탄소강(SM25C)의 접합면적의 변화에 따른 마찰용접의 접합특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Joint Properties according to the Friction Welding Area Change of Carbon Steel(SM25C))

  • This study investigates the properties as the difference friction welding area on SM25C steel rod. The tensile and bending strength and of welded joints, the hardness distribution of welds, the microstructure of welds and the tensile fracture surfaces were mainly investigated through this experiment. The fixed friction welding conditions were revolution 2000rpm, friction pressure 70Mpa, friction time 1.5sec, upset pressure 100Mpa, upset time 2.0sec, upset length 2.8mm and changeable friction welding parameter was friction welding area.

마찰용접에서 A2024와 SM45C의 삽입재에 관한 연구 (A Study on Insert Metal in Friction Welding of A2024 to SM45C)

  • This study was investigated on the friction welding of A2024 aluminum alloy to SM45C carbon steel with insert metals. The tensile strength of welded joints, the hardness distribution of welds, the microstructure of welds and the tensile fracture surfaces were mainly investigated through this experiment. When aluminum alloy A6351 was used as insert metal, the maximum tensile strength of welded joint was obtained. In this case, the maximum joint efficiency was 76.2 percent of base metal. Optimal welding conditions were N=2,000rpm. $P_1$=40MPa, $P_2$, $t_1$=1.5 sec, $t_2$=5 sec.

  • Corrosion products of reinforcement in the concrete exerts pressure to the adjacent concrete that the concrete is subject to tensile stress. If the tensile strength exceeds the tensile strength, cracks are initiated around steel and propagates through concrete cover. Cracking of the cover means that the lifetime of the structure is ended. So the amount of corrosion which introduces crack in the concrete cover is a crucial factor in the reinforcement corrosion problem. In this study, relation between internal pressure and amount of corrosion are pursued by way of corrosion experiment and finite element analysis.

  • This study was performed to optimize friction welding conditions of Cr-Mo steel bars used for hydraulic of pneumatic valve spools and to realize the real-time evaluation of weld quality by acoustic emission method. SNCM220, SCM435, SCAM645, and SCM415 steel bars were tested to find optimum conditions of friction welding. Auantitative equations which exhibit the relations of tensile strength, elongation, reduction of area and energy absorption with friction heating time were obtained by the experiment. Acoustic emission was also performed in the friction weldig process, and the real-time evaluation was enabled to find the optimum range of weld strength. Finally, the strength and toughness of welded joints were interpreted by the sem analysis of tensile fracture surfaces.

삽입재를 사용한 A2024-T6와 SM45C의 마찰용접에 관한 연구 (A Study on Friction Welding of A2024-T6 and SM45C using Insert Metals)

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the friction welding of A2024-T6 aluminum alloy and SM45C carbon steel using insert metals. The relationships among the friction welding conditions, the tensile strength of joints, the hardness distribution of welds, the microstructure of welds and the tensile fracture surfaces were mainly investigated through this experiment. When the A6063-T5 aluminum alloy of insert metal was used, the maximum tensile strengh of joint was obtained. In this case, the maximum joint efficiency was 75.3 percent and in the case of unusing the insert metals, it was 37.7 percent. Optimal welding conditions were N=2000rpm, P$_1$=40MPa, P$_2$=140MPa, t$_1$=1.0sec and t$_2$=5sec.

  • Pull-off test is widely used to evaluate bond performance between concrete and FRP composite. However, reliability of experiment result declines due to many difference between test methods of each national standards. This study analyzed problems of various existing test methods for pull-off test and suggested standardized test method. In addition, since tensile strength of concrete is smaller than bond strength of epoxy resin, maximum bond strength of epoxy resin shall be limited within tensile strength of concrete. Alternative testing method, therefore, which decrease FRP adhesion areas than concrete adhesion areas is suggested to widen test range of bond strength in pull-off test. In the experimental results, bond performance can be estimated up to two times of tensile strength of concrete by reducing FRP adhesion areas by 1/3.

압력 조건이 초소성 성형품의 성질에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Pressure-time Condition Affect in Properties of Superplastic Formed part)

  • The shape and thickness distribution according to the pressure-time curve were carried out using the FEM and experiment. Also, mechanical properties were investigated. The square cup parts have been formed with pressure-time curve generated by result of analysis. The tensile strength and elongation have been investigated according to applied pressure conditions using the tensile test specimen obtained from the superplastic formed cup. We can use to predict the shape of formed part under the applied pressure using the FEM analysis. In the case of optimum pressure condition, the thickness distribution and mechanical properties were improved. From this study, we can find the important of optimum pressure-time condition. We have investigated about the forming of airplane part and fuel tank for motorcycle. If the applied load used in boundary conditions was appropriate, the simulation result coincides with the formed part. However, it is very difficult to define the pressure condition in complicated shape. Thus, it is need to develop the optimum pressure condition for superplastic forming.

  • Nonlinear finite element analysis of reinforced concrete panels subjected to biaxial tensile loads are carried out by using a 9-node assumed strain shell element. The present study mainly focuses on the performance evaluation of material models such as cracking criteria, tension stiffening model and steel model in the membrane energy dominant situation. From numerical results, the exponential form of tension stiffening model together with the use of average yield stress model for the steel embedded in the concrete performs well in the panel analysis under biaxial tensile loading condition and it produces a good agreement with experiment results. Finally, the present results are provided as a benchmark test for reinforced concrete panel structures.

재생 엘라스토머 수지의 기계적 물성과 모폴로지 (Mechanical Properties and Morphology of the Recycled Thermoplastic Elastomer Molding)

  • Automotive weather strip should have good weather ability, sealability, durability, etc. to perform its duty as body sealing for vehicles under different harsh environments. Due to its comprehensive properties, thermoplastic vulcanizate(TPV) is widely employed in weather strip as alternative for ethylene propylene diene rubber(EPDM). In this study, the influences of the recycled TPV on the tensile strength and hardness were investigated. As results of the injection molding experiment, the recycled TPV's tensile strength and hardness were higher than the virgin TPV and recycled TPV's extension was improve. The morphology showed that recycled TPV's rubber particles became smaller than virgin TPV's rubber particles.

탄소섬유강화형 복합재료의 기계적 성질에 미치는 수환경의 영향 (The Influence of Water Environment on the Mechanical Properties of Carbon/Epoxy Reinforced Composite Materials)

  • This study is investigated of tensile and fatigue strength for advanced composite materials under hygrothermal environment. The materials used are two types of Carbon/Epoxy reinforced composite materials i.e., 13$0^{\circ}C$ cure-type composite T-1/347, and 18$0^{\circ}C$ cure-type MM-1/982X. These are composed by cross-ply laminates. Test condition is the distilled water of 8$0^{\circ}C$. The separate absorption contents estimated by the Fick's diffusion rule are similar to the experiment results. The tensile strength of T-1/347 wet specimens more increased than that of dry ones, but that of MM-1/982X decreased. The fatigue strengthes of both T-1/347 and MM-1/982X wet specimen more decreased than those of dry specimens.
