  • In this paper we propose efficient design and implementation of JPEG image display board that can display JPEG image on TV. we used NAND Flash Memory to save the compressed JPEG bit stream and video encoder to display the decoded JPEG mage on TV. Also we convert YCbCr to RGB to super impose character on JPEG image. The designed B/D is implemented using FPGA.

  • In this paper, we describes a cryptography, which is a useful method for data security in computer network and file protection on multi-user operating system, This system manages the keys of conventional cryptography with public key cryptography. As a result, we can obtain high speed encryption, easy manipulation in key management and signatured text by new authentication.

  • In the past, the mutual saving finance service was managed by the Packages which consisted of the softwares managing data under the text mode environment. The data was mostly managed at only one place. So it becomes very important things that we efficiently deal various services and systematically support public-relation activities and efficient managements of a security mortgage. Therefor. we develope the system which efficiently manages customer service and management of a security mortgage by using GIS under the Client/server environment.

  • 정보기술과 디지털 경제의 확산으로 대규모의 데이터가 생산되는 정보화시대에서 빅데이터의 중요성이 강조되고 있으며 다양한 분야에서 이를 응용하고 있다. 빅 데이터 분석 도구인 R은 통계 기반의 정보 분석을 가능하게 하는 언어와 환경이다. 본 논문에서는 R을 이용하여 미디어에 나타난 부산 교통 관련 빅데이터를 분석한다. 다양한 미디어에서 부산 교통 관련 데이터를 수집하고 어떠한 텍스트가 분포되어 있는지 빈도 조사를 수행한다.

  • This research was conducted to identify adolescent problems in internet articles. This research defines adolescent problems as diverse issues related to adolescents and examine how it was dealt in the media to find out how different categories and the aspect of adolescent problems are changing by time. The result of the research was that in 1990's, education policy and family were mainly dealt with when it came to adolescent problems. As the era is changing, adolescent problems were far diversified compared to the past, and each problems are dealt with similar importance. This research is significant in that it does not only examine the social trend adolescent problems but also expand the range of adolescent counselling and utilizes quantitative analysis in considering diversity to provide new information.

  • In this paper, the fire engine pump is controlled and monitored by the AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and Xml) in the web server. The embedded system with built-in system having a processor and a memory of high performance occurs many problems in transmitting the large amount of data in real time through the web server. The AJAX is different from HTML (Hyper Text Makeup Language) with java script technology and can make RIA (Rich Internet Application). It process the necessary data by using asynchronous and it take advantage of usefulness, accessibility, a fast response time. Using AJAX can build up web server with real time and monitoring that fire engine pump status, check processing pump memory in the event of fire, also remotely monitors can do. The web server system can control the fire engine pump as like the black box. The experimental results show the effectiveness and commercialize possibility.

Algorithm for Concatenating Multiple Phonemic Units for Small Size Korean TTS Using RE-PSOLA Method

  • In this paper an algorithm to reduce the size of Text-to-Speech database is proposed. The algorithm is based on the characteristics of Korean phonemic units. From the initial database, a reduced phoneme unit set is induced by articulatory similarity of concatenating phonemes. Speech data is read by one female announcer for 1000 phonetically balanced sentences. All the recorded speech is then segmented by phoneticians. Total size of the original speech data is about 640 MB including laryngograph signal. To synthesize wave, RE-PSOLA (Residual-Excited Pitch Synchronous Overlap and Add Method) was used. The voice quality of synthesized speech was compared with original speech in terms of spectrographic informations and objective tests. The quality of the synthesized speech is not much degraded when the size of synthesis DB was reduced from 320 MB to 82 MB.

Automated Text Categorization using high quality Bigrams (효율적인 바이그램을 이용한 자동문서 범주화)

  • 본 연구는 바이그램을 이용하여 자동문서범주화 성능을 향상시키는 알고리즘의 개발을 목표로 한다. 기존의 문서 범주화 알고리즘의 장단점을 비교하여 개선된 바이그램 추출 알고리즘을 구현하고, 이 알고리즘을 실험한 결과 Reuters-21579 data set은 개별 단어를 사용하여 시험한 결과보다 단어+바이그램을 사용하였을 경우 BEP은 2.07%, F1은 1.40% 향상률을 보였고, Korea-web data set은 BEP의 8.12%, F1의 6.25% 향상을 보였다. 이와 같은 실험결과는 단어를 사용한 경우보다 단어+바이그램을 사용한 자동문서 범주화 시스템이 더 효율적이라는 것을 보여준다.

  • Electronic Ink is a stored data in the form of the handwritten text or the script without converting it into ASCII by handwritten recognition on the pen-based computers and Personal Digital Assistants(PDA) for supporting natural and convenient data input. One of the most important issue is to search the electronic ink in order to use it. We proposed and implemented a script matching algorithm for the electronic ink. Proposed matching algorithm separated the input stroke into a set of primitive stroke using the curvature of the stroke curve. After determining the type of separated strokes, it produced a stroke feature vector. And then it calculated the distance between the stroke feature vector of input strokes and one of strokes in the database using the dynamic programming technique.

  • Bioinformatics is a rapidly emerging field of biomedical research. A flood of large-scale genomic and postgenomic data means that many of the challenges in biomedical research are now challenges in computational sciences. Clinical informatics has long developed methodologies to improve biomedical research and clinical care by integrating experimental and clinical information systems. The informatics revolutions both in bioinformatics and clinical informatics will eventually change the current practice of medicine, including diagnostics, therapeutics, and prognostics. Postgenome informatics, powered by high throughput technologies and genomic-scale databases, is likely to transform our biomedical understanding forever much the same way that biochemistry did a generation ago. The paper describes how these technologies will impact biomedical research and clinical care, emphasizing recent advances in biochip-based functional genomics and proteomics. Basic data preprocessing with normalization, primary pattern analysis, and machine learning algorithms will be presented. Use of integrated biochip informatics technologies, text mining of factual and literature databases, and integrated management of biomolecular databases will be discussed. Each step will be given with real examples in the context of clinical relevance. Issues of linking molecular genotype and clinical phenotype information will be discussed.
