The boroadband ISDN will transprot the traffics for a wide range of applications with different quality-of-service (QOS) requirements and the priorit control mechanism is an effective method to support multiple classes of services. This paper proposes a new mechanism to satisfy simultaneously the different levels of cell loss performance for the two classes of heterogeneous nonreal-time ATM traffics as well as the delay and loss requirements of real-time traffics. Its performance is analyzed using the stochastic integral approach with the cell arrivals of input streams modeled as markov modulated poisson processes.

With recent development of speech recognition technology and multimedia computer systems, more potential applications of voice will become a reality. In this paper, we implement speech interface on the windows95 environment for practical use fo multimedia computers with voice. Speech interface is made up of three modules, that is, speech input and detection module, speech recognition module, and application module. The speech input and etection module handles th elow-level audio service of win32 API to input speech data on real time. The recognition module processes the incoming speech data, and then recognizes the spoken command. DTW pattern matching method is used for speech recognition. The application module executes the voice command properly on PC. Each module of the speech interface is designed and examined on windows95 environments. Implemented speech interface and experimental results are explained and discussed.

텔레매틱스 서비스는 크게 주변 지역 관심 정보, 날씨, 근접 정비소, 현금 자동인출기 등의 정보서비스 분야와 교통정보 서비스, 네비게이션 서비스, 응급서비스, 고장 서비스 및 차량수리 및 차량문제에 관한 진단서비스를 중심으로 서비스가 개발되고 있다. 혹은 두 가지 분야가 복합적으로 개발되고 있다. 또한 텔레매틱스 시장은 여러 가지 기술들이 독립적으로 분할되어 다양한 제품으로 정보를 제공하기 보다는 여러 정보 및 기능 등이 텔레매틱스 시스템으로 집중 및 통합되는 형태가 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 차량 장치 정보를 열람하고 제어하기 위한 단말 미들웨어 모델을 제시/구현하고, 단말 미들웨어를 이용하는 텔레매틱스 서비스 배포를 위한 배포 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

Recently, the services using position information of moving objects is embossed. Theses services needs the moving objects databases to manage moving object data with efficiency. To build the moving object databases, we must develop the moving object engine to mange, store, and search the spatio temporal data of moving object. The moving object engine has to support query syntax to search data that suitable for user need like LBS, Telematics, ITS, vehicle management system. In this paper, we design and implement the moving object engine to support service with moving object data. The moving object engine is able to support system environment that users are able to get the moving object data easily even they don't know complex data structure.

Geographic Information System(GIS) market in Korea was made based on "the First Master Plan for the korean National GIS" Recently the private GIS market is growing rapidly for LBS, Telematics, Web Geographic Information Service. So, the purpose of this study is to make the development strategies reflected ′moving the core of GIS market′ from public to private sector. By using the Model of Added Value chain, the business model which reflect features of geographical information best, we analyzed markets and classified them into four fields along the uses and degrees of added value. The features of markets in each field are researched and the ways of development about each fields are established. And the business model for geoaphic information circulation is made for development of GIS. market. To realize the development strategies in each field, this study proposes the national roles.

In multiprocessor systems, there are Omega network and M network among various MIN's which interconnect the processor and memory modules. Both one-path Omega network and two-path M network are composed of Log2N stages. In this paper, Augmented M network (AMN) with 2**k+1 paths and Augmented Omega network (AON) with 2**k paths are proposed. The proposed networks can be acomplished by adding K stage(s) to M network and Omega network. Using destination tag, routing algorithm for AMN and AON becomes simple and multiple faults are tolerant. By evaluating RST(request service time) performance of AMN and AON with (Log2N)+K stages, we demonstrated the fact that MMIN (AMN) with 2**k+1 paths performs better than MMIN(AON) with 2**k+1. paths.

In this paper, a multiple-access algorithm for PCN is proposed. The proposed algorithm provides th integrated service of information soruces and can be operated stably in high load state. Given bandwidth is efficiently used for it in the microcell environment. And system performance can be improved through the statistical-multiplexing technque. In order to process the speech signal usually requiring real-tiem processing, we adopt a random access of AlOHA type for th ebasic protocol sturcture and assume the form of ALOHA-reservation. We have analyzed the performance of the proposed algorithm through system throughput and packet delay in the microcell environment.

인식어휘수가 1160단어이며 자동 전화번호 안내에 사용될 수 있는 한국어 대용량 음성 인식 시 스템에 관하여 소개하였다. 이 시스템은 네 개의 부시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 첫 번째는 HMM 방식으 로 입력음성중의 단어를 인식하는 처리부에서 인식할 어휘를 제한하므로써 인식시간을 감축시켜 주는 인식 시간 감축부이다. 이 부시스템은 언어학적 정보뿐만 아니라 음향학적 정보도 이용한다. 마지막은 음성인식 시스템의 파라미터를 새로운 화자의 음성에 신속하게 적응시켜 주는 화자적응부이다. 마지막 부시스템은 VQ 적응방식과 스펙트럼 mapping 방식에 근거한 HMM 파라미터 적응방식을 이용한다. 또 한, 본 논문에서는 대용량 음성인식 시스템의 성능을 향상시키기 위한 최근의 연구결과들에 관하여 살 펴보았다. 이 연구들은 화자 독립 음성인식을 위한 음향학적 처리부와 인식 시간 감축부의 성능향상에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 마지막으로 화자적응을 위한 새로운 연구결과라도 기술하였다.

가속화된 자동차의 대중화로 차량증가에 따른 도로의 확장 및 신설에만 의존해오던 기존의 틀을 벗어나 첨단정보통신기술을 이용하여 도로교통 정보를 신속히 수집하고 교통정보 이용자에게 실시간으로 분배함으로써 효율적인 교통관리가 가능한 지능형 교통시스템의 도입이 시작하였다. 최근, 공중 무선 통신망과 달리 도로상에서 고속 주행중인 차량을 대상으로 하여 도로변에 비교적 간단한 기지국 시스탬을 설치하고 저가의 통신단말기로서 사용자에게 값싼 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있을 뿐 만 아니라 적은 비용으로 교통정보수집 및 제공뿐만 아니라, 인터넷 접속, e-mail 송수신 디지털 음성 및 비디오 파일 다운로드가 가능한 텔레메틱스 서비스가 급속도로 가속화하고 있다. 본 고에서는 텔레메틱스 서비스가 차량과 접목된 이동 무선 데이터 통신 기술과 함께 발전 될 전망으로 요소기술을 살펴보았다.

This paper describes the design of Korean electronic Mail system which is installed at DECnet in Seoul National University computer center. In our system we introduce facilities for command processing and naming service in Korean, which was impossible in most mail systems. We emphasize flexibility in the design of Message Transfer Agent, for there are numer-ous code representions for Korean language.
