Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore influencing factors of dysfunctional beliefs and emotion regulation strategy for nurses' problem solving ability. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional design with a sample of 745 nurses from 1 university hospital located in Gyeonggido. The scales were Dysfunctional Beliefs Test (70 items), Emotion Regulation Strategy Questionnaire (25 items) and Social Problem Solving Inventory (52 items). The data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0 employing ANOVA, pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. Results: The mean score for problem solving ability was 11.26 points. Influencing factors for nurses' problem solving ability were identified as 'active regulation style' in emotion regulation strategy and 'negative concept of social self' in dysfunctional beliefs. Conclusion: It is plausible to assume that dysfunctional beliefs which are vulnerability factors in cognitive variables and emotion regulation strategy affect nurses' problem solving ability.
A lot of researches find negative volatility risk premium in options market. We can make a trading profit by exploiting the negative volatility premium. This study proposes negative volatility risk premium hypotheses in the KOSPI 200 stock price index options market and empirically test the proposed hypotheses with intra-day short straddle strategy. This strategy sells both at-the-money call option and at-the-money put option at market open and exits the position at market close. Using MySQL 5.1, we create our database with 1 minute option price data of the KOSPI 200 index options from 2004 to 2009. Empirical results show that negative volatility risk premium exists in the KOSPI 200 stock price index options market. Furthermore, intra-day short straddle strategy consistently produces annual profits except one year.
The purpose of this study were to investigate : 1) Differences of perceived time pressure according to the employment status of housewife. 2) The differences of housework strategy according to the employment status of housewife. 3) The relation between perceived time pressure and housework performance strategy. The subject of this study were 375 women living in Seoul, the age of youngest child is at least school age. They were composed of non employed housewives, employed professional housewives and employed non professional housewives. Survery methods were questionare and interview. Data analysis strategy were percentile, frequency, one-way ANOVA, scheffe test and MCA. The major findings were : 1) Perceived time pressure and two sub areas, psychological time pressure and time pressure according to the part of housework were significantly different according to the employment status of housewife. The independent influence of employment status of housewives was most po erful in regression analysis. 2) Housework performance strategy was different according to the employment status of housewife. The strategies were divisions of housework amon family members, use of convenience goods, services, appliance, paid help, adjustment of housework performance standard, reduction of leisure and sleep time.
This study investigates the efficacy and coping strategies of Home Economics teachers in secondary schools. Data were collected from 75 Home Economics teachers via a mailed survey and from 282 Home Economics teachers via an online survey. Descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation; in addition, the ANOVA, t-test, multiple linear regression, and correlation results were reported using SPSS statistics 17.0. The results were as follows: First, the average Home Economics teachers efficacy level was 3.82 out of 5-point Likert scale. The efficacy level of learning assistance was the highest. The composite efficacy of Home Economics teachers showed a significant difference depending on the major. Second, the averages of the positive and negative coping strategy level of Home Economics teachers were 3.54 and 2.03, respectively. Third, the efficacy of instructional strategy out of the five components of efficacy was the most influential to the positive coping strategy. There was no significant relationship between teacher efficacy and the negative strategy.
In a study involving 52 large organizations in the savings institutions industry, the relationship between information systems technology (IST) structure and competitive strategy was investigated based on structural contingency theory. Structural contingency theory argues that organizational performance is contingent on the congruence between structure and contingent factors. Competitive strategy is considered to be the most important contingent factor among organizational context variables. Two dimensions of IST structure and three types of competitive strategy were employed to test a contingency model. It was found that enhanced congruence between IST structure and competitive strategy was associated with higher competitive advantage. The structural dimension significantly associated with the "defender" strategic stance was more centralized and more integrated application of IST, while the structural dimension significantly associated with "prospector" positioning was more decentralized and less integrated application of IST.
We investigate the hedging effectiveness of incorporating single-stock futures into the corresponding stocks. Investing in only stocks frequently causes too much risk when market volatility suddenly rises. We found that single-stock futures help reduce the variance and risk levels of the corresponding stocks invested. We use daily prices of Korean stocks and their corresponding futures for the time period from December 2009 to August 2013 to test the hedging effect. We also use system trading technique that uses automatic trading program which also has several simulation functions. Moving average strategy, Stochastic's strategy, Larry William's %R strategy have been considered for hedging strategy of the futures. Hedging effectiveness of each strategy was analyzed by percent reduction in the variance between the hedged and the unhedged variance. The results clearly showed that examined hedging strategies reduce price volatility risk compared to unhedged portfolio.
In this paper, a new matching strategy for 3-D object recognition, based on the Surface Normal Images (SNIs), is proposed. The matching strategy using the similarity decision function [9,10] lost the efficiency and the reliability of matching, because all features of models within model base must be compared with the scene object features, and the weights of the attributes of features is given by heuristic manner. However, the proposed matching strategy can solve these problems by using a new approach. In the approach, by searching the model base, a model object whose features are fully matched with the features of sceme object is selected. In this paper, the model base is constructed for the total 26 objects, and systhetic and real range images are used in the test of the system operation. Experimental result is performed to show the possibility that this strategy can be effectively used for the SNI based recognition.
This paper develops a coordinated control strategy of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) system based on repetitive control (RC) under generalized harmonic grid voltage conditions. The proposed RC strategy in the rotor side converter (RSC) is capable of ensuring smooth DFIG electromagnetic torque that will enable the possible safe functioning of the mechanical components, such as gear box and bearing. Moreover, the proposed RC strategy in the grid side converter (GSC) aims to achieve sinusoidal overall currents of the DFIG system injected into the network to guarantee satisfactory power quality. The dc-link voltage fluctuation under the proposed control target is theoretically analyzed. Influence of limited converter capacity on the controllable area has also been studied. A laboratory test platform has been constructed, and the experimental results validate the availability of the proposed RC strategy for the DFIG system under generalized harmonic grid voltage conditions.
Purpose: To evaluate the outcomes of a hybrid prophylactic strategy to prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease in pediatric liver transplantation (LT) patients. Methods: CMV DNAemia was regularly monitored by quantitative nucleic acid amplification test (QNAT) and was quantified in all children. CMV infection and disease were defined according to the International Consensus Guidelines. The hybrid strategy against CMV infection consisted of universal 3-week prophylaxis and preemptive treatment of intravenous ganciclovir regardless of the recipient's serostatus. Results: A total of 143 children who underwent living donor LT were managed using the hybrid strategy. The overall incidence of CMV infection by QNAT was 48.3% (n=69/143). The highest CMV DNAemia positivity was observed in 49.2% (n=60/122) of children in the D+/R+ group, followed by 46.7% (n=7/15) in the D+/R- group. CMV disease was noted in 26.1% (n=18/69) patients. Forty-three (62.3%) children had undergone preemptive therapy consisting of intravenous ganciclovir. No symptomatic patients developed tissue-invasive disease, resulting in no CMV-associated mortality. Conclusion: The incidence of CMV infection was high in pediatric LT patients despite the hybrid strategy. However, tissue-invasive disease in pediatric LT did not occur.
The purpose of this study is to further develop the strategies using EBS clipbank service and investigate the their effects of the science academic emotion on the student's attitude toward science. Clipbank is service for educational purpose. EBS provides clipbank that holds about 210,000 video clips made from EBS programs. Two class of 6th grade were selected and instructed. Implementing and using the teaching strategies, a test was administered to examine the science academic emotion of the students effects using clipbank teaching. It had two rounds for inspection about operation of the strategies with curriculum. In the second research, by re-supplying a more sophisticated program strategy from first in putting feedback. The result of analyzing the test was as follows. First, elementary teachers can be used in class to take advantage of a variety of educational materials clipbank contents. Result of teachers survey, clipbank teaching was effective and teachers who using clipbank service will be the continue utilize clipbank. Second, the strategy for using clipbank teaching was effective on student's science academic emotion. And strategy was effective significantly different depending on gender. In conclusion, the strategy for using clipbank teaching, made students feel that learning science was interesting. A lot of reseaches give that science can provide the ideas as a metheod to educational web-sites, educational web-sites can provide creative ideas to science learning strategy, but it is still lacking that research can be applied to education specifically on how to. This study will help elementary teachers adjust teaching to help students learn science with positive emotions.
