Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority(ACARA) was founded by Australian federal government in 2009. Leading under ACARA, national education curriculum development was propelled. Also from 2014 they gradually extended enforcement of new curriculum by a Reminder about new syllabus implementation (2013.01.29.). The research result of Australia's curriculum, and textbook shows that students repeat, and advance the same contents under spiral curriculum as they move to higher grade. They actively use digital technology, and also puts emphasis on practical context such as Money & financial mathematics. On the level of difficulty, or quantity aspect, Korea handles relatively advanced contents of 'number and operation' or 'Letters and Algebraic Expressions' domain than Australia. However on statistics domain, Australia not only puts more focus on practical stats than Korea, but also concerns as much on both various and qualitative terms Australia doesn't deal with formal concept of 'function'. However, they learn the wide concept of function by handling various graphs. This shows Australia has a point of similarity, and also difference to Korea on various angles.

The purpose of the research is examine the effect of STEM integration education using educatinal robot on academic achievement and subject Attitude of mathematics and science. The participants were 73 students of two classes, sampled from 6th graders of an elementary school. They were divided into a control group who learned a traditional mathematics and sciences education based textbooks and an experimental group who learned STEM integration education using educational robot during 12 sessions. The results are summarized as follows : First, there is a significant difference in academic achievement between two groups. STEM integration education using educational robot based group accomplished higher achievement than textbook based instruction group. Especially, post test analyzes results on the three factors of academic achievement, knowledge, understanding and adaptation, indicate statistically meaningful difference between two groups in understanding and adaptation area except knowledge area. Second, it shows that it greatly affected a positive influence on experimental group's attitude toward subjects in affective area. So we can expect STEM integration education using educational robot to be an alternative for stimulating children's higher learning interest on mathematics and science subject.

The IT(Information Technology) is very important growth power in the knowledge information based society. But there is nothing an educational program or system for putting the computer science education in the primary and secondary school into practice. We can talk this problem because of the national curriculum. This existing state brings to a conclusion not only to the political and administrative support but also to the national curriculum. These internal problems are two. First problem is the content in the computer textbook. And second problem is the connection between the computer science education curriculum of university and that of primary and secondary school. This study analyzed the relation about it. And this study suggested the ideal method for connecting those of them. Finally, the results of this study are two. First result is the necessary to reconstruct the domain knowledge of the computer based on the computer science for getting the identity. And second result is necessary to connect between the domain knowledge of the computer based on the computer science identity of university and that of primary and secondary school.

In terms of development for CMC computer science curriculum was started from 2006 year, and it was confirmed at 2013 year and adapting through 1 to 8 grade. CMC is focused on the "Develop computer fluency, not just computer literacy", "Develop thinking process skills, not just content mastery", and "Highlight the interconnectedness of knowledge, not just address a topic/subject in isolation" as a base of the curriculum. CMC have selected core factors which are Thinking process skills, Computer literacy integrated with fundamental concepts and thinking skills, Thematic integration, Spiral curriculum, and Scalability. Once CMC have been developed as a common computer curriculum by India government, both of computer training course and textbook development were conducted by government. In addition, they are trying to enforce the computer education. It suggests to Korea some significant points which were the necessity of Computer education as an independent subject and the requirement of Software education and Computational thinking as an educational content.
The government, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology(MEST) presented a new policy that standardizes digital textbooks as a method to accept the change of education paradigm in 2006. Since 2007, MEST has begun to provide digital textbooks for some elementary schools. MEST proposes to change digital textbooks as a standard in elementary, middle, and high schools in the future. However, the use of digital textbooks has led to concern about the health of students. The purpose of this study was to identify health-adverse effects of the use of digital textbooks on the health of students. Literature reviews regarding digital textbooks including national and international literature were conducted. The literature reviews found the key physical and psychological factors to be considered in using digital textbooks. The physical factors were symptoms and signs associated with eye, musculoskeletal system, general health, and skin. The mental factors were 'burn out of study' and 'stress due to study'.
In this study, we aim to search the utilization plan of primary 3-4 mathematics textbooks for 'Flipped Classroom' practice. In the flipped classroom, students are required to manipulate more rigorous concepts, deal with realistic problems and various activities, and discussions. Researcher analyzed the new mathematics textbooks of primary 3-4 grade that is applied 2014. The criteria of analysis was made of the instructional model for 'Flipped Classroom' that was set up by previous researcher. To practice the flipped classroom, teachers need to design their classes carefully for using selectively many materials of the textbooks to make students participate discussion in the classroom actively and to consider their interests and levels.
The objective of this study is to review how researches on mathematics education are being conducted currently in Korea and overseas and to examine the current state of domestic researches on mathematics education from a broader view. Although many efforts have been made to understand trends in researches on mathematics education, there have been few in depth studies on research trends in overseas or for comparison between domestic and overseas trends. Thus, this study classified and analyzed 181 domestic articles between 2005 and 2009 in the journals and and 201 overseas articles in the journals and according to year, research area, research contents, school level, research method, and key words using the PME classification system with some modification. Through these analysis, we examined research trends on secondary mathematics education in Korea and overseas. The research findings are as follows. First, 'teaching learning process' was a spotlight area both at home and overseas, and 'realistic mathematics' and 'social cultural subjects' were not covered much either at home or overseas. 'Mathematical communication' occupied a very small portion in Korea but was a highly interesting area in overseas research. Second, research contents of interest were different between Korea and overseas. Research on general area was the mainstream. But geometry and statistics were mainly studied in Korea and algebra and analysis in overseas. Third, research related to middle school was twice more than that related to high school in Korea, But, research related to middle school was the same as high school in overseas. Fourth, qualitative research was the absolute majority both at home and overseas, and philosophical didactical analysis was used only in Korea. Fifth, the order of key words were problem solving - teacher - curriculum - creativity - textbook in Korea, but teacher - teaching - semiotic - affective factor - proo f- problem solving - technology in overseas.
The objectives of the study were to. 1) explain the seriousness of environmental problems and the importance of environmental education in rural development , and 2) explore more effective and efficient ways of environmental education for agriculture and rural development in Korea. The world has rapidly changed and concepts such as clientele -centered, efficiency, and globalization are flowing under this change. Agriculture or rural development is not an exception. In order for agriculture as an occupation and rural communities to have competitiveness in efficiency and attractiveness, it is important to develop and execute a well-planned program for agriculture and rural development. Otherwise, farmers and rural inhabitants will continue to leave the agriculture and rural areas. Frequent recent reports of newspapers on nit and water pollution, including nutrients and pesticides have brought attention to the seriousness of environmental problems in Korea. Environmental concerns should consider in planning and executing the rural development program. People want to get contamination-free foods, water and fresh air. They can and are willing to pay their money for high quality food, water and a better living environment, as their incomes have been increasing, Agriculture and rural communities may have competitiveness in these aspects. It is irony that environmental concerns makes the possibility of changes in agriculture and rural development in Korea. Environmental education will have an increasingly important role in agriculture and rural development. Environmental problems relate to the human behavior in various aspects. Many environmental problems are mainly rooted to people's ignorance and spending-habits, and lack of technology related to environment. These human behaviors are the focus that environmental education should teach and change. Environmental education has been carried out through various subjects in school education in Korea, but "Environment" in middle school and "Environmental Science" in high school were separated as a regular subject from 1996. Environmental education still has a lot of room for development from a theoretical frame work. Environmental education should be carried out as action-oriented, student-centered programs. Various teaching materials, programs and proper supporting budget should be developed so that environmental education fulfills its necessary role well in agriculture and rural development. A textbook about the environment alone will not guarantee a high quality environmental education.
Korea, China and Japan show distinct features in their school environmental education, which are derived from their own spreading processes. Japanese school environmental education has developed as a result of assimilating of anti-pollution education and nature education, and has a feature that makes much of nature experiences. The introduction of 'Period for Integrated Study' in 2002 seems to begin activating Japanese school environmental education. Chinese school environmental education started in higher education institutions around the middle of 1970's, and has a feature that makes a point of scientific approach, even in primary education schools. The two government ordinances,'National Action Program for Environmental General Knowledge ($1996{\sim}2010$)' and 'Educational Scheme of Environmental Theme Study for Elementary and Secondary School Students' issued in 2003, gradually promote school environmental education in China. It is remarkable that Science and Technology Centers for Youth and also increasing environmental NPOs often support environmental activities in elementary or secondary schools. The most notable feature of Korean school environmental education is that 'Environment' has already offered as a regular elective subject in junior high school, and official 'Environment' textbook has published since early 1990's. Though, the adoption rate of 'Environment' is not yet so high. Each country's peculiar issues are as follows. Japan: (1) Students often lack basic knowledge about environmental important problems. (2) 'Period for Integrated Study' is now threatened with cutting hours by the idea of increasing periods for basic subjects to keep high achievement. China: (1) There are large regional differences and school distinctions in operation of environmental education. (2) Adult environmental education needs to be expanded, because the most part of Chinese have no experience of school environmental education. Korea: (1) The relationship between the administrative division which plans school environmental education and teachers group is not quite well. The adoption rate of 'Environment' in junior high school needs to be improved. The training of many teachers for environmental education instructors may be the most important and effective cooperative action among Korea, China and Japan, and for that purpose we ought to work on making a better handbook for instructors, at first.
This study aims to illustrate the national images of United Kingdom, France, and Germany based on the descriptions in the Korean middle school Social Studies textbooks in comparative perspective. In order to identify and compare the national images of the three countries, the author uses a framework for analysis consisting cognitive, normative, and relational factors. The main findings are as follows. First, the most frequently shown topics and issues are democratic institutions in the case of United Kingdom, respect for human rights in the case of France, and sustainable environment in the case of Germany. Second, for all the three countries, the most frequent factor among the three is cognitive one, followed by normative and then relational factors. Third, United Kingdom is described as a country of social unrest and conflict as well as a democratic country with long history and tradition. Fourth, France is described as a country of respect/abuse of human rights, potential for high tech industry, and largest agricultural state in Europe. Fifth, Germany is described more as a country of a leading country for global environmental protection than as a country with electronic and information technology.
