  • Substantial research has been performed on the data standards and exchanges in the AEC/FM industry over the past several years. The growing popularity of BIM technology is based heavily upon a perception that the technology can facilitate the sharing and reuse of information during a project life-cycle. Although many researchers and practitioners are in agreement about the potential applicability and benefit of BIM in construction, it is still unclear why BIM is adopted, and what factors enhance implementation of BIM. Thus, BIM acceptance and use remains a central concern of BIM research and practice. Therefore, we propose the key factors affecting the acceptance of BIM in construction organizations using factor analysis. The key factors for BIM acceptance are identified through a literature review in TAM (Davis 1989) and related theories, and consolidated by interviews and pilot studies with professionals in construction industry. Based on the factors, a questionnaire was designed and sent out to construction organizations such as contractors, architects, and engineers in Korea. Total 148 completed questionnaires were retrieved. Using factor analysis, key factors were grouped into six dimensions. These findings will clarify what the highly prioritized factors are, and can also be used in an assessment tool for the performance of BIM utilization.

  • t Global logistics companies are developing and introducing logistics systems to provide competitive logistics services. Especially as IT develops and mobile functions become more convenient, the Mobile TMS(Transportation Management System) is being introduced as a more convenient system for delivery workers and office managers. However, the success of such a system depends on the system developer who understand the site accurately and office managers and couriers who are using it in the field. The purpose of this paper is to understand which characteristics influence in exploiting new systems focusing on the attitudes of users who use the system daily, and we analyze it through the TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). According to the analysis result, when smart phone has become popular, users have concluded that usefulness is more significant than ease in acceptance of the systems. As a result, we draw suggestions that the focus should be on usefulness rather than ease of system at the stage of system developed.

  • The technology acceptance model(TAM) has been widely studied in IS research and Internet has been expanded very rapidly in modern society. The purpose of this study is to provide an internet acceptance model and test it empirically. This study extends the TAM model and motivation theory by adding gender. This model posits that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness correlate with Internet use, Test results are as follows: First, the survey suggested the three factors-perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived playfulness-affect the use of Internet. Second, Difference just appeared in case of perceived use of use between genders but not others-perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness. Third, the result represented that there was nothing that affected the use of Internet by itself among the three factors-perceived usefulness, ease of use and playfulness and perceived usefulness used gender as a moderated variable in the case of the use of Internet.

  • The UTAUT was presented as a comprehensive of eight existing theories to improve the limit of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and it has been also utilizing in various fields related to acceptance and diffusion of new technology. In this study, we analyzed factors utilized in UTAUT through meta-analysis, and confirms the consistency of the model. We presented the principal factors and the additional factors. Moreover, we presented differences and suggestions through comparative analysis with previous researches. The meta-analysis showed that satisfaction, hedonic motivation, attitude, perceived enjoyment showed a important factors as additional factors. Based on this result, we presented an extended UTAUT model. In the case of Korea studies, it was found that increasing the degree of behavior intention is the most important factor leading to use behavior. The results of this research will be able to support researchers who research the acceptance and diffusion of new technologies, and companies trying to launch new products.

  • Purpose This study employed the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to understand students' acceptance of online learning systems. Specifically, this study investigated the factors influencing the behavioral intention of South Korean major university students to use online learning systems for educational purposes in the period when their university life had largely returned to the state it was in before the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach This study examined the impact of four external factors: self-efficacy, personal innovativeness, perceived enjoyment, and system quality, on two TAM constructs: perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Additionally, this study explored how perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness affect the behavioral intention to use online learning systems. We conducted an online-based survey using a structured questionnaire. The data collected from the survey were then subjected to Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis to test the study's hypotheses and examine the relationships among the various constructs. Findings The findings reveal that perceived usefulness and ease of use significantly influence students' behavioral intentions to use online learning systems. Furthermore, factors of self-efficacy, perceived enjoyment, and system quality positively affect perceived usefulness and ease of use. Notably, personal innovativeness impacts ease of use but not perceived usefulness.

  • Recently, the use of digital contents and demand have been increased with expanding users of internet. Thus, the importance of digital contents distribution site's has been increased that deal in commercially. The model that measuring acceptance of web sites is studying lively, however, the web sites that dealing and distributing specific goods to be called digital contents have insufficient theoretical base and model about acceptance of customers. Also, the research that acceptance of existing commercial web sites have limitation to explain systematically which influence on acceptance of digital contents distribution sites. Because, those research connect directly the feature of web sites, the purchase of web sites or the feature of buyers and acceptance. For that reason, it's hard to reflect the feature of digital contents. In this research, to measure customers' acceptance of web sites that distribute digital image, it is based on Technology Acceptance Model by Davis. This research find out the significant cause from survey by users of digital image distribution site. and TAM which has been adapted the analyzation of new site's acceptance can explain the state of digital image distribution site use. This research let us know the evaluation of digital image distribution site and operating strategy as a new business model.

  • In this study, we propose a virtual community recommendation model based on user behavioral models. It is designed to recommend optimal virtual communities for an active user by applying case-based reasoning (CBR) using behavioral factors suggested in the technology acceptance model (TAM) and its extensions. Also, it is designed to filter its case-base by considering the user's needs type before applying CBR. To test the usefulness of our model, we conduct two-step validation - experimental validation for the collected data, and survey validation for investigating the actual satisfaction level. Experimental results show that our model presents effective recommendation results in an efficient way. In addition, they also show that the information on the user's needs type may generate opportunities for cross-selling other commercial items.
