  • This study analyzed subjectivity of underachievers on Peer Assisted Learning(PAS) in culinary skills related subject for providing better educational environment through consideration of educational efficiency of particular teaching method. Q Methodology was employed for analysing of responses of a small group of the students. The research found that three types of distinctive structures of responses of the students' subjectivity. The first one was Increase learning effectiveness type(Type1, N=8), the second one was Development of lesson materials for passive students(Type2, N=8), and the last one was Practical self-directed learning needs development(Type3, N=6). From the result, PAS was an effective teaching method for underachievers for encouraging participation of study program, helping to rise self-confidence in subject's tasks, and awareness of self directed learning and additional study on subjects matters. The study, however, found that students could consider themselves as an interruption to other students' study progress, and could feel other students' awareness as a burden. At last, forming a class by deeper consideration on the learning levels of each students and providing additional educational contents for encouraging self directed learning are necessary for the better efficiency for the future.

  • Since the center of mass of mathematics curriculum in middle school is dealt with only on triangle and it is defined as just an intersection point of median lines without any physical experiments, students sometimes have misconception of the centroid as well as it is difficult to promote divergent thinking that enables students to think the centroids of various figures. To overcome these problems and to instruct effectively the centroid unit in middle school mathematics classroom, this study suggests a teaching and learning method for the unit which uses physical experiments, drawing, and calculation methods sequentially based on the investigation of students' understanding on the centroid of triangle and the analysis of the mathematics textbooks.

  • With the rapid development of educational informatization, teaching methods become diversified characteristics, but a large number of information data restrict the evaluation on teaching subject and object in terms of the effect of English education. Therefore, this study adopts the concept of incremental learning and eigenvalue interval algorithm to improve the weighted decision tree, and builds an English education effect evaluation model based on association rules. According to the results, the average accuracy of information classification of the improved decision tree algorithm is 96.18%, the classification error rate can be as low as 0.02%, and the anti-fitting performance is good. The classification error rate between the improved decision tree algorithm and the original decision tree does not exceed 1%. The proposed educational evaluation method can effectively provide early warning of academic situation analysis, and improve the teachers' professional skills in an accelerated manner and perfect the education system.

  • The purpose of this thesis was to implement effective blended PBL(Problem-Based Learning) systems for information communication ethics education. Online learning and face-to-face classes were systematically combined for achieving the teaching-learning goals. And the main module for online learning run on Moodle, an open source learning management system. To examine educational effectiveness of the proposed systems, an experimental study was conducted through the method to the subject of two class in the second-grade of university located in ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ city. For experiment 60 students(treatment group=30, control group=30) are participated. And they were assigned to one of ten subgroups, comprising of six students, respectively. The results of this study are follows, First, the education using proposed blended PBL method is more effective in cultivating consciousness of information communication ethics than the education using face-to-face PBL learning method. Second, learners who participated in the proposed blended PBL more experienced various effects of PBL, such as (1) Improvement of problem solving ability, (2) Understanding of cooperative learning than the other learners who participated in the face-to-face PBL.

  • Linear algebra is not only applied comprehensively in the branches of mathematics such as algebra, analytics, and geometry but also utilized for finding solutions in various fields such as aeronautical engineering, electronics, biology, geology, mechanics and etc. Therefore, linear algebra should be easy and comfortable for not only mathematics majors but also for general students as well. However, most find it difficult to learn linear algebra. Why is it so? It is because many studying linear algebra fail to achieve a correct understanding or attain erroneous concepts through misleading knowledge they already have. Such cases cause learning disability and mistakes. This research suggests more effective method of teaching by analyzing difficulty and errors made in learning system of linear equations.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of the advance organizer in programming class on elementary school students' logical thinking ability and self-efficacy. We developed our teaching-learning materials of programming for this purpose, Further, they are applied to the elementary school, and their effects are analyzed. Fourth grade students in elementary school were selected for the experiments of this study, For comparison, they were divided into a control group who taught by a traditional programming teaching method and an experimental group who taught by our advance organizer programming class. As a result, through before-and-after t-verifications performed on the experimental group and the control group respectively, we found statically significant differences between the two groups, and the effectiveness of our new programming teaching method was proved in both learner's self-efficacy and logical thinking ability.

  • This study researched the trends of mathematics education in Korean mathematics class in the aspects of teaching and learning method, assessment and teachers' competency based on TIMSS 1995, 1999, 2003 and 2007. For the mathematics teaching and learning method, the differentiated instruction rate is higher. The activities focused on students not teacher are more, and frequencies of homework are higher but time spent for homework is less than the past. Especially, mathematics teachers link homeworks to instructions. And mathematics teachers uses more multiple choice items and more various assessment methods than the past. The average age of mathematics teachers tends to become older since 1995. The major of mathematics teacher are primarily mathematics and mathematics education. Korean mathematics teachers have less self-esteem for teaching mathematics contents and have more various interactions with peers. The rate of participating in-service training is more or less according to training contents.

  • Background Virtual education is an evolving method for teaching medical learners. During the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic, remote learning has provided a replacement for conferences, lectures, and meetings, but has not been described as a method for conducting a cadaver dissection. We aim to demonstrate how learners perceive a virtual cadaver dissection as an alternative to live dissection. Methods A virtual cadaver dissection was performed to demonstrate several upper extremity nerve procedures. These procedures were livestreamed as part of an educational event with multimedia and interactive audience questions. Participants were queried both during and after the session regarding their perceptions of this teaching modality. Results Attendance of a virtual dissection held for three plastic surgery training institutions began at 100 and finished with 70 participants. Intrasession response rates from the audience varied between 68 and 75%, of which 75% strongly agreed that they were satisfied with the virtual environment. The audience strongly agreed or agreed that the addition of multimedia captions (88%), magnified video loupe views (82%), and split-screen multicast view (64%) was beneficial. Postsession response rate was 27%, and generally reflected a positive perspective about the content of the session. Conclusions Virtual cadaver dissection is an effective modality for teaching surgical procedures and can be enhanced through technologies such as video loupes and multiple camera perspectives. The audience viewed the virtual cadaver dissection as a beneficial adjunct to surgical education. This format may also make in-person cadaver courses more effective by improving visualization and allowing for anatomic references to be displayed synchronously.

  • This study was to promote meaning ways of leaning and observe the influence of concept maps on middle school students' conceptual formation with regards to the topic of the 'sea water'. Concept map is one way to examine a leaner's conceptual formation process. The subjects of this study consisted of four classes within the first grade students of a Busan middle school, which were divided into two groups: the experimental group which applied concept map teaching and the ordinary teaching group. This study was carried out before and after class, examining the science leaning achievement, self-directed leaning characteristics, and awareness change on the concept maps. The result of this study was as follows: First, the leaning achievement of middle school students was positively affected by the use of concept maps. Second, the teaching method with concept map was more effective self-directed leaning characteristics compared to the ordinary one. Third, concept map teaching was a positive reaction to conceptual formation.
