A Study of Analytical Sensitivity on TDM Test Kit in Clinical Chemistry (약물검사 키트의 분석 민감도에 대한 연구)

  • Analytical sensitivity on TDM test is the lowest concentration that can be distinguished from background noise. The aim of study was to evaluate analytical sensitivity that is also referred to as the lower limit of detection(LLD) about difference between zero calibrator and isotonic saline sample. We tested for 10 days with zero calibrators and 0.85% saline samples while running trilevel control samples under control. Raw data divided by two groups calculated mean and standard deviation from two sample populations and analytical sensitivity by ${\bar{X}}+2SD$. In comparison with isotonic saline samples and zero calibrators, there were significant differences in phenytoin, phenobarbital and vancomycin, etc. Especially analytical sensitivity on phenytoin is at the same level as the upper limit of analytical measurement range with $40{\mu}g/mL$. We think the cause of this is matrix interference. In conclusion, we were sure that standard protocol for analytical sensitivity as lower limit of analytical measurement range on TDM test must be measured with zero standard rather than an isotonic saline sample and type 1 reagent DW for reducing matrix effects within interactions between different materials in a mixture.

  • Information services adopting RSS(Really Simple Syndication) is on an increase. It is replacing the existing email services. Information in the area of science and technology is of vast amount and various area and their life-cycle and service is complex. Institutions providing information of a single area are not faced with many obstacles in designing information services using RSS in acquiring a channel for the service. However, RSS service in the area of science and technology has to be more specific in designing and implementing the services. In this study, RSS is compared with other information service protocols, domestic and international trends in the area of RSS is analyzed to implement the RSS based Science and Technology information service system(STI-RSS) and its service.

  • Recently, convergence phenomena among industries are appeared with the rapid development of information and communication technology and technology convergence also is emerging as a key issue. Especially, geospatial information industry may be expected to conduct a role as a pioneer in this convergence era. In order to do this, all fields of geospatial information should be classified systematically and interoperability and compatibility among geospatial information systems should be acquired. In this paper, a technical reference model of intelligent geospatial information is proposed to show a hierarchical technical system in the field of geospatial information. The model is developed with five core research projects of Korean Land Spatialization Group (KLSG) and includes also the scope and importance of core technology in the system. The model would be helpful to manage and control all projects of KLSG.

The Effects of Information Search on New Product Development Process and Performance (정보탐색이 신제품개발 과정 및 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study empirically investigates the effects of information search on new product development (NPD) process and performance with a sample of 82 NPD projects in 5 firms. The information search is consisted of general sources, internal sources, and external sources. The performance is consisted of technological and market performance. Findings show that information search from internal sources increases the technological knowledge of the NPD team, and information search from external sources increases the market knowledge of the NPD team. The technological and market knowledge of the NPD team increases its technical performance respectively. Only the market knowledge of the NPD team increases its market performance. Overall, the technological knowledge of the NPD team fully mediates the relationship between the information search from internal sources and its technical performance. The market knowledge of the NPD team fully mediates the relationship between the information search from external sources and its technical performance, and the relationship between the information search from external sources and its market performance. There is no other significant mediation relationships between the information searches and the performances. Implications of the research findings are discussed, and recommendation for future research are provided.

  • Research on RSS(Really Simple Syndication) based application and services are being deployed both domestically and internationally. The RSS service in the area of science and technology should be flexible to the various sources of information as well as the various platform and environments that they are being serviced. It also requires a standardized system to meet the above needs. We have analyzed the use of RSS services overseas as well as domestic services to suggest the implementation of standard system for the syndication of science and technology information based on RSS.

The Effect of Information Protection Control Activities on Organizational Effectiveness : Mediating Effects of Information Application (정보보호 통제활동이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향 : 정보활용의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study was designed to empirically analyze the effect of control activities(physical, managerial and technical securities) of information protection on organizational effectiveness and the mediating effects of information application. The result was summarized as follows. First, the effect of control activities(physical, technical and managerial securities) of information protection on organizational effectiveness showed that the physical, technical and managerial security factors have a significant positive effect on the organizational effectiveness(p < .01). Second, the effect of control activities(physical, technical and managerial securities) of information protection on information application showed that the technical and managerial security factors have a significant positive effect on the information application(p < .01). Third, the explanatory power of models, which additionally put the information protection control activities(physical, technical and managerial securities) and the interaction variables of information application to verify how the information protection control activities( physical, technical and managerial security controls) affecting the organizational effectiveness are mediated by the information application, was 50.6%~4.1% additional increase. And the interaction factor(${\beta}$ = .148, p < .01) of physical security and information application, and interaction factor(${\beta}$ = .196, p < .01) of physical security and information application among additionally-put interaction variables, were statistically significant(p < .01), indicating the information application has mediated the relationship between physical security and managerial security factors of control activities, and organizational effectiveness. As for results stated above, it was proven that physical, technical and managerial factors as internal control activities for information protection are main mechanisms affecting the organizational effectiveness very significantly by information application. In information protection control activities, the more all physical, technical and managerial security factors were efficiently well performed, the higher information application, and the more information application was efficiently controlled and mediated, which it was proven that all these three factors are variables for useful information application. It suggested that they have acted as promotion mechanisms showing a very significant result on the internal customer satisfaction of employees, the efficiency of information management and the reduction of risk in the organizational effectiveness for information protection by the mediating or difficulty of proved information application.

  • Upon completion of this study it became evident that users are more satisfied with information service with systematic arrangement, accessibility, updatedness, and abundance of information in the Scientific & Technical Library as well as skillfullness of librarians with academic background in the Library and Information Science. It is suggested that the Scientific & Technical Library carry out their missions on information networks with outside organizations using database systems.

  • This study purpose to investigate the information needs of researcher necessary for portal service development in the science and technical library analyze the present status of information service and present the fundamental data. We collected the question survey targeted to member of science and technical library and the statistics data about information service and analyzed it for study method. The result of this study indicates that researchers in science field use mostly their library Web homepage for obtaining necessary information and use meta search service frequently And they consented the necessity of Academic information co-ownership activity and intended to join this activity.
