  • Purpose This study aims to propose an automated test report management method using Claydox and ChatGPT to achieve digital transformation and carbon neutrality in the testing and certification industry. Focusing on the water quality sector, this study also explores the potential applicability of the proposed method to other environmental fields. Design/methodology/approach The test report processing was digitized using Claydox and ChatGPT. The process consists of three stages: 1) automated data entry from the photographic recording of raw data, 2) test report creation, and 3) automated report analysis. Additionally, the study demonstrated the potential for real-time data analysis using no-code platforms. Findings The study found that the test report processing using Claydox significantly improved efficiency. It maintained data consistency, greatly enhanced work efficiency, and reduced time and costs. The use of electronic documents contributed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, resulting in positive environmental impacts. Furthermore, legal compliance and post-management preparedness were strengthened, providing reliable evidence in case of legal disputes.

  • BACnet is an international standard communication protocol especially designed for building automation and control systems. BACnet uses the Master-Slave/Token-Passing (MS/TP) protocol as one of its field-level networks. A BACnet MS/TP field controller prototype and MS/TP network monitoring system are developed in this study. This report introduces the design and implementation methodology of a BACnet MS/TP field controller hardware, firmware and protocol stack. This report also presents the implementation methodology of BACnet MS/TP network monitoring system using VTS (Visual Test Shell). The methodologies introduced in this report will facilitate the develop and implementation of the BACnet-based control systems in building automation area.

  • Various artifacts that are produced as software R&D project progresses contain research plan, research report, software requirements and design descriptions, etc. When conducting a software R&D project, it is necessary to confirm that the developed system has implemented its research requirements well. However, various research results make it difficult to design appropriate tests. So, there is a practical need for us to comprehensively handle the planning, execution, and reporting of software test for finding and verifying information related to the research. In this paper, we propose a useful method for software test process in R&D project which supports model based software testing. The proposed method supports automation of test design and generation of test data by explicitly separating each step of System Under Test (SUT). The method utilizes the various models representing the control flow of the function to extract the information necessary for testing the system. And it supports a systematic testing process based on TMMi and ISO 29119. Finally, we show the validity of the method by implementing a prototype with basic functionality to generate test data from software behavioral models.

  • In this paper we study on a method to predict and to demonstrate the reliability of the Korea high speed train control system in quantitative point of view. For the prediction of the reliability in train control system which is composed of electronic parts, Relax Software 7.7 automation tool is employed and MIL-HDBK-217 Handbook that is a standard for the prediction of the failure rate in electronic components is used. Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) is predicted based on the failure rate of the subsystems, State Modeling and Markov Modeling method is used to express a reliability function of the train control system composed by hardware redundancy as a function of time. We propose a Reliability Test which is performed on the level of the subsystems and Failure Report, Analysing, Correction action system which use the test operation data to prove the predicted reliability.
