  • Telegram is an indispensible information & telecommunication system to our daily life. VTS(Voice Telegram System) under intensive research is intended to enhance exchanging capability of information & telecommunication by adding voice media to existing telegram system. Overall configuration and necessary core technologies of the system were investigated for its development. Among those many technologies in need, the technology of compressing and recording data is most critical to the development of cheap hardware. This is so called vocoder algorithm and is the core technology of voice information system. So, here, vocoder algorithm now being studied will be introduced.

  • This study conducted a digital forensic analysis of Signal and Telegram, two secure messengers widely used in the Android environment. As mobile messengers currently play an important role in daily life, data management and security within these apps have become very important issues. Signal and Telegram, among others, are secure messengers that are highly reliable among users, and they safely protect users' personal information based on encryption technology. However, much research is still needed on how to analyze these encrypted data. In order to solve these problems, in this study, an in-depth analysis was conducted on the message encryption of Signal and Telegram and the database structure and encryption method in Android devices. In the case of Signal, we were able to successfully decrypt encrypted messages that are difficult to access from the outside due to complex algorithms and confirm the contents. In addition, the database structure of the two messenger apps was analyzed in detail and the information was organized into a folder structure and file format that could be used at any time. It is expected that more accurate and detailed digital forensic analysis will be possible in the future by applying more advanced technology and methodology based on the analyzed information. It is expected that this research will help increase understanding of secure messengers such as Signal and Telegram, which will open up possibilities for use in various aspects such as personal information protection and crime prevention.

On a Speech Coding Algorithm for Low Cost Implementation of Voice Telegram System (보이스 전보 시스템 구현을 위한 저가형 음성파형 부호화 알고리즘)

  • A telegram has been used to transmit the emergency news or celebration message. So, it has been very important media in our life. Although the telegram processing is more and more convenient, on the other hand, the telegram service contains only text message. The voice telegram is that delivering user's voice with text message. So, the voice telegram can be delivered sender's emotions and feelings. However, since voice information contains lots of data, large memory size and high cost processor are needed to deliver itself. In this paper, we proposed a new speech waveform coding method that has low complexity and low cost implementation for the voice telegram system. First, we fixed one basic speech waveform per pitch period and measured the waveform similarity between basic and neighbor speech waveform. Second, if the similarity satisfied threshold values, we compress the neighbor speech waveform with pitch and magnitude value per pitch period and if not, we save speech waveform. When the compression is about 45%, we obtained about 4 point in MOS.

Evaluation of Safeness and Functionality in Applied Technologies for Mobile Messengers

  • Recently, KakaoTalk users seek secure messengers with fears of 'possible' censorship over a mobile messenger. Instead German messenger "Telegram" is gaining popularity in South Korea. Are the known as secure messengers actually secure? In this paper, we evaluate secure mobile messengers in terms of private information protection. We establish the fourteen criteria to evaluate the functionality of messenger apps including communication encryption in transit, the possibility of leakage of decrypted messages via server, an encryption algorithm, a key exchange algorithm, an ephemeral message application, etc. Line, Telegram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Wickr, Facebook Messenger and KakaoTalk, which have many worldwide and domestic users, are to be targeted. Wickr is ranked at the top of the evaluation, followed by Telegram and Line but KakaoTalk and Snapchat are ranked at the bottom of the evaluation list.

Parallel Descrambling of Transponder Telegram for High-Speed Train (고속철도용 트랜스폰더 텔레그램의 병렬 디스크램블링 기법)

  • In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. In this paper, we proposed parallel descrambling scheme for high-speed railway transponder system, which aims for reducing the processing time required to decode telegram. Since a telegram is stored in a tag after information bits are scrambled by an encoder, decoding procedure includes descrambling of received telegram to recover the original information bits. By analyzing the structure of the descrambling shift register circuit, we proposed a parallel descrambling scheme for fast decoding of telegram. By comparing the required number of clocks, it is shown that the proposed scheme significantly outperforms the original one.

  • 전보(Telegram)는 우리의 생활에서 필요한 정보통신 시스템이다. 지금까지 전보의 기능은 긴급하거나 짧은 정보의 내용을 전화국의 메신저를 통해 문자위주로 변환하여 수신자에게 전달하고있다. 이와는 달리 음성 전보 시스템(Voice Telegram System)은 기존의 문자전달방식에 음성을 가미한 것으로서 발신자의 목소리도 함께 기록하여 수신자에게 전달하는 방식이다. 본 논문에서 음성 전보에 적합한 알고리즘을 새로이 제안하다. 유/무성음 판별 후 유성음에 대해 피치주기별로 유사도를 측정하여 유사도가 낮은 파형은 전송하고 유사도가 높은 파형은 피치와 에너지 정보만 전송하는 방법이다. 실험결과 전체 음성에 대해서 $41\%$의 압축율과 MOS 테스트 결과 4.1을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. When the transponder tag receives the energizing signal from the train, it sends a telegram to the reader, which includes location information. In high-speed railway environment, this telegram can be corrupted by electromagnetic interference caused by onboard electric train power equipments or wayside devices. In order to assess the performance of transponder system under this harsh environment, we carried out field test using HEMU-430X. Field test results are briefly introduced and discussed for the evaluation of the transponder system under development.

Towards a Redundant Response Avoidance for Intelligent Chatbot

  • Smartphones are one of the most widely used mobile devices allowing users to communicate with each other. With the development of mobile apps, many companies now provide various services for their customers by studying interactive systems in the form of mobile messengers for business marketing and commercial promotion. Such interactive systems are called "chatbots." In this paper, we propose a method of avoiding the redundant responses of chatbots, according to the utterances entered by the user. In addition, the redundant patterns of chatbot responses are classified into three categories for the first time. In order to verify the proposed method, a chatbot is implemented using Telegram, an open source messenger. By comparing the proposed method with an existent method for each pattern, it is confirmed that the proposed method significantly improves the redundancy avoidance rate. Furthermore, response performance and variation analysis of the proposed method are investigated in our experiment.

  • By the increase of internet usage, communicating online became an everyday thing. Thereby various people have experienced profanity by anonymous users. Nowadays lots of studies tried to solve this problem using artificial intelligence, but most of the solutions were for non-real time situations. In this paper, we propose a Telegram plugin that detects swear words using word2vec, and an algorithm to find the target of the sentence. We vectorized the input sentence to find connections with other similar words, then inputted the value to the pre-trained CNN (Convolutional Neural Network) model to detect any swears. For target recognition we proposed a sequential algorithm based on KoNLPY.

  • Muscle stiffness, pain discomfort in daily activities are cardinal symtoms on arthritis. To reduce these symtoms, a nonequivalent one-group pre & posttest experiment was carried out at a rural community health post area in kwangju province during eight weeks(from 25th of January to 20th of March, 2002) The subjects were sixteen old (60-80) with osteoarthritis. And to reduce the level of pain, discomfort in daily living and to increase that of life satisfaction, 25-30minutes of muscle-joint exercise followed by 25-30minutes of local heat therapy were done three times a week. The total experimental period extended at 12 weeks and the total 36 times it executed 1. The retrogression characteristic osteoarthritis elderly with local heat and a muscle joint exercise was the telegram which it receives and after receiving, the score of the paindaily activity function appeared to the lead, there was a difference which considers statistically, this constriction was supported.(Z=4.947, p<0.0001) 2.
