In this paper, we propose soft dead pixels detection method by analysing different response at hot and cold images. Abnormal pixels are able to effect detecting a small target. It also makes confusing real target or not cause of changing target size. Almost exist abnormal pixels after image signal processing even if dead pixels are removed by dead pixel compensation are called soft dead pixels. They are showed defect in final image. So removing or compensating dead pixels are very important for detecting object. The key idea of this proposed method, detecting dead pixels, is that most of soft deads have different response characteristics between hot image and cold image. General infrared cameras do NUC to remove FPN. Working 2-reference NUC must be needed getting data, hot & cold images. The way which is proposed dead pixel detection is that we compare response, NUC gain, at each pixel about two different temperature images and find out dead pixels if the pixels exceed threshold about average gain of around pixels.

This paper presents a high accuracy and fast hybrid on-chip temperature sensor. The proposed temperature sensor combines a SAR type temperature sensor with a ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ type temperature sensor. The SAR type temperature sensor has fast temperature searching time but it has more error than the ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ type temperature sensor. The ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ type temperature sensor is accurate but it is slower than the SAR type temperature sensor. The proposed temperature sensor uses both the SAR and ${\Sigma}{\Delta}$ type temperature sensors, so that the proposed temperature sensor has high accuracy and fast temperature searching. Also, the proposed temperature sensor includes a temperature error compensating circuit by storing the temperature errors in a memory circuit after chip fabrication. The proposed temperature sensor was fabricated in 3.3V CMOS $0.35{\mu}m$ process. Its temperature resolution, power consumption, and area are $0.15^{\circ}C$, $540{\mu}W$, and $1.2mm^2$, respectively.
To understand a two-phase flow, a liquid film thickness is one of the important factors. A lot of researches have been performed to measure liquid film thickness with various approaches. Recently, an electrical conductance method which uses the conductivity of the liquid film has been widely applied on measuring the liquid film thickness. Though the electrical method has an advantage in high spatial resolution, as the conductivity of liquid can be affected by its temperature variation, the conventional electrical conductance methods have a limitation in being applied on varying temperature conditions where a heat transfer is involved. The purpose of this study is to develop a three-ring liquid film sensor that overcomes the limitation of the conventional method. The three-ring conductance method can measure the film thickness regardless of temperature variation by compensating the change of liquid conductivity. Considering its application on a wide range of conditions such as high temperature or curved surfaces, the sensor was fabricated on flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) in this study. This paper presents the concept of the measurement method, design procedure, prototype sensor fabrication and calibration results.

In this study, a low-velocity impact test was performed to obtain the dynamic properties of solid propellants. The dynamic behavior of the solid propellant was examined by measuring the force and displacement of the impactor during the low-velocity impact test. The bending displacement was calculated by compensating for the local displacement caused by the low-velocity impact test in the form of three point bending and the shear displacement caused by using a short and thick solid propellant specimen. Stress and strain were calculated using compensated displacements and measured force, and dynamic properties of solid propellants were obtained from the stress-strain curve and compared with static bending test. The dynamic properties of solid propellant under the low-velocity impact loading at various operating temperature conditions such as room temperature(20 ℃), high temperature(63 ℃), and low temperature(-32 ℃) were compared and investigated.
A current sensor is one of important component which is used for the electrical current measurement during charge and discharge of the battery, and monitoring system of the motor controller in the electric and hybrid vehicle. In this study, we have developed an open loop type current sensor using GaAs Hall sensor and magnetic core has an air gap. The Hall sensor detect magnetic field produced by the current to be measured. The 3 mm air gap core was made by HGO electrical steel sheets after slitting, winding, annealing, molding, and cutting. Developed current sensor shows 0.03 % linearity within DC current range from -400 A to +400 A. Operating temperature range was extended to the range of $-40{\sim}105^{\circ}C$ using temperature compensating electronic circuit. To Improve frequency bandwidth limit due to the air flux of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) and Hall sensor, We employed an air flux compensating loop near Hall sensor or on PCB. Frequency bandwidth of the sensor was 100 kHz when we applied sine wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ in the frequency range from 100 Hz to 100 kHz. For the dynamic response time measurement, 5 kHz square wave current of $40A{\cdot}turn$ was applied to the sensor. Response time was calculated time reach to 90 % of saturation value and smaller than $2{\mu}s$.

In this paper, resistance temperature detector (RTD) integrated into the LED package is proposed in order to solve the temperature dependence of LED's optical properties. To measure the package temperature in real time, the RTD type temperature sensor having excellent accuracy and linearity between temperature change and resistance change was adopted. A stable metallic film is required for long term reliability and stability of the RTD type temperature sensor. Therefore, deposition and annealing condition for the film were determined. Based on the determined condition, the RTD type temperature sensor with the sensitivity of about $1.560{\Omega}/^{\circ}C$ was fabricated inside the LED package. In order to configurate the LED package system keeping the constant brightness regardless of the temperature, additional conversion circuit and control circuit boards were fabricated and added to the fabricated LED package. The proposed system was designed to compensate the light intensity caused by temperature change using the variable duty rate of driving current. As a result, the duty rate of PWM signal which is the output signal of the configurated system was changed with the temperature change, and the duty rate was similarly varied with the target duty rate. Consequently, it was focused the fabricated RTD can be used for compensating the optical properties of LED and the LED package which exhibits constant brightness regardless of the temperature change.
A portable type K thermocouple thermometer is designed and fabricated to compensate the linearity to the high temperature $1000^{\circ}C$. The problems to be solved, which use a thermocouple thermometer are the compensation of the nonlinearity characters and reference compensation. The nonlinear character of the thermocouple is compensated, using an EPROM, and the reference compensation done using an IC AD595A. Before this compensation, there was the maximum error of $23.6^{\circ}C$(2.69%) at $876^{\circ}C$. However the results measured by the portable type K thermocouple thermometer fabricated show the character of the error of ${\pm}2^{\circ}C$(0.2%) in the range of the total temperature. This character satisfies the precision specifications of the type K thermal sensors in the range available $1000^{\circ}C$, which can be measured by the use of type K thermocouples. Therefore the portable type K thermocouple thermometer fabricated can be comparatively exactly used for the wide range of temperature of interest. Then this technique of compensating the nonlinear characters can be applied to the other kinds of thermal sensor compensation.

The heterodyne He-Ne laser interferometer is the most widely used sensing unit to measure the position error. It measures the positioning error from the displacement of a moving reflector in terms of the wave length. But, the wave length is affected by the variation of atmospheric temperature. Temperature variation of 1$^\circ C$ results in the measuring error of 1ppm. In this paper, for measuring more accurately the position error of the ultra precision stage, the refractive index compensation method is introduced. The wave length of the laser interferometer is compensated using the simultaneously measured room temperature variations in the method. In order to investigate the limit of compensation, the stationary test against two fixed reflectors mounted on the zerodur$\circledR$ plate is performed firstly. From the experiment, it is confirmed that the measuring error of the laser interferometer can be improved from 0.34${\mu}m$ to 0.11${\mu}m$ by the application of the method. Secondly, for the verification of the compensating effect, it is applied to estimate the positioning accuracy of an ultra precision aerostatic stage. Two times of the refractive index compensation are performed to acquire the positioning error of the stage from the initially measured data, that is, to the initially measured positioning error and to the measured positioning error profile after the NC compensation. Although the positioning error of an aerostatic stage cannot be clarified perfectly, it is known that by the compensation method, the measuring error by the laser interferometer can be improved to within 0.1${\mu}m$.
Two kinds of multifilament Bi-2223/Ag tapes, which are different in the precursor calcination temperatures, were heat treated for different time (12, 20, 30, 50, 70, or 100 h) firstly to obtain varied B2223 contents, and then followed by the same pressing and sintering cycles. The relation of the 2223 phase contents after the first sintering and the transport property of the fully processed tapes was studied. The results show that 75-80% 2223 phase formed in tapes before the first cold pressing is beneficial to get a high $I_{c}$ in the final tapes. Compensating the total heat treatment time of the tapes first sintered for 20 h to the same length as that first sintered for 50 h in the subsequent sintering stages, different $I_{c}$ enhancements were observed in these two tapes. No improvement on $I_{c}$ was found in the tape made from the powder calcined at higher temperature, whereas for the tape prepared with the lower temperature calcined powder, the $I_{c}$ was increased to the same level as that first sintered for 50 h. The 2223 contents before the intermediate mechanical work is related to the residual reactants, especially to the liquid phase, which is of vital importance to the phase conversion and healing microcracks, meanwhile, to the size and distribution of the non-superconducting secondary phases. The lower temperature calcined powder resulted in slow formation of 2223 phase, but also provided more reactants and liquid phase for the further phase conversion, as a consequence, for the Improvement of $I_{c}$. c/.

The refractive index of the laser interferometer is compensated using the simultaneously measured variations of room temperature and humidity in the method. In order to investigate the limit of compensation, the stationary test against two fixed reflectors mounted on the zerodur plate is performed firstly. From the experiment, it is confirmed that the measuring error of the laser interferometer can be improved from 0.12$\mu$m to 0.17$\mu$m by the application of the method. Although the positioning error of anaerostatic stage cannot be clarified perfectly, it is known that by the compensation method, the measuring error by the laser interferometer can be improved to within 0.15$\mu$m.
