Access to relevant information determines the quality of life of an individual in society and the academe. Academic institutions have established information literacy programmes to enhance students' access to information. With the elevation of colleges of education to tertiary status in Ghana, pre-service teachers are now required to conduct research to improve their reflective thinking in order to be certified. However, the information access skills of students in colleges of education in Ghana are uncertain. This study draws empirical evidence from students in the Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education, Wa, Ghana on their information access skills. Primary data were collected from 303 respondents from the college using a stratified sampling procedure. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analysed using descriptive statistics. The results indicate that information is available to students through different sources such as the Internet, libraries, and contact with friends and authorities. However, students were limited in respect to access to relevant online resources for their academic activities due to inadequate information access skills. Potential solutions are discussed.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the factors affecting the chemotherapy medication errors made by new nurses and to use the results as basic data for the development of a chemotherapy medication nursing education program for new nurses. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 189 new nurses working at a general hospital and a tertiary general hospital in Korea. The data collection period was from January 11 to February 7, 2021. The data collected during this study were analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics version 25.0 program. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, and logistic regression analysis. Results: One factor influencing chemotherapy medication errors was new nurses' educational needs (odds ratio=.18, p=.005). As educational needs increased, the probability of making errors in medication was reduced by .18. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a chemotherapy medication education program tailored to the educational needs of new nurses by considering the education period, method, and content, with a focus on the content with high demand from new nurses.
Purpose: This paper reports a study exploring factors related to patient satisfaction and dissatisfaction with inpatient care. Method: A cross-sectional study design was used, employing data from the National Health and Nutrition Survey conducted in 2001. Socio-demographic factors, utilization, self-rated health status, and disease characteristics were assessed by employing univariate comparisons and multivariate logistic regression analyses. Result: Out of 37,769 respondents, 1,043 aged 20 years and over had been admitted to a hospital or clinic at least once during the past year. About a quarter of the respondents were discharged from tertiary hospitals and $21\%$ from clinics. The majority of patients ($58\%$) were satisfied with inpatient care received, whereas $11\%$ were dissatisfied. Greater satisfaction was found in patients aged 45-64 years and those having formal education, discharge from tertiary hospitals, national health insurance as a payer, medical expenses not being burdensome, good self-rated health status, and neoplasm. Living in non-metropolitan urban areas, shorter length of stay, and musculoskeletal diseases were associated with greater dissatisfaction. Conclusion: Different factors were related to patient satisfaction and dissatisfaction with care. Those factors need to be taken into account when evaluating and comparing satisfaction levels between health care institutions.

This paper investigates the patterns of language choice among bilingual Korean students in New Zealand and presents the findings by the individual variables which influence their language behaviour. Respondent variables such as gender, present age, age at migration, region, and duration of residence were adopted as frames of analyses as they were thought to bring us macro-sociolinguistic features of language behaviour in a broad sense. A total of 177 primary to tertiary students from three regions of New Zealand (Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch) were surveyed to find out characteristics of their language choice patterns with diverse interlocutors in a wide range of contexts. It was found that the younger AAM (age at migration) group showed a greater shift towards English. In addition, the longer the respondents had resided in New Zealand the more they used English. The results also revealed that females generally used less English and were more flexible choosing either Korean or English according to the situation. The younger respondents were using more English in some exceptional contexts where tertiary students were ahead of secondary students. Respondents from Wellington, on the whole, shifted towards English more than others from Auckland, and Christchurch. From these findings some implications are suggested for Korean students, teachers, researchers, and the government not only in New Zealand but also in Korea.

Purpose : For improvement of nursing services in ambulatory unit, ambulatory nursing activity was identified and the required time by nursing activity was measured. Method : The data were collected from 4 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals. The method of data collection was used the self-reporting method. The 123 nurse-work days and 137 nurse-aid-work days in 6 hospitals were analyzed. Results : As a result, 11 ambulatory nursing domains and 79 ambulatory nursing activities were confirmed. Above 50% of subjects performed the general outpatient affair domain. The percentage of total time spent in each domain were as follows : general outpatient affair domain, 58.3%, patient education ${\cdot}$ counseling domain, 10.8%, therapeutic care domain, 8.6% and so on. And the average hours were measured by activity and domain. Conclusion : For the improvement of ambulatory nursing care, the strategies that keep the legal standard of number of ambulatory nurse and exchange the nursing-aid for the nurse is needed. And it is also needed to standardize the ambulatory nursing services.
Purpose: This study examined self-efficacy, emotional labor, and health promoting behaviors. It also investigated factors affecting health promoting behaviors of nurses working for tertiary and general hospital. Methods: Between June and July 2013, a convenience sample of 233 subjects was collected from 2 tertiary hospitals and 4 general hospitals. The data analysis was done with ANOVA, t-test and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Emotional labor of the subjects was slightly lower than that of other nurses and the average level of health promoting behaviors was lower than the median. Health promoting behaviors were differentiated by education, hospital type, and monthly income. Self-efficacy showed positive correlation with HPLP-II, but emotional labor showed negative correlation with self-efficacy and HPLP-II. The most significant factor affecting health promoting behaviors was self regulation(16.3%). The combination of self regulation, attentiveness to required display rules, BSN, preference to task difficulty, and monthly income(${\geq}300$) accounted for 25.4% of health promoting behavior. Attentiveness to required display rules was a negative factor of HPLP-II. Conclusion: When developing health promotion programs for nurses, self-efficacy should be considered and further research is needed to identify mediating variables between emotional labor and health promoting behaviors.
The mode of occurrence of petrified woods from the Tertiary strata of Pohang Basin in Kyeongsangbug-do suggests that the petrified woods are all allochthonous fossils. Petrified woods as well as various types of wood fossils such as carbonized woods and charcoal woods were found. However, some lignified organic remains are rarely found in the bark part of petrified woods. X-ray diffraction analysis showed three types of minerals including Opal-CT, Opal-C, and quartz+cristobalite. The presence of these minerals indicates that silicification occurred under the low temperature. The tuffs are considered to be main source of supply of silica. Analysis of the kind of composing minerals and the condition of tissue preservation can predict that silicification is mainly occurred by replacement.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate hospital nurses' delirium screening for postoperative delirium, delirium knowledge, and delirium care using case scenarios at a tertiary hospital in Seoul. Methods: A total of 235 nurses working at surgical units participated in this questionnaire-based study. Five cases scenarios were developed based on diagnosed postoperative delirium cases. Data were collected from April 1 to May 1, 2021. Results: The delirium screening score was 4.20±1.17 out of 5. The delirium knowledge score was 34.35±4.57 out of 47. The delirium care score was 67.61±9.26 out of 92. The correlation between the delirium screening and delirium knowledge was statistically significant (r=.18, p=.005). The correlation between the delirium knowledge and delirium care was statistically significant (r=.25, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings showed that the continuing educations of delirium for hospital nurses and the development of a delirium education programs were important to improve delirium screening and care.
Purpose: The study aim was to investigate factors affecting factors nursing performance. Methods: This descriptive correlation study examined degree of mindfulness, resilience, organizational commitment, and nursing performance in order to confirm the correlation between variables and their effects on nursing performance. Study participants were 193 nurses who had more than 1 year of work experience at a tertiary hospital. The data were collected from March to April 2022 using structured self-reported questionnaires. SPSS/WIN 25.0 program was used to analyze the data. The statistical significance of the mediating effects were verified by applying PROCESS Macro. Results: Resilience, health state, total clinical career years, and organizational commitment were identified as factors affecting nursing performance, with the model explaining 51.6% of outcomes. Resilience had a complete mediating effect on the relationship between mindfulness and nursing performance. Conclusion: To improve nursing performance, various education and training must be developed and implemented to strengthen resilience. Additionally, it will be helpful to apply a mindfulness-based program to improve resilience. Further, designing various measures to improve the work environment and increase organizational commitment is recommended.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify levels of perception and performance of end-oflife care among nurses and to investigate correlations between perception and performance. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive survey included 321 nurses from a tertiary hospital in Seoul, Korea. The participants had at least 6 months of work experience and had been involved in end-of-life care at least once, in either ward or intensive care unit settings. A structured questionnaire was utilized to assess their perception and performance of endof-life care. Results: The mean score for perception of end-of-life care was 3.23±0.34, while the score for performance of end-of-life care was 3.08±0.34. There was a significant positive correlation between nurses' perception of end-of-life care and their performance in this area (r=0.78, P<0.001). Conclusion: It is necessary to change perceptions regarding end-of-life care and to develop systematic and standardized education programs including content such as assessing the hydration status of dying patients, evaluating mental aspects such as suicidal ideation, and providing spiritual care for nurses working in end-of-life departments.
