  • This paper introduces not only what the ST-IT convergent technology is, but also the present technological status of ST and IT in order that the ST-IT convergent technology may not be a simple topic of conversation but a key word of our country's new growth engine. This paper also describes a development direction for the technology convergence as some dynamic changes can be anticipated to create the new value and market because the wall between technologies and industries may be broken down due to the development of STIT convergent technology in the future.

  • Owing to the increase in the elderly population at aquaculture farm and decrease in the number of aquaculture farmers, the need to improve aquaculture production system is increasing. In addition, asvirtual interactions become new normal after COVID-19 pandemic, the speed at which science and technology such as the internet of things (IoT), information and communications technology (ICT), and artificial intelligence (AI) are applied to each field is accelerating. Efforts are being made to enhance the quality of life of aquaculture farmer and competitiveness of the aquaculture industry by incorporating digital technology. This study analyzed national and global aquaculture technology development and policy trends, smart aquaculture terminology application scenarios, and prior research cases to propose smart aquaculture industrialization models and technology development directions considering technology, economy, and environment. This study can also provide valuable reference for promoting smart and efficient development of aquaculture.

  • As the construction technology is rapidly advancing internationally, the necessity of virtual construction technology development is drastically demanded in the construction industry together with a fusion technology with information technology(IT). The construction technology will be changed as the paradigm of construction technology in the future. The establishment of building structural system in the virtual construction basis is necessary for the integration of construction process, and it will be expected to produce the effect of reduction of construction period and quality improvement through the environment of integration. This study is to present the analysis of the existing process of structural design, the content of research & development as per the building structural system on virtual construction basis and the direction of research.

  • North Korea's science and technology policies are being pursued under strong leadership and control by the central government. In particular, a large part of the research and development of science and technology related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution in North Korea is controlled and absorbed by the defense organizations under the national defense-oriented policy framework, among which North Korea is making national efforts to develop advanced technologies in artificial intelligence and actively utilize them in the military affairs. The future weapon system based on AI will have superior performance and destructive power that is different from modern weapons systems, which is likely to change the paradigm of the future battlefield, so a thorough analysis and prediction of the level of AI militarization technology, the direction of development, and AI-based weapons system in North Korea is needed. In addition, research and development of South Korea's corresponding weapon systems and military science and technology are strongly required as soon as possible. Therefore, in this paper, we will analyze the level of AI technology, the direction of AI militarization, and the AI-based weapons system in North Korea, and discuss the AI military technology and corresponding weapon systems that South Korea military must research and develop to counter the North Korea's. The next study will discuss the analysis of AI militarization technologies not only in North Korea but also in neighboring countries in Northeast Asia such as China and Russia, as well as AI weapon systems by battlefield function, detailed core technologies, and research and development measures.

  • This paper introduces the outline of the ongoing G-7 project for the development of vibration and noise analysis and reduction technology for the Korea High Speed Train which will run at 350km/h. Extensively collected materials and data on the vibration and noise characteristics of high speed trains are summarized herein to reduce the research direction.

  • This study which aimed to propose development directions for the future housing through the social change tries to predict the change of the future. Establish directions for planning of concept-Sustainability. Human-friendliness. High Technology and, with reference to case study and literature judge feasibility of them.   • In the direction and location finding field of application, AOA, TDOA and FDOA, etc. are used to improve the performance of geolocation. But, these methods cause some limitations such as the calibrations for phase and amplitude matching and precise time synchronization among receiving channels. In this paper, We suggest a method for generating FDOA using rotating antenna and the geolocation of stationary emitter using two receivers in one platform for minimizing the limitations. We present performance of simulation results and test results of the FDOA geolocation system. The direction finding errors of the system are less than $0.1^{\circ}$ rms and the distance errors are less than 3 % compared with the practical distance.

  • This paper is about strategies for developing information and telecommunications standardization experts(ITSEs). For an analysis of current status of ITSEs or development of strategies for education and utilization of ITSEs, it is necessary to classify the types and roles of ITSEs. The classification of ITSEs can be made standardization technology field, characteristics of expert field, and activity domain. It is necessary to remind the ever growing importance of development and utilization of ITSEs. Furthrmore, More importanct is to set right direction and strategies with valid alternatives to enhance the importance. Correct direction setting, right problem-mindedness, long-term perspective, periodical evaluations are crucial to the policy of further development and utilization of ITSEs.

  • An airborne-based Direction-Finding System is developed for the application of ELINT and ES(Electronic Support). The system takes the phase-comparison technology, and has the configuration of multi-based antenna array for the solution of ambiguity due to the increased Direction-Finding resolution. This thesis describes the design of optimized distances among antennas, the electrical characteristics, the method of compensation, the direction-finding accuracy, and et. al. under the condition of the airborne-based environment.

A Study on the Development of Korean Film Technology in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4 산업혁명 시대의 한국영화기술 발전방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to establish the direction of development of Korean cinematography technology in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and present future development plan. First, in order to diagnose the current status, supporting policies of various countries and film technology research trends were analyzed. Each country is expanding the support for film technology including tax credits. Through the analysis of patents and research papers, recent issues have shown that Virtual Reality, HMD, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data are applied to film technology. Next, the survey results of Korean film technology level for filmmakers were 70% for production, 47.5% for distribution, and 60.3% for screening comparing to the level of the leading country. The gap was caused by the lack of funds for research and development and insufficient government support policies. In addition, interviews with film makers revealed the need to support filmmaking that combines technologies such as localized film technology, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. Finally, it is suggested that technology sharing platform should be developed in the future through the discussions of technology, science and academic experts', and technology development should be carried out in the field. As a result, film technology R&D should be promoted in order to develop technologies specific to movies. Advanced technology foundation for the growth of film technology should be developed to systematically equip the infrastructures such as education and human resources. In addition, technology development that links standardization should be carried out. In this study, we propose the development of Korean film technology to prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution, and it is expected that the 2022 film technology power nation will be realized.
