Conventional financial accounting system has overseen the significant roles of the non-financial facets of the activities of the company, especially whose value creating abilities are based on knowledge assets. In the knowledge-based economy, telecommunication service companies must recognize the changes from the tangible assets to the knowledge assets as value creating resources, understand the dynamic processes in which the knowledge is converted to financial profits and seek the method to measure and report knowledge assets to sustain the competitive advantage continuously. This study proposes the indicators and measures of knowledge assets of Korea Telecom. Through the analysis and application of tile knowledge assets report of the Korea Telecom, this study shows the usefulness of the knowledge assets report.

We study factors that affect consumers' switching behaviors among service providers in Korean mobile telecommunications service market. For empirical analysis, quarterly time series data from the first quarter of 2004 through the second quarter of 2007 were used. We chose the number of switchers to each mobile service provider in each quarter as dependent variables. Independent variables include acquisition costs per subscriber, which play the role of subsidy to mobile handset, switching costs, time trend, structural change effect, and waiting demand effects. Through the empirical analysis, we found that each provider's churn-in customers are affected by different factors. Specifically, the number of churn-in customers into SK Telecom is explained mainly by SK Telecom's customer acquisition costs and waiting demand from KTF, while the number of customers switching into KTF is better explained by switching costs from the previous service provider and waiting demand from SK Telecom. Those who chose LG Telecom as their new provider, on the other hand, were mainly attracted by LG Telecom's high subscriber acquisition cost.

SK Telecom은 2000년 10월 세계 최초로 기존 IS-95A/B망에서 지원하였던 속도인 14.4Kbps나 56Kbps 보다 훨씬 빠른 최고 144Kbps로 무선인터넷이 가능한 CDMA2000 IX를 상용화 하였다. 또한, 2002년 1월에는 CDMA2000 IX보다 15배 이상 빠른 최대 2.4Mbps가 가능한 동기식 3세대 망인 CDMA2000 IxEV-DO를 세계 최초로 상용화 하였다. 이러한 초고속 무선 인터넷 서비스를 위해서 패킷 데이터 처리에 필수적인 PDSN(Packet Data Serving Node), HA(Home Agent), AAA(Authentication, Authorization and Accounting) 등의 노드들로 구성된 Packet Core Network(이하 PCN)이 도입되었으며, 이에 대한 운용 및 관리 방안이 중요한 issue로 등장하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 음성 서비스 관리를 위한 망관리 시스템(Network Management System)과는 다른 개념으로 관리되어야 할 패킷 서비스를 위한 NMS 구축 방안을 제시하고, 필수적인 관리 정보 및 서비스 관리를 위한 방향을 제시한다.

통신용 전원시설의 고장은 거의 모든 통신서비스의 중단을 일으킬 수 있기 때문에 통신용 전일시설의 신뢰성은 매우 중요하다. 그 중 통신시스템에 직류 전원을 직접 공급하는 정류시스템은 가장 중요한 전원시스템으로 분류될 수 있다. 현재 여러 전화국 및 무인국사에서 운용되는 정류시스템은 전원관리시스템에 의해 실선으로 감시되고 있으나 중단없는 서비스제공을 위해서는 전원관리시스템과 통신을 통해 효율적으로 감시 및 제어가 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 한국통신에서는 이러한 요구에 부응하기 위하여 소형, 경량화 및 자연냉각방식등을 채택하여 운용유지보수 효율이 향상되고, 전원관리 시스템이 통신을 통해 시스템 감시 및 제어가 가능한 신형 정류기 개발을 완료하였다.

To compensate the loss of leased-line subscribers and the excessive increase of residential xDSL (Digital Subscriber Line) ones of KT (Korea Telecom), the paper proposes the service model by which it can reinstate the subscription ratio status through employing next generation OSS (Operations Support System) and highquality MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) VPN (Virtual Private Network). It also describes diverse modules comprising NeOSS (New OSS) of KT, followed by detailed accounts regarding the service delivery process of KT VPN. Shortly visited are the primary constituents as well as configuration parameters of MPLS VPN. Finally the network topology along with a feasible service model case is presented.

본 논문에서는 공장에너지관리를 위한 IoT 기반 플랫폼 개발에 대한 연구를 다루고 있다. 특히, 스마트팩토리에 대한 고사양성 서비스를 제공하는 것이 아닌, 소규모 공장에서도 적용할 수 있는 시스템을 통해 스마트팩토리로 전향하기 위한 기반을 제공하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 IoT 표준을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 클라우드 서비스와 분석시스템 등을 제공한다.

본 논문에서는 공장에너지관리를 위한 에너지관리시스템 개발에 대한 연구를 다루고 있다. 특히, 설비 교체나 고성능 또는 고가의 입출력 장비를 활용하는 것이 아닌, 공장에너지 사용량 모니터링에 대한 네트워크 구축을 통해 공장관리자에게 에너지를 효율적으로 사용하고 있는지를 알려주고, 이를 활용하여 에너지를 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 서버를 구축하기 위한 별도 공간을 보유하고 있지 않은 중소형 공장을 대상으로 하기 위해 클라우드 서비스를 적용하여 제공한다.

현재 국내에서 가장 많이 쓰이는 분산 미들웨어 기술은 크게 세가지로 구분할 수 있다. OMG(Object Management Group)의 CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture), 마이크로 소프트사의 DOCM/COM+ 그리고 썬(SUN)사의 EJB(Enterprise Java Beans)이다. 이 분산 미들웨어 기술들은 분산환경에서 시스템들간의 운영체제나 프로그래밍 언어에 관계없이 객체 서비스를 제공하여 독립적이고 표준화된 환경을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 한국통신 초고속사업 중 NMS HelpDesk System(고장관리시스템)의 구축사례를 소개한다. 개발된 시스템은 분산 미들웨어 기술을 이용하여 DCOM/COM 응용시스템, CORBA 서버, 데이터베이스 응용시스템, 그리고 최종 운영자용 웹 인터페이스 시스템 둥으로 구성된 대규모 분산시스템이다.

현재 한국통신에서는 전원공급방식을 크게 직류전원공급방식 및 교류전원공급방식으로 구분하여 공급하고 있다. 이러한 직류전원 및 교류전원으로 이원화된 통신서비스용 전원설비를 운용함으로써 대용량의 통신설비에 전원공급 시 국사상면의 부족현상이 심화될 뿐만 아니라 전력소비량증가 등 많은 문제점이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 우선 직류 및 교류전원공급방식의 특성 및 실제로 교류전원을 직류전원으로의 전환방안과 대체 시 얻는 장/단점 및 경제적 이득에 대해 서술하고자 한다.
