This study analyzed the determinants of high-growth firms using the technology appraisal data of the Korea Technology Finance Corporation. This study is differentiated from previous studies for three reasons. First, it analyzed the determinants of firms that will grow into high-growth firms in the future, not the characteristics of current high-growth firms. Second, it analyzed high-growth firms by dividing them in two aspects: sales and employment. In other words, they were divided into three types: the case in which a firm achieves high growth in both sales increase and creation of jobs, the case in which a firm achieves high growth in creation of jobs but low growth in sales increase, and the case in which a firm achieves high growth in only sales increase but low growth in creation of jobs. Third, this study applied the technology appraisal indicators of Kibo Technology Rating System(KTRS) by the Korea Technology Finance Corporation as the explanatory variable. As a result of analysis, it was found that a firm achieved high growth in both sales and employment if the position in the technology life cycle was appropriate and the technology readiness level was high. However, it turned out that the management system of technical manpower had conflicting effects on high growth of employment and sales. In other words, a firm that had well managed its technical manpower achieved high growth in terms of employment, but rather showed low growth in terms of sales. This result suggests the inference that firms showing high growth in employment may appear mainly in the high-tech industry where management of technical manpower is important. Accordingly, as a result of adding dummy variables that represent whether or not firms are in the high-tech industry, it was found that the result supported the inference, as firms in the high-tech industry were highly likely to achieve high growth in employment.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the radiographic positioning techniques used in local animal hospitals, identify the most common positioning problem, and determine whether there were changes after teleradiology consultations. From September 2016 to April 2021, 15 local animal hospitals that requested radiographic interpretation more than 10 times and for more than six cases of thoracic radiographs were selected. Six sets of two-views of (lateral and ventrodorsal [VD] or dorsoventral [DV] views) digital thoracic radiographs from six dogs per hospital were evaluated in four categories. For the lateral view, radiographic technique scores used in ten local animal hospitals improved, one remained the same, and four became worse. For the VD/DV view, the score for eleven hospitals improved and worsened for four. The most common problem was rotation (57/90) for the lateral view, followed by an inappropriate field of view (59/90), and incorrect beam center (71/90). For the VD/DV view, an inappropriate field of view (54/90) was the most common problem, followed by asymmetry (63/90), and incorrect beam center (73/90). Every factor, except rotation in the lateral view, improved after obtaining technical consultation; however, the degrees of improvement were not remarkable. There was no significant correlation between the number of requests and the degree of improvement. According to the results, the radiographic technique used in local animal hospitals was improved by technical advice on teleradiology. These changes make it possible to provide accurate diagnoses of the requested images. There are some limitations regarding the indicators of evaluation and the number of cases; therefore, further studies that use detailed indicators in large cohort group are needed. In addition, an effective method of teaching should be developed to improve radiographic techniques in local animal hospitals.

Recently, many companies have been very interested in CRM(Customer Relationship Management). Most companies have been also considering the contact center as a key CRM channel, because it is a contact point between customers and companies. It turns out that the contact center handles over 70% of all customer-company interactions and the success or failure of a company can be determined by the customer satisfaction with contact center experiences. Despite of the strategic importance of the contact center, there has been few empirical study on the efficiency of contact center operations in the literature. One of the main purposes of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of contact centers so as to not only identify the current status of contact center operations, but also suggest ways to improve operational efficiency. For this purpose, we apply a non-parametric efficiency measurement method, DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis), to 57 domestic contact centers in order to compare their relative efficiency. It is expected that the measurement methods suggested in this study can be applied to various issues such as service KS certification, outsourcing service management, and the productivity analysis of service personnel.

Since lamb is a commodity, producers cannot control the price of the product they sell. Therefore, managing production costs is a necessity. We explored the study of elasticities as a tool for basing decision-making in sheep production, and aimed at investigating the composition and elasticities of lamb production costs, and their influence on the performance of the activity. A representative sheep production farm, designed in a panel meeting, was the base for calculation of lamb production cost. We then performed studies of: i) costs composition, and ii) cost elasticities for prices of inputs and for zootechnical indicators. Variable costs represented 64.15% of total cost, while 21.66% were represented by operational fixed costs, and 14.19% by the income of the factors. As for elasticities to input prices, the opportunity cost of land was the item to which production cost was more sensitive: a 1% increase in its price would cause a 0.2666% increase in lamb cost. Meanwhile, the impact of increasing any technical indicator was significantly higher than the impact of rising input prices. A 1% increase in weight at slaughter, for example, would reduce total cost in 0.91%. The greatest obstacle to economic viability of sheep production under the observed conditions is low technical efficiency. Increased production costs are more related to deficient zootechnical indexes than to high expenses.

This paper estimated the technical specialization of UAV system by analyzing related patents. For that, variable indicators such as patent numbers regarding country, subsystem technic, periods and revealed number of patents are used in this paper. RPA and PII index are also used to estimate technical specialization of the coutry. Positive RPA value means superior competitiveness, and vice versa. PII means the quality of the patent. PII value more than 1 means that the quality of the patent is better than others, Otherwise the quality of the patent is worse. This paper estimated the specialization of technologies among countries using above two index.

The purpose of this study is to develop a framework for evaluating security levels in hospitals. We classify security indicators into administrative, technical and physical safeguards. The security evaluation model for hospital information systems was applied to three general hospitals. The analysis of the results showed a low security level in information systems. In particular, requirements for administrative and physical safeguards were very low. Hospitals need strict security policies more than other organizations because their information systems contain patients' highly confidential data. The evaluation model developed in this study can be used for guidelines and as a checklist for hospitals. The security evaluation in hospital informational systems needs to be an essential element of hospital evaluation.

Hearing loss caused by exposure to industrial machine noise results in devastating disability that is mostly preventable. And recent researches indicate that the noise may also induce hypertension and cardiovascular disease. In addition the sleep polygraph provides many indicators of sleep disturbance by the noise. In this paper we make an analysis on ball bearing machine noise, a kind of the industrial noise. The analysis of Its power spectrum is based on FFT(Fast Fourier Transform). And then the spectral results of the noise are compared with that of the spectrum for an auditory signal. The signal is measured from the pronunciation of two Koreans. Finally we suggest the most important stratagem to prevent the noise for worker's health and efficiency.

Time series analysis methods have been traditionally used in stock price prediction. However, most of the existing methods represent some methodological limitations in reflecting influence from external factors that affect the fluctuation of stock prices, such as oil prices, exchange rates, money interest rates, and the stock price indexes of other countries. To overcome the limitations, we propose a network based method incorporating the relations between the individual company stock prices and the external factors by using a graph-based semi-supervised learning algorithm. For verifying the significance of the proposed method, it was applied to the prediction problems of company stock prices listed in the KOSPI from January 2007 to August 2008.

Attitude is very difficult to be measured directly; therefore it must be inferred frrom assumed relationship with observable indicators. In some aspects, behavior represents the attitude of a person about a thing, person or issue. In this paper a tool has been devised to measure the attitude of contractor in ongoing project. However, the tool has been tested in a completed technical school construction project in Nepal. The results show that the tool can reasonably measure the attitude of the contractors and can be helpful for the owners to control the projects.

공개 경쟁에 의한 제안 업체 선정과 객관적이고 공정한 제안서의 평가는 공공IT 부문에 있어서 성공적인 사업 수행을 위한 필수요소이다. '소프트웨어 기술성 평가기준 적용 가이드'에서는 소프트웨어 기술성 평가기준을 적용하는데 필요한 절차와 단계별 적용방법 및 세부내용 해설과 평가척도 예시를 제시하여 활용이 가능하도록 하였다. 그러나 기술성을 평가하기 위한 평가부문별 평가항목 및 평가기준에 대한 부분이 구체적이지 않아 경쟁력 있는 제안 업체의 기술성을 정확하고 공정하게 평가하는데 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 제안 업체의 기술성을 정확하게 평가하기 위하여 평가요소 중에서 기술 평가요소에 대한 부분을 평가지표로 선정하고 통계 기법으로 평가지표를 검증하는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.
