures of retrieval effectiveness. the degree of overlap in searching sites, and the degree of similarity between services. In this experiment, Alta Vista, HotBot and Open Text Index showed better results for the retrieval effectiveness. The level of similarity among the 9 search services was extremely low.

  • Recently corpus linguistic analyses enable researchers to examine meanings and structural features of data, that is not detected intuitively. While the potential of corpus linguistic techniques has been established and demonstrated for non-literary data, corpus stylistic analyses have been rarely performed in terms of the analysis of literature. Specifically this paper explores keywords and their role in text analysis, which is primary part of corpus linguistic analyses. This paper focuses on the application of techniques from corpus linguistics and the interpretation of results. This paper addresses the question of what is to be gained from keyword analysis by scrutinizing keywords in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
