Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) model of leadership has suggested that members within the same work team are differentiated in terms of their level of the quality of leader member relationships. However, the differentiation in leader member relationships has not been examined for its possible team-level effects. In this study, the possible impact of this role differentiation on team members' affective reactions was explored. As hypothesized, teams whose members experienced higher level of LMX tended to have higher overall job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and team efficacy. Contrary to expectation, however, the team-level mean on LMX was not related with team-level variability on LMX. Based on these findings, several theoretical and practical Implications are discussed.

Purpose:This study was conducted to identify the effects of an action learning based creative problem-solving (CPS) course on problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study applying a non-equivalent control group pre-post design was employed. Sophomore nursing students (32 in the experimental group and 33 in the control group) were recruited from a university in G-city, Korea. Problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange were measured for the pretest and posttest using self-report questionnaires. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and ANCOVA with SPSS/Win 20.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The scores for problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that an action learning based CPS course is an effective teaching method to improve nursing students' competencies. In the future longitudinal studies are needed to assess the long term effects of the course.

This study developed and evaluated a learning model to improve collaborative problem-solving skills for nursing students taking physiology courses. This one-group pretest-posttest design used the jigsaw cooperative learning method on 30 nursing students from one local university. We analyzed the effect of a cooperative problem- solving learning model using SPSS 21.0 to compare changes in the students' collaborative self-efficacy, problem-solving abilities, and team-member exchange. As a result, the participants showed significant increases in collaborative self-efficacy, problem-solving ability, and team-member exchange after experiencing cooperative problem- solving learning model. Therefore, we will help nursing students improve their communication skills by enhancing their collaborative self-efficacy and help them solve problems effectively in conflict situations.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of issue leadership by sales managers on sales team performance, while examining the mediating role of team adaptive sales behavior and the moderating effect of team-member exchange (TMX). Data was collected from 125 sales teams, and both independent and dependent variables were measured with a time difference of two months using responses from sales managers and team members. The empirical analysis revealed several important findings. Firstly, the study found that issue leadership had a significant positive effect on sales team performance. Secondly, team adaptive sales behavior was found to partially mediate the relationship between issue leadership and sales team performance. Lastly, the study revealed that TMX moderated the relationship between issue leadership and sales team performance. These findings have significant academic and practical implications. Firstly, the study demonstrates the effectiveness of issue leadership as a sales leadership style in the B2C industry. Secondly, it highlights the importance of team adaptive sales behavior as a mechanism that mediates the relationship between issue leadership and sales team performance. Lastly, it underscores the significance of TMX as a situational factor that moderates the relationship between issue leadership and sales team performance. In practice, the results suggest that organizations should focus on developing issue leaders, fostering creative sales behavior at the team level, and activating social exchange within sales teams to enhance sales team performance.
Objectives: This study proposes a hypothetical model for job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention through social exchange relations (LMX, TMX) and political skills (LPS) for dental hygienists working in dental clinics hygienists. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire was administered from April 1 to May 12, 2020, with 171 dental clinic hygienists participating in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongnam. The data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis programs. Results: First, in the hypotheses testing, a total of 7 of 18 hypotheses were supported. Second, the relatonship between leader-member exchange (LMX) or team-member exchange (TMX) and turnover intention, a full mediating effect of job stress or job satisfaction or organizational commitment on that exchange was found. However, the leader's political skills on the path to turnover intention were not statistically significant. Conclusions: It is considered that education to enhance job skills, support for leisure activities, and time to communicate opinions with each other should be provided to create an organizational culture that satisfies all members, thereby lowering the intention to turnover.
The main purpose of this study was to find antecedents of organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) and to investigate the mediating role of leader-member exchange(LMX). This study categorized the factors that influence OCB and LMX into individual(distributive and procedural justice), group(transformational leadership and team empowerment), and organizational levels(complexity). A total of 773 cases were used in this study, which were collected in one of industrial complexes. The research participants were any employees who participated in their work by collaborating with their co-workers. This study found that procedural justice, transformational leadership, and team empowerment had positive influences on OCB, and distributive justice, procedural justice, transformational leadership, team empowerment, and complexity significantly influenced LMX. Moreover, LMX played a mediating role in the relationship between each of the five input variables and OCB.
Objectives: This study aimed to identify the effects of team-member exchange (TMX) on dental hygienists' commitment. Methods: A self-administrated questionnaire was conducted from August 22 to September, 2016 with 191 dental hygienists in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do. Teacher-member relationships and community were evaluated with the TMX scale and community scale, respectively. A self-administered five-point scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlations, and multiple linear regression analysis. Results: Overall TMX and commitment levels of subjects were $3.78{\pm}0.43$ and $3.20{\pm}0.41$, respectively. The TMX subcategories that influenced commitment and change (a subcategory of commitment) were community consciousness, and trust and respect. The TMX subcategory that influenced organization (a subcategory of commitment) was community consciousness. Conclusions: Dental hygienists' commitment was closely related to community consciousness, and trust and respect.
In this study for the purpose of providing the basic data for airline cabin service improvement and efficient crew management. The relationship on team effectiveness and team performance according to the quality of airline cabin crew team LMX(Leader-Member Exchange) and TMX(Team-Member Exchange) was verified. The findings from the analysis shows the closer team leader and team members have quality exchange relationship the more the cabin crews will team commitment and team satisfaction. The conclusion is drawn that increased team effectiveness(satisfaction and commitment) enhances team performance as well. Therefore, based on the results of the study on airline cabin crew team operation system, the team leader and team members should come up with specific scheme to establish quality exchange relationship and to maintain the relationship.
This paper investigates the relationships between leader-member exchange(LMX), perceived team efficacy, and organizational citizenship behavior(OCBI, OCBO) in the Korea Post. Also the study investigates the moderator effect of leader integrity and the mediator effect of perceived team efficacy in the relationships between LMX and OCB(OCBI, OCBO). The multiple regression analysis were employed to test the hypotheses. The main finding of this study was as follows: First, LMX had a positive effect on the perceived team efficacy. Second, the perceived team efficacy had a positive impact on OCB(OCBI, OCBO). Third, the perceived team efficacy completely mediated effect on the relationship between LMX and OCBI. Also the perceived team efficacy partially mediated effect on the relationship between LMX and OCBO. Fourth, the positive relationships between LMX and OCB(OCBI, OCBO) were stronger when leader integrity was high rather than low. In particular, this review concludes with implications for future research, limitations of this study, and practical application.
This paper investigates the relationships among family-friendly culture, intrinsic motivation, team-member exchange(TMX), and creativity in ICT(information & communication technology) company. Also the study investigates the moderator effect of TMX and the mediator effect of intrinsic motivation in the relationships between family-friendly culture and creativity. A structural equation modeling(SEM) was employed to test the hypotheses. Using survey data collected from 229 R&D department and support personnel in ICT company. The main finding of this study was as follows: First, a family-friendly culture had a negative effect on employee creativity. Second, intrinsic motivation had a positive impact on employee creativity. Third, a family-friendly culture had a positive effect on intrinsic motivation. Fourth, intrinsic motivation mediated effect on the relationship between a family-friendly culture and employee creativity. Fifth, the positive relationships between a family-friendly culture and intrinsic motivation were stronger when TMX was high rather than low. In particular, this review concludes with implications for future research, limitations of this study, and practical application.
