The tilt-rotor Smart UAV(Unmanned Air Vehicle) has been developed by KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) for civil purposes. In order to prove the reliabilities of total system of Smart UAV, the series of ground tests were performed including system interface test, aircraft HILS(Hardware In the Loop Simulation) Test, ground power test, 4-DOF (Degrees of Freedom)rig test, and tethered hover test. Many unexpected problems occurred at each ground test. With clearing these problems, the total Smart UAV systems were matured and the airworthiness was proven enough. After complete of additional ground test proposed by FRRB(Flight Readiness Review Board), the first flight test will be performed in this year. This paper presents the procedures and the analysis results of the ground tests for the tilt-rotor Smart UAV.
Flow-accelerated corrosion (FAC), liquid droplet impingement erosion (LDIE), cavitation and flashing can cause continuous wall-thinning in nuclear secondary pipes. In order to prevent pipe rupture events resulting from the wall-thinning, most NPPs (nuclear power plants) implement their management programs, which include periodic thickness inspection using UT (ultrasonic test). Meanwhile, it is well known in field experiences that the thickness measurement errors (or deviations) are often comparable with the amount of thickness reduction. Because of these errors, it is difficult to estimate wall-thinning exactly whether the significant thinning has occurred in the inspected components or not. In the previous study, the authors presented an approximate estimation procedure as the first step for thickness measurement deviations at each inspected component and the statistical & quantitative characteristics of the measurement deviations using plant experience data. In this study, statistical significance was quantified for the current methods used for wall-thinning determination. Also, the authors proposed new estimation procedures for determining local wall-thinning to overcome the weakness of the current methods, in which the proposed procedure is based on analysis of variance (ANOVA) method using subgrouping of measured thinning values at all measurement grids. The new procedures were also quantified for their statistical significance. As the results, it is confirmed that the new methods have better estimation confidence than the methods having used until now.
The last decade of this centry is now the accepted birth date of that sub-discipline of pharmacy that is now called 'biopharmceutics'. Wagner defines biopharmaceutics 'as the study of the influence of fomulation on the therapeutic activity of a drug product.' More specifically, he states that biopharmaceutics encompasses the study of the relationship between the nature and intensity of the biological effects observed in animals or man and the following factors: 1. The nature of the form of the drug (ester, salt, complex, etc). 2. The physical state, particle size, and surface area. 3. Presence or absence of adjuvants with the drug. 4. The type of dosage form in which the drug is administered. 5. The pharmaceutical process (es) used to make the dosage form. The philosophy inherent in this definition has revolutionized our thinking with respect to product development, quality control, and to the practice of pharmacy itself. Althoughthe the emphasis herein will be on quality control, the interrelationship between this and the other areas of pharmacy will be evident. The principles of quality control dictate that a wide variety of techniques be used to evaluate the quality of a dosage form. Since quality must be built into a dosage form, the pharmaceutical scientist begins the process at the research stage, continues it during the production stage, and ends it by applying the tests and procedures established by parmacopeial commissions. These stages are usually separate and distinct and, because of this, product quality has become synonymous with compliance with pharmacopeial specifications.
The iodine containing radiopharmaceuticals, Hippuran, L-Thyroxine, Triiodothyronine, Rose Bengal, RISA, MAA, Triolein, Oleic acid and sterilized iodide solution were prepared. The labelling yield was av. 100-70%. The exchange method, iodination method, and chloramine-T procedure for a low temperature iodination were adopted as the preparative procedures. The preparative procedures and pyrogen free test of products were described and the distribution activity of the products in this institute was reported.
Purpose - This study provides appropriate procedures for EFA to help researchers conduct empirical studies by using PLS-SEM. Research design, data, and methodology - This study addresses the absolute and relative sample size criteria, sampling adequacy, factor extraction models, factor rotation methods, the criterion for the number of factors to retain, interpretation of results, and reporting information. Results - The factor analysis procedure for PLS-SEM consists of the following five stages. First, it is important to look at whether both the Bartlett test of sphericity and the KMO MSA meet the qualitative criteria. Second, PAF is a better choice of methodology. Third, an oblique technique is a suitable method for PLS-SEM. Fourth, a combined approach is strongly recommended to factor retention. PA should be used at the onset. Next, it is recommended using the K1 criterion. In addition, it is necessary to extract factors that increase the total variance explanatory power through the PVA-FS. Finally, it is appropriate to select an item with a factor loading into 0.5 or higher and a communality of 0.5. Conclusions - It is expected that the accurate factor analysis processed for PLS-SEM as previously presented will help us extract more precise factors of the structural model.
The properties of composite materials, when compared to those of metallic materials, are highly variable due to many factors including the batch-to-batch variability of raw materials, the prepreg manufacturing process, material handling, part-fabrication techniques, ply-stacking sequences, environmental conditions, and test procedures. It is therefore necessary to apply reliable statistical-analysis techniques to obtain the design allowables of composite materials. A new composite-material qualification process has been developed by the Advanced General Aviation Transport Experiments (AGATE) consortium to yield the lamina-design allowables of composite materials according to standardized coupon-level tests and statistical techniques; moreover, the generated allowables database can be shared among multiple users without a repeating of the full qualification procedure by each user. In 2005, NASA established the National Center for Advanced Materials Performance (NCAMP) with the purpose of refining and enhancing the AGATE process to a self-sustaining level to serve the entire aerospace industry. In this paper, the statistical techniques and procedures for the generation of the allowables of aerospace composite materials will be discussed with a focus on the pooling-across-environments method.

Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) is an active microwave instrument that performs high-resolution observation under almost all weather conditions. Although there are many advantages of SAR instrument, many complicated steps are involved in order to generate SAR image products. Many research and algorithms have been proposed to process radar signal and to increase the quality of SAR products. However, it is hard to find research which compare the quality of SAR products generated with different algorithms and processing methods. In our previous research, a SAR processing s/w was developed for a ground station. In addition, quality assessment procedures and their test parameters inside a SAR processor was proposed. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the quality of SAR images generated from the developed SAR processing s/w. However, If there are no direct measurements such as radar reflector or scattering field measurement values it is difficult to compare SAR images generated with different methods. An alternative procedures and parameters for SAR image quality evaluation are presented and the problems involved in the comparison methods are discussed. Experiments based on real data have been conducted to evaluate and analyze quality of SAR images.
Group Technology (GT) is a technique for identifying and bringing together related or similar components in a production process in order to take advantage of their similarities by making use of, for example, the inherent economies of flow production methods. The process of identification, from large variety and total of components, of the part families requiring similar manufacturing operations and forming the associated groups of machines is referred as 'machine-component grouping'. First part of this paper is devoted to describing a hierarchical divisive algorithm based on graph theory to find the natural part families. The objective is to form components into part families such that the degree of inter-relations is high among components within the same part family and low between components of different part families. Second part of this paper focuses on establishing cell design procedures. The aim is to create cells in which the most expensive and important machines-called key machine - have a reasonably high utilization and the machines should be allocated to minimize the intercell movement of machine loads. To fulfil the above objectives, 0-1 integer programming model is developed and the solution procedures are found. Next an attempt is made to test the feasibility of the proposed method. Several different problems appearing in the literature are chosen and the results air briefly showed.

In this paper, we developed the micro NCT system for punching the thin plates, which is driven is driven by the standalone type microprocessor. In order to adjust the alignment between the punch and die in-situ punching procedures, the non-contact type laser sensor for measuring the burr and micro-driving system for punching die with using the differential screw are developed. The height of burr in four directions in the punched hole of test specimen are measured, and the measured data are transferred to the personal computer by RS232C serial communication technology. In the personal computer, by using the graphic user interface type monitoring program and data handling procedures which includes the filtering algorithms, the direction and length of movement of the die position is decided and these data are transferred back to the microprocessor. The microprocessor drives the micro positioning stage based on these data. Even if this method is not a perfect solution for the in-situ alignment in micro punching, but this alignment methodology is accomplished in the same stage just after the punching that we hope to solve the alignment problem in the punching system based on this technology.
Freiberg's disease is a osteochondrosis of a metatarsal head that is recognized as primarily a disorder of the second metatarsal. It is seen more often in girls. Pain and limitation of motion of the affected joint is the predominant clincal feature. The radiographic appearance demonstrates from osteosclerosis in the early stage to osteolysis with collapse in the later stage. Conservative therapy may take the form of rest, a stiff shoe, and even a cast support to decrease the stress across the joint. Surgical intervention may also be of benefit. Surgery have been attempted either to modify the diseae process or to salvage the situation once the metatarsophalangeal joint develops degenerative changes. Metatarsophalangeal joint instability is common cause of forefoot pain that can develop in association with a traumatic episode and inflamatory tissue disorders as well as neighboring toe deformities. The second ray is by far the most frequently involved. The diagnosis can be made by clinical observation and physical examination including drawer test. Many surgical procedures have beem recommended when conservative treatment has failed. Procedures described range from soft tissue releases and tendon trasfer to the direct plantar plate repair combined with a Weil osteotomy.
