  • In this study, we will conduct an empirical study to see how the 3PL firm's logistics service quality and relationship orientation affects the supply chain performance. To examine the research model and hypotheses, we have used an empirical method based on the field survey in which most of measurements used and verified in previous studies are selected as measurements. The results of our empirical study can be summarized as follows: First, it can be shown that higher level of logistics service quality not only affects satisfaction and relationship orientation positively, but also improves supply chain performance. Second, it can be also shown that satisfaction for logistics service quality affects relationship orientation between shipper and 3PL firm positively. Finally, it can be shown that relationship orientation affects supply chain performance positively. This paper presents much implications both theoretical and practical side.

  • This study was conducted a comparative study to identify the differences in service quality between Incheon and Kimpo international Airport and critical factors influencing satisfaction of airport customers. According the results of this study, all service quality factors except the service factor of geographical location of Incheon international airport are better than those of Kimpo international airport. However, all of service quality factors of Incheon airport are evaluated as inferior to those of american, western european and japanese international airports by both the airport visitors and the employees of one korean airliner. In addition the service factors such as response, safety, airport facility and geographical location are found as critical factors influencing satisfaction of the airport visitors and the airliner's employees. Among them the service quality factor of geographical location of Incheon airport is much inferior to that of Kimpo airport comparing with other service quality factors. Thus, the results of this study suggest that the managing team implement TQM and six sigma to enhance the service quality level of the Incheon international airport up to that of the american and western european international airport. Especially, it is strongly required that the Korean governmen deliberate in deciding the geographical location in case of planning new international airport because geographical location is related to not only traffic to airport but also safety of landing, taking off and flying.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine the level of health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of children and adolescents who received hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and to examine factors influencing HRQoL. Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study involved 85 participants aged 10 to 19 years who received treatment from 3 months to 5 years after HSCT. Symptom experiences, stress and coping, self-esteem, social support, and HRQoL were measured. Descriptive analysis, the independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression were used for data analysis. Results: The mean HRQoL score was 72.26 points out of 100. HRQoL showed statistically significant correlations with symptom experiences, stress, self-esteem, social support, satisfaction with peer relationships, and perceived attentiveness of the medical team. The most influential predictors of HRQoL were symptom experiences (β=-.51, p<.001) and satisfaction with peer relationships (β=.32, p<.001). Conclusion: The experiences of different symptoms by children and adolescents who receive HSCT must be considered. In addition, nursing interventions, such as self-help meetings with peer groups, should be provided to improve their HRQoL.

  • Various techniques of business innovation such as MRP, ERP have been introduced, which has offered many advantages to the foodservice industry. However, these techniques optimized only a part not for the whole supply chain. For overcoming this problem, companies introduced SCM(Supply Chain Management). Since SCM research for restaurant business hasn't been widely studied, this research focuses on the relation between purchasers and suppliers in the domestic restaurant business. It divided the types of purchaser-supplier relationships in the foodservice industry and studied the influences that partnership factors have for the results. The SCM achievement was divided into asset management, job efficiency and customer satisfaction sharing, reliance/cooperation, professional technology and relation concentration. Under these factors, it looked into the difference that partnership affects SCM achievement. It made it easy to understand the importance by practically analyzing the relation of partnership factors extracted by SCM achievement and investigation suggested by the previous researches. It was found that the partnership factors such as extracted information sharing, reliance/cooperation, professional technology, and relation concentration positively affect the SCM achievement such as asset management, job efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • This paper deals with inter-relationship change of women's university students on the process of SW development project using social collaboration tool. Inter-relationship is one of the basic vocational competency in NCS(National Competency Standards) of Korea. We redesigned the curriculum of "Software Engineering" subject for this study and composed the project teams of students to develop software. The details of inter-relationship are satisfaction, communication, faith, friendliness, sensitivity, openness and consideration. From the result of this study, faith, openness and consideration have positive effect but satisfaction, communication, friendliness and sensitivity have no meaningful effect. The surveys were conducted in the beginning of semester and the same surveys were conducted again in the end of semester. The results were verified by paired t-test with SPSS 18.0. It is significant that the using of social collaboration tool for team project has positive effect on inter-relationship change, especially faith of women's university students. This study has some limitations for generalization but has meaning as new trial to enlarge the basic vocational competency of students in major subject, "Software Engineering". We expect new study for inter-relationship change of students to evaluate generality based on the proposed method in this paper.

A survey was administered to 727 research subjects selected from pre-registered panels enrolled by an online research organization. The main constructs examined in this study were measured on 5-point Likert scales using multiple items. A structural equation model was employed to verify the proposed conceptual model and the relationships among variables. The results revealed that, of the personality traits, participants high in extraversion, openness to experience, and agreeableness felt high levels of life satisfaction and positive affect, i.e. a sense of subjective well-being. Second, users who felt a high level of subjective well-being, specifically, high life satisfaction and positive affect, also indicated a high level of behavioral intention. Finally, the academic and practical implications and limitations of the study, as well as future research plans involving the personality traits underlying serious leisure experiences are discussed.

Methods: Data were collected using an activity-based costing system, medical information system, and annual reports of customer satisfaction management team of a general hospital in a city. The input variables were the number of doctors, the number of nurses, and the number of staffs. The output variables were the number of treatment times, the number of outpatient clinic patients, the total profits from outpatient clinic, the patient's satisfaction score, and the number of re-visit appointments. EMS Window version 3.1 was used to measure the efficiency score and benchmarking analysis. Results: The average efficiency score of 24 outpatient clinics was about 82.01%. Thirteen outpatient clinics had 100% efficiency score among them. The lowest efficiency score was 57.56%. Conclusion: According to these results, we found that, generally, outpatient clinics were operated very efficiently. However, some outpatient clinics had low efficiency and they needed specialized outcome improvement strategies. To increase the efficiency of inefficient outpatient clinics, we will recommend using results of DEA, as a benchmark point of the most efficient outpatient clinics.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the degrees of turnover intention among Korean staff nurses(N=175) and to identify discriminating factors of their turnover intention. Method : The data were driven from a larger study and staff nurses who had worked more than 1 year as nurses were included in the analyses. The original data were collected from May 1999 to March 2000. Descriptive and discriminant analyses were utilized. Results : 87% of the participants reported turnover intention. Nurses were grouped into three group(GP)s depending on the frequencies of turnover intention: Never GP(N=23), Sometimes GP(N=107), Frequent GP(N=43). With three GPs, two functions were produced and only function 1 was significant that significantly discriminated Never and Frequent GPs. Additional discriminant analysis with only Never and Frequent GPs produced function classified 93% of the participants correctly into two GPs. Sub-dimensions of work satisfaction were significant discriminating factors. Nurses who are satisfied with doctor and nurse relationship, pay, and hospital administration tend to report no intention in turnover. Conclusion : Based on the findings of this study, possible managemental intervention for increasing interpersonal skills and assertiveness of nurses, inviting medical residents in ward team meeting, increasing incentives or baseline adjustment of annual income for registered nurses were suggested.
