전자상거래하에서의 전자서명의 보안성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Transaction Security of Electronic Signature in the Electronic Commerce)

  • 전자문서 전자영수증 대금결제 서명 및 상호인증 등 전자상거래의 거의 모든 영역에서 사용되고 있는 전자서명의 경우에는 특히, 거래 상대방을 확인할 수 있는 확인 절차와 더불어 안전하고 신뢰성 있는 보안시스템의 구축을 위한 암호화가 필요하게 된다. 따라서 전자서명의 일반적 고찰과 관련하여 각국에서 제정되고 있는 법규는 물론 전자서명에 따른 보안문제를 고찰하고자 한다.

  • e-Learning 시장은 급속도로 성장할 잠재력을 가지고 있는 반면 이와 관련한 정책적 제도는 아직까지 미흡한 실정이다. e-Learning 서비스를 이용하는 소비자들은 상대적으로 저연령의 특징을 가지고 있으며, 기존 사교육인 학원 등과 병행하여 이용되고 있고, 지출비용은 평균 4만원 정도로 나타났다. e-Learning 이용경험자들은 비교적 만족하고 있으나 계약 및 해약과정, 이용요금 분야에서는 상대적으로 만족 수준이 낮았다. 특히, e-Learning을 이용함에 있어서 소비자의 과거 피해경험 여부가 소비자의 만족도에 상당한 영향을 주고 있는 것으로 분석되어 e-Learning 사업자들의 소비자보호가 상당히 중요한 요인으로 대두되고 있음을 보여 주었다.

  • Based on the safety of irradiated foods which was demonstrated from the toxicological, microbiological and nutritional points of view, irradiation has been identified as a viable technology for food preservation and processing, having a potential both of reducing storage losses by controlling spoilage organisms, sprouting and ripening, and of improving hygienic quality of raw and processed products. Research and development over decades in the field of food irradiation have led to the regulatory approval in 37 countries and of them 25 countries including Korea are commercially utilizing food irradiation process. Although progress towards acceptance of food irradiation by the industry is slow, actual market trials have shown that once consumers have understood this technology, they are willing to buy irradiated foods. Considering recent advances in food irradiation and restrictions in the use of chemical fumigants, it is expected that food irradiation is in the process of "taking off". This paper deals with up-to-date progress in food irradiation with particular reference to domestic activities in legislation, consumer perception, commercialization, and potential applications in the food industry.

Gender influence in the effect of design aesthetics on perceived product value of wearables

  • Recently the wearable technologies market has diversified to the point where even the leading fashion brands have adopted prototypes. For this reason, consumer- and fashion-centric perspectives on the consumption of wearable technologies are needed for a better understanding of the market. The author tests the effect of design aesthetics of a fictitious smartwatch (i.e., the wearable technology) as a key factor of non-functional hedonic consumption on consumer-perceived product value. The results of an online survey of 233 U.S. shoppers indicate a strong, positive effect of design aesthetics on both the perceived utilitarian and hedonic values of wearable technologies. Furthermore, the hypothesized moderation of gender is statistically confirmed in the mechanism of design aesthetics toward perceived utilitarian value, but gender is found to not moderate the effect of design aesthetics for the smartwatch on hedonic value. Male shoppers are found to be more positively influenced by perceived design aesthetics. Theoretical and managerial implications and study limitations are further discussed.

Sampling Plans Based on Truncated Life Test for a Generalized Inverted Exponential Distribution

  • In this paper, we propose a two-stage group acceptance sampling plan for generalized inverted exponential distribution under truncated life test. Median life is considered as a quality parameter. Design parameters are obtained to ensure that true median life is longer than a given specified life at certain level of consumer's risk and producer's risk. We also explore situations under which design parameters based on median lifetime can be used for other percentile points. Tables and specific examples are reported to explain the proposed plans. Finally a real data set is analyzed to implement the plans in practical situations and some suggestions are given.

식품산업에서 활용되는 식품안전 분석기술의 현황 (Food safety analytical techniques used in food industry)

  • Recently, the importance of analytical techniques related to food safety is emerging in the food industry due to changes in diet patterns, environmental changes, climate change and consumer's interest in food safety. In particular, food safety accidents in the food industry may cause economic losses such as media reports, product recalls, consumer distrust, and so on. Therefore, a systematic, proactive and comprehensive food safety management system is increasingly required to prevent food safety issues. Efforts to ensure the reliability of food safety are essential by introducing various analysis instruments such as LC, GC, ICP, LC/MS/MS, GC/MS/MS, ICP/MS, PCR, and RT-PCR. In addition, recent food safety analytical techniques used in food industry should be shifted paradigm by developing multi-component simultaneous analytical method, low cost with high efficient analytical method, and eco-friendly method.

Suggestion of a Strategy for Fashion Customization Services -An Integrated Perspective of Narcissism and Brand Prestige-

  • Many fashion brands provide sophisticated customization services with advanced technology. Previous studies have revealed that a high level of customization aided by technology positively influences purchase intention. However, since fashion products are society-approved symbols, brand prestige and consumer propensity are expected to affect purchase behavior of customized products. This study aims to identify the purchase decision mechanism of customized products by identifying the relationships among self-expression, brand prestige, narcissistic disposition, and purchase intention. An online survey was conducted on 220 Korean women in their 20s and 30s with customization experience. The results of the data analysis showed that the affluent customization area and narcissistic disposition positively affected purchase intention. Surprisingly, when brand prestige was high and narcissistic disposition was low, the more affluent the customization area, the higher the purchase intention. However, for higher narcissistic disposition, no significant relationship was found between the customization area and purchase intention. This study provides insights into discriminatory customization strategies based on consumer propensity and the brand prestige level when providing customization services in fashion brands.

A Study on Gamification Consumer Perception Analysis Using Big Data

  • The purpose of the study was to analyze consumers' perceptions of gamification. Based on the analyzed data, we would like to provide data by systematically organizing the concept, game elements, and mechanisms of gamification. Recently, gamification can be easily found around medical care, corporate marketing, and education. This study collected keywords from social media portal sites Naver, Daum, and Google from 2018 to 2023 using TEXTOM, a social media analysis tool. In this study, data were analyzed using text mining, semantic network analysis, and CONCOR analysis methods. Based on the collected data, we looked at the relevance and clusters related to gamification. The clusters were divided into a total of four clusters: 'Awareness of Gamification', 'Gamification Program', 'Future Technology of Gamification', and 'Use of Gamification'. Through social media analysis, we want to investigate and identify consumers' perceptions of gamification use, and check market and consumer perceptions to make up for the shortcomings. Through this, we intend to develop a plan to utilize gamification.

Promotion or Prevention? The Moderating Effect of Embedded External Reviews on Consumer Evaluations

  • Given the increasing information overload among users of online review websites, understanding the manner in which cognitive costs are reduced and efficient information is made reliable has become increasingly important. This study targets a unique consumer review design and explores how reviews from an external peer-to-peer site embedded in an online travel agency (OTA) website influence subsequent evaluation behaviors. The empirical results indicate that (1) embedded external reviews with a high average valence tend to strengthen the influence of the positive evaluation ratio while diminishing the effect of the review volume, and (2) embedded external reviews with a large variance strengthen the positive effect of the review volume while weakening the effect of the positive evaluation ratio on subsequent positive evaluations. The findings provide practical insights for consumers and online platforms.

대체연료 자동차에 대한 소비자 선호 분석을 통한 산업전략과 기술정책에 관한 연구 (Analysis on the business strategy and policy for the alternative fuel vehicle : Using stated preference data)

  • In this paper, we attempt to analyze consumer preference for the alternative-fuel vehicles based on data from a stated preference using the conjoint analysis. Five possible fuel types (gasoline, diesel, CNG, LPG, Hybrid (electricity+gasoline)) are covered in conjoint cards. To estimate and analyze consumer preference, discrete choice model is used. Specifically, Bayesian mixed logit model is used. Based on estimating results, we discuss the business strategy and policy for the alternative fuel vehicle.
