This is the review of 2,500 cases on the trend analysis of technology and market. We find the fact that the patterns of trend analysis are defined by the purpose and size of the series and analysis, not by the difference of experience, educational background, country or organization. Based on these facts, we define 14 types of the analysis of technology and market. Also we conceptualize several patterns of the analysis in methodology, techniques, analytical index, structure, information source and the value by types of trend analysis.

As the Kyoto Protocol will come into effect starting February 2005, 55 member countries of the Conference of Parties of the Framework Convention on Climate Change (FCCC) will be under obligation to reduce the emissions of Carbon Dioxide $(CO_2)$ by 5.2 Percent from the 1990 levels before the year 2012. Hence the development of technology to prepare for this has been accelerated in Korea. The effect of technology varies with market size of technology, and it is necessary to control technology development period, according to the size and trend of technology market. Moreover it is essential that market analysis be finished before technology development, because market on the $(CO_2)$ Reduction and Sequestration Technology expands internationally. For that reason, it is needed to analyze domestic market and to consider technology development strategy according to analysis results. In this paper, we analyzed the domestic industry and forecasted the market size, both related to the Reduction and Sequestration Technology on $(CO_2)$ emission, which is the major component of global Green House Gas(GHG).

여러 세대가 공존하는 다세대 기술 시장의 경우 성능, 가격 및 진입시점 등의 조정을 통해 다양한 진입모드가 가능하므로, 다세대 기술의 시장진입모드에 대한 이해가 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 다세대 기술의 시장진입모드에 대해 기술, 시간, 성능(또는 가격)의 다차원 관점에서 개념에 대해 정의하고, 다양한 진입모드의 종류에 대해 모형을 제시하고자 하였다. 문헌리뷰를 통해 다세대 기술의 시장진입모드의 정의 및 종류에 대한 모형을 제시하였고, 도출한 모형의 정합성을 반도체 및 스마트폰 시장 사례를 바탕으로 검증하였다. 다세대 기술의 시장진입모드는 6가지 종류(중간 성능 및 일찍 진입 모드, 높은 성능 및 일찍 진입 모드, 낮은 성능 및 일찍 진입 모드, 중간 성능 및 늦게 진입 모드, 높은 성능 및 늦게 진입 모드, 낮은 성능 및 늦게 진입 모드)로 모형화가 가능하였다. 본 연구를 토해 도출한 시장진입모드의 정의 및 종류에 대한 모형은 다세대 기술의 시장진입모드를 이해하는데 유용할 것이고, 다세대 기술 외에도 다른 특성의 시장에서도 적용 가능할 것이다.

The study examines how foreign capital inflows affect stock market development in Pakistan for the period from July 2008 to June 2018. Several components of foreign capital inflows were used for empirical analysis, namely, foreign direct investment, foreign portfolio investment, and remittances. Further, market capitalization was used as a proxy for stock market development. The study uses an ARDL model for examining the long-run and short-run relationships between variables. We also analyze the bi-directional causality between the variables through the Granger causality test. Further, the presence of structural breaks was analyzed through the CUSUM and CUSUM Square test. The results suggest that in the long run, remittances have a positive and significant relationship with stock market development. However, foreign direct investment, foreign portfolio investment, and USD-PKR exchange rate do not have a significant impact on stock market development. The results also suggest that in the short run there is a negative relationship between FDI, USD-PKR exchange rate and market capitalization. Contrarily, we found a positive relationship between FPI and market capitalization. The results of Granger causality test suggest that remittances and USD-PKR exchange rate have a causal relationship with stock market development. Finally, we found no evidence of structural breaks in the dataset.

본 연구에서는 시장접근법 기반의 기술가치평가를 위한 원리적인 개념 모형을 제안한다. 하나의 기술이 기술성과 사업성을 기초로 기술가치를 부여받고, 다시 그 기술가치가 시장가치로 전이되는 개념모형을 제시하고 그 논리적인 타당성을 논의한다. 기술대가 지불방식의 두 가지 형태인 정액기술료 및 경상기술료 방식 각각에 대해, 기술-기술가치-시장가치 전이모형을 구성하는 구체적인 요인들을 식별하고 측정방식을 분석함으로써 구체화된 시장접근법 기반 기술가치평가 개념 모형을 개발한다. 더불어 본 연구에서 제안하는 개념 모형을 이용하여 기술가치평가의 세 가지 접근법인 비용-소득-시장접근법간의 관계를 설명할 수 있음을 보인다.

Small and medium enterprises need a wide range of information regarding technologies, industries, market conditions, other companies, and products to facilitate identification of new growth opportunities and to respond quickly to changes in the business environment. Collecting such information, however, requires the input of resources (human resources, cost, and time), and the lack of marketability resulting from the shortage of such resources is often cited as the reason small and medium often fail in their effort to commercialize their technology. The purpose of this study was to analyze the environmental factors such as market concentration and the current level of competition to enable companies to make the necessary decisions when considering market entry following R&D planning and technology commercialization, or after the development of a new product. Also, an expert-based 5FORCE analysis can be performed using the KMAPS, an industry and market intelligence system: this facilitates automatic production of analyses based on the corporate finance and transaction data. The key contribution of the study is that it facilitates conveniently and quickly analyzing the 5 Forces, which had been a difficult task in the environmental analysis, and that the outcomes of this study empower companies in the decision-making process.

To decrease Europe's harmful emissions, the European Union aims to substantially increase its offshore wind energy capacity. To further develop offshore wind energy, investment in ever-larger construction vessels is necessary. However, this market is characterised by seemingly unpredictable growth of market demand, turbine capacity and distance from shore. Currently it is difficult to deal with such market uncertainty within the ship design process. This research aims to develop a method that is able to deal with market uncertainty in early ship design by increasing knowledge when design freedom is still high. The method uses uncertainty modelling prior to the requirement definition stage by performing global research into the market, and during the concept design stage by iteratively co-evolving the vessel design and business case in parallel. The method consists of three parts; simulating an expected market from data, modelling multiple vessel designs, and an uncertainty model that evaluates the performance of the vessels in the market. The case study into offshore wind foundation installation vessels showed that the method can provide valuable insight into the effect of ship parameters like main dimensions, crane size and ship speed on the performance in an uncertain market. These results were used to create a value robust design, which is capable of handling uncertainty without changes to the vessel. The developed method thus provides a way to deal with market uncertainty in the early ship design process.

The purpose of this paper is to empirically investigate the relationships between market environments and technology strategy using the data gathered from Korean manufacturing firms. As the significant environmental factors influencing company's technology strategy, two sorts of market aspects are considered; market competition factor and technological dynamics factor. And companies are categorized with respect to the characteristics of market environments they are facing with. Then we seek to find the differences in the contents of technology strategy among the companies in different types of environments through statistical analysis. As a result, it is found that there exist significant relationships between the companies' technology strategy and the environments facing firms.

This study investgates Korean water technology through the water market perspective and analyses its competitiveness. Based on the water technology classification, water technology competitiveness is analysed through the technological influence index and market dominance index which are based on the extracted water technology patents from the US, Europe, Korea, and Japan for the last decade. As a result, the Korean water technology patents were lack in influence and competitiveness in global market considering the large volume of patents. There are two most tech-influential industries in Korea; manufacturing industry consisting pipes, sterilization, disinfection, and advanced water purification equipment, and construction industry including seawater desalination and water resource development. Due to the domestic usage of the patents, the Korean water technology patents scored low in global market PFS(Patent Family Size) index compared to their CPP(Cites Per Patent) index. The study is meaningful in a way that the analysis on Korean water technology competitiveness using water technology classification system and patent analysis was conducted based on the perspective of the global water market.

Technology measurement is related with how to construct indicators of technological change and relative ranking of technological sophistication. Many attempts have been made to understand the measurement of technology. However, technology measurement still remains little understood problem in spite of its importance. This article is concerned with improving the measurement of technology by introducing market factors into the model. It illustrate a simple approach to the measurement of technology. This approach is based on the characteristic-space paradigm of technology. A relative ranking of technological sophistication for a product is measurable as a set of characteristics. The main feature of the proposed approach is the combination of technical factors and market factors. Technical factors are reflected in the definition of technological sophistication. Market factors are embraced in the determination of the relative importance assigned to each technology defining characteristics. Thus, the weight is determined by technical factors and market factors, which differentiates the study from the past based on judgmental technique such as experts' opinion.
