상온재생공법활용 회수아스팔트 혼합물의 실험적 공용특성 (Laboratory Performance Characteristics of Cold-Mixed Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement(RAP))

  • 본 연구에서는 회수아스팔트 혼합물의 재활용을 위해서 상온재생 아스팔트 혼합물과 재래식 밀입도 13mm 아스팔트 혼합물을 사용하여 아스팔트 혼합물의 실험적 공용특성을 파악하기 위하여 간접인장강도 시험과 피로파괴 시험을 수행하였다. 간접인장강도 시험은 $10^{\circ}C,\;20^{\circ}C$에서 수행되었으며, 피로파괴시험은 500kgf, 400kgf 그리고 300kgf의 반복하중 아래에서 수행되었다. 간접인장강도 시험결과 재생 아스팔트 혼합물은 재래식 아스팔트 혼합물에 대해서 각 온도대별 약 90%의 성능을 보였으며, 피로파괴 시험의 결과에 의하면 재생 밀입도 아스팔트 혼합물은 반복하중 500kgf, 400kgf, 및 300kgf에 대해서 각각 재래식 아스팔트 혼합물의 70%, 55%, 30%의 성능을 보여주었다.

잔류강도 저하모델의 파라미터결정법에 따른 피로수명예측 (The Prediction of Fatigue Life According to the Determination of the Parameter in Residual Strength Degradation Model)

  • The static and fatigue tensile tests have been conduted to predict the fatigue life of 8-harness satin woven and plain woven carbon/epoxy composite plates containing a circular hole. A fatigue residual strength degradation model, based on the assumption that the residual strength for unnotched specimen decreases monotonically, has been applied to predict statistically the fatigue life of materials used in this study. To determine the parameters(c, b and K) of the residual strength degradation model, the minimization technique and the maximum likelihood method are used. Agreement of the converted ultimate strength by using the minimization technique with the static ultimate strength is reasonably good. Therefore, the minimization technique is more adjustable in the determination of the parameter and the prediction of the fatigue life than the maximum likelihood method.

  • The feasibility of the acoustic emission technique in predicting the residual fatigue life of STS304 stainless steel is presented. Acoustic emission was continuously monitored during the fatigue tests. Considerable acoustic emission occurred during the first few cycles. Acoustic Emission increased rapidly at about 90% of the fatigue life, clear and ample warning of impending fatigue failure was observed. Fatigue damage accumulation was evaluated in terms of an AE cumulative counts. The AE cumulative counts may be taken as an indicator of fatigue cumulative damage. Fatigue damages corresponding to 20, 40, 60 and 80% of the total life were induced at a cyclic stress amplitude. The specimens with and without fatigue damage were subjected to tensile tests. In tensile tests, the total cumulative counts were reduced with increasing fatigue damage. It was observed that the residual tensile strength of material did not change significantly with prior cyclic loading damages.

저항점용접과 $CO_2$ 플러그용접의 피로거동 연구 (The comparision of fatigue behavior of $CO_2$ plug weld and resistance spot weld)

  • Vehicle body structures are formed by thousands of spot welds and fatigue failure of vehicle structures occur near the spot welds after driving a long way at a durability test road. It is necessary to know accurately the reason of the fatigue failure of the spot weld in the developing stage in order to reinforce it. Many investigations have been done regarding the strength of spot welded joints, contributing to understand its fatigue strength. In developing process, a fatigue failed spot welded area can be repaired by $CO_2$ welding or another method to continue the test. To know the effect of reinforcing these welds, several methods of welding were analyzed and compared to spot welding. With the results of this test, the appropriate repair method can be used instead of spot welding during the development of new car and best design guide can be given for the strength. In this study, fatigue and static tensile tests are made and microstructure is investigated for the purpose of estimating the strength of welded joints by using spot welded and $CO_2$ plug welded specimens. The tested specimens are of two types : Tensile-shear type(TS) and L-tension type(LT).

  • Welding structures are designed to endure its expected life. The most important factors are life. Especially on welded structure, fatigue strength is critical. So this study performed a research on Box and T shape weldment specimen to examine the influence of welding type. In this experiment, the results indicate Box shape was available in more than T shape. Fatigue tests were performed to evaluate the fatigue strength of the both as-welded and statically pre-loaded specimens by 3 point bending load. Fatigue life can be improved by using Ultrasonic Impact Treatment(UIT) effect. Ultrasonic Impact Treatment(UIT) is excellent for eliminating the tensile residual stresses and generating compressive residual stresses which elevate fatigue strength of welded structures. Also, this shows that welding part has better fatigue life and welding was performed well. In this study, to evaluate the Ultrasonic Impact Treatment(UIT) effect, for welding structure, the experiment was conducted at various levels of stress range between 100MPa and 500MPa. From the test results, it was indicated that fatigue performance was improving by Ultrasonic Impact Treatment(UIT)

오스테나이트계 고망간강에서 인장 특성과 피로거동에 미치는 변형유기상의 영향 (The Effect of Deformation Induced Phase on Tensile Properties and Fatigue Behavior of Austenitic High Mn steel)

  • The effect of grain size on the tensile properties and fatigue behavior of austenitic high Mn steel has been investigated. The recrystallized austenite grain size of the cold rolled high Mn steel was increased as the annealing temperature increased from $600^{\circ}C$ to $1000^{\circ}C$. Larger austenite grain size decreased the yield strength and the tensile strength, and increased the uniform elongation due to transformation of some austenite into twins or E-martensite phase during deformation. Austenite grain refinement increased the tendency to form dislocation cells, instead. The specimen annealed at $1000^{\circ}C$ with large grain size showed lower fatigue crack propagation rate in low ${\Delta}K$ region due to rougher fracture surface caused by formation of deformation twins during fatigue at the crack tip region.

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 자동차업계에서 널리 사용되는 복합조직인 고장력 강 판(high strength steel sheet, HS)과 아연도금강판(galvanized steel sheet, GA)을 선택하여 각 강판간의 점용접 피로특성을 규명하기 위하여 아래와 같은 4가지 조건하 의 단점 점용접 시험편을 제작하였다.

  • Evaluation of fatigue strength on the spot welded part is very important for strength design of spot welded steel structures. In this paper, we could get the life cycle of the spot welded part using the lethargy coefficient obtained through the quasi-static tensile shear test for the specimen welded by current 10kA. The reliability evaluation of the life cycle is completed by comparing the life cycle calculated under the constant loading rate with the life cycle obtained by dynamic fatigue test. And then the result calculated by the lethargy coefficient is verified through the lift cycle calculated using the dynamic final tensile stress formula under the increased loading speed. This way can make save the time and cost in processing of predicting the life cycle of a structure.

단섬유보강 금속복합재료의 반복적 변형 및 피로특성 (Cyclic Deformation and Fatigue Behavior of Short Fiber Reinforced Metal Matrix Composites)

  • Al6061 alloy reinforced with 15 volume% of Saffil fibers was fabricated by squeeze infiltration method. Uniform distribution of reinforcements and good bondings between reinforcements and matrix alloy were found in the microstructure of composites. Comparing with A16061 matrix alloy, tensile strength and elastic modulus of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/Al composites were increased up to 26% and 31%, respectively. Cyclic deformation and fatigue behavior of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/Al metal matrix composites were studied. The specimens were cycled using tension-tension(R=0.1) loading and under load controlled fatigue test. Cyclic stress-displacement curve through fatigue test was obtained. Fatigue strength of $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/Al composites was about 200 MPa, i.e.0.55 of applied stress level(q). During fatigue test, $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$/Al composites displayed cyclic hardening at all applied stress levels. The most of resultant displacement due to permanent plastic deformation occurred in less than the first 5% of fatigue life. Displacement-to-failure of the fatigue test was smaller than that of the tensile test because of accumulative damage by cumulative plastic deformation.

  • 강성포장(剛性鋪裝)에 대하여 더 좋은 공용성능(供用性能) 기대를 위한 개발과 파손발생에 대한 파손과정에 관하여 포장상태를 조사하게 된다. 본 논문(論文)은 공용중(供用中)인 시멘트콘크리트 포장(鋪裝)의 피로거동(疲勞擧動)과 탄성특성(彈性特性)에 대한 연구결과이다. 공용중(供用中)인 각(各) 포장(鋪裝)의 평균인장강도(平均引張強度)를 측정하기 위하여 Indirect tensile시험을 실시한 것이다. 변형측정(變形測定)은 이러한 특성의 변화 및 콘크리트의 탄성특성(彈性特性)을 구하기 위한 피로(疲勞)시험을 통하여 이루어진 것이다.
