The purpose of this study is to suggest one of teaching methods through developing a new guideline of the teaching-learning applied the Problem-Based Learning which is derived from the Constructionism. And then we apply this guideline to the class of Home Economics. especially the unit of the Consumption life for investigating the effect of this method in the aspect of improving man-power development as a consumer The results of this study are summarized as follows : First. the class applied a new method of Problem-Based Learning turn out to be more improved in the aspect of consumer consciousness than the untested class going through explanation-based teaching(P< .01). This is, the former result more positive than the latter because the former could be given chances to handle faced problems in class. Second there is no significant difference between the tested class and the untested class in the aspect of consumer skill. This is the fact that the research was conducted in a short Period of time and that the researcher failed to show the suitable stimulation or materials. even though the researcher was well aware of what Problem-Based Learning is. Third students\` evaluation after the test indicates that the tested class not only increase interest in home economics but also help them to take an active Part in class as the main of the class. and that the learning atmosphere is improved and that the effect of learning was also enhanced. Although the aspect of consumer skill is not statistically significant. the result show that adolescents try to Practice their learning from the class in their life.
This paper is to suggest the way to improve EFL reading skill through semantic mapping by leveled group activities. Semantic mapping is a categorical structuring of information in graphic forms or diagrams. It can be used to activate and organize background knowledge on topics in classrooms. For small group activities, the class is divided into higher leveled groups and lower leveled groups of four members based on their grades. The teaching process has three stages: Pre-reading, while-reading, and post-reading. In the pre-reading stage, students discuss what they know about the topic. They map ideas with a brainstorming technique. In the while-reading stage, they read the text about the topic. While they are reading, they could ask some questions they might have and discuss the information in the text and categorize them with semantic mapping. In the post-reading stage, they discuss what they thought of the topic and add some information about the topic with semantic mapping. For the subjects of this study, third grade, middle school students were selected: 41 students for the experimental group and 35 students for the control group. The experimental period covered almost one semester from March to August, 2000. The results were as follows: 1) The students in the experimental group had higher scores in reading comprehension than those in the control group when semantic mapping was used; 2) The use of semantic mapping in reading comprehension was found to be much more effective in the higher leveled group than in the lower leveled group; 3) The results of questionnaires showed that many students became more interested and motivated in English, and semantic mapping helped them to participate positively in reading the English text. Thus, using semantic mapping by leveled group activities can be an effective alternative to traditional teaching methods for teachers who desire to improve reading skill in middle school students' English classes.
The science writing is recognized for useful learning method to boost up scientific thinking for all class course as well as traditional lecture and experiment. Many researches say that science writing is helpful to extend students' science knowledge and scientific attitude. By the way, the researchers thought that science writing can also improve the science process skill if students participate in delicately organized learning program. In this study, we had contrived the teaching & learning strategy of science writing to improve science process skills. The learning program covers all field of Klopfer's process skills with various forms of writing; explaining writing, logical writing, critical writing, and creative writing. The learning program has been developed for 5th grade students in the regular classes in order to enhance science process skills as well as knowledge and scientific attitude. Not to miss any process skill or various kinds of writing, we used 3 dimensional frame. The axes of the frames are science process skills, forms of writing, and science curriculum contents. The students are given the final writing theme at the beginning of each chapter. They drill science process skills step by step during the classes, and have a chance to talk each other before the final writing. They practice writing skills from one sentence to full article by degrees. The effect of the program was examined by students' work and TSPS (Test of Science Process Skill). The result showed that 5th grade students had a meaningful progress in science process skills as well as knowledge and scientific attitude. we could confirm it with examining students' work in the class.

Effectiveness of the videotaped-record learning method in teaching intramuscular injection skill was investigated using an experimental research methodology. Data was collected from 57 female students attending Fundamental nursing class from two depts. of nursing in Chung-ju and Seoul. The subjects were assigned to two groups, the experimental group of 30 and the control group of 27. The independent variable was videotaped-record learning method and the dependent variable were the degree of knowledge achivement, nursing skill achivement, competence on practicing intramuscular injection skill and satisfaction about the learning method. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS-PC program. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in knowledge achievement about intramuscular injections (t=4.721, P=.000). 2. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in nursing skill achievement(t=3.542, P=.001). 3. There was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in competence on practicing intramuscular injection skill (t=.627, P=.533). 4. There was statistically significant difference between the experimental group and control group in satisfaction about learning method(t=4.708, P=.000). 5. There was significant correlation between nursing skill achievement and knowledge achievement(r=.233, p<.05). In conclusion, this study suggests that videotaped-record learning method is an effective learning method for achieving intramuscular injection skill as a basic nursing skills. Therefore, further study with more developed research design and other fundamental nursing skill practice will be needed to investigate the effectiveness of videotaped-recored learning method.

Effectiveness of the video-record learning method in teaching bowel elimination nursing skill was investigated using an experimental research methodology. Data was collected from 63 female students attending Fundamental Nursing class from a nursing college in Seoul. The subjects were randomly assigned to two groups, one is the experimental group of 29 and the other the control group of 34. The independent variable was video-record learning method and the dependent variable were the degree of knowledge achivement, nursing skill achivement, competence on practicing elimination skill, and satisfaction about the learning method. The hypotheses of the study were as following. 1) There will be significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in dependent variables. 2) There will be significant positive correlations between nursing skill achievement and other three dependent variables-interest in nursing, adaptation in nursing, and preference of nursing job. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, chi-square test, t-test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS $PC^+$ program. Findings of the study are : 1) There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in knowledge achievement using P<.05. 2) There was significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in nursing skill achievement using P<.05. 3) There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in competence on practicing elimination skill using P<.05. 4) There was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in satisfaction about learning method using P<.05. 5) There was positive correlation between nursing skill achievement and the other variables but no significant difference was shown. 6) This study suggests that video-record learning method is an effective learning method for achiving basic nursing skills but is not effective in other areas such as knowledge achivement, competence in performing nursing practice, and satis-faction about the learning method. Further study with more developed research design and statistical analysis should be done to investigate the effectivenes of video-record learning method in learning basic nursing skill more accurately.
Experiential education is a core curriculum of 6-year pharmacy education. Practicing pharmacists lie at the heart of experiential education serving as preceptors for undergraduate pharmacy students during experiential education. Preceptors are, however, confronted with a challenge of caring for patients and teaching students at the same time in a time-constrained environment. To improve the effectiveness and outcomes of experiential education, practicing pharmacists are required to demonstrate educational competence. Even small teaching moments can provide students with valuable learning opportunities that they could not have from on their own. Thus, it is vital to provide education and training for preceptors to advance their teaching skills. This article will describe practical and effective teaching skills that preceptors could adopt in the experiential education for pharmacy students. It is important that preceptors should use different teaching skills for different learners, according to their level of experience and knowledge, learning styles and needs, as well as the type of the practice. Therefore, possessing diverse teaching skills provides flexibility to adapt teaching to each student's learning levels and needs, and to the charateristics of the practice environment. Preceptors' level of confidence and comfort in using teaching skills can be enhanced through continuous practice and training, which consequently leads to the improved effectiveness of experiential education and student's satisfaction with the education.
We are fusing to the profiling techniques in education and making to a smart teaching plan production systems. Therefore, we investigated based on technical elements necessary for the proper look for profiling techniques, trends in the technology and product trends. We proposed that is smart teaching plan production system such as the smart teaching plan production and editing technique, the management technique for the smart teaching plan, and works for relation skill to smart teaching plan production systems. If you using the techniques that we were proposed to build effective smart teaching plan production system, management system for contents control, virtual classroom then they can management their's class and class teaching plan production, file management to teaching group easy. and those students can easy understand in their class too easy.

The purpose of this study was to introduce a practical model to enhance creative and critical thinking skills through hypotheses generating activities for students. The 2007 Science National Curricula stresses the need for the enhancement of creative thinking skills for our students. The definition for the creativity in the narrow sense is the divergent thinking skills. The definition of the critical thinking skills is the strong sense of those skills. This model shows the use of the divergent thinking skills and convergent thinking skills together. The divergent thinking skills has been developed by making three alternative explanations about the causal question within a group of students by active discussion. The following procedure includes the selection of the most provable of the three explanations within a group of students also by active discussions. This process needs convergent thinking skills as well as critical thinking skills. This model can be used easily by exchanging from the one explanation about the causal question in any inquiry teaching strategy to three explanations about one. Although the partial modified strategy shows a small difference from any inquiry teaching strategy, but the effect of the enhancement of the creative thinking skills for our students shows significantly better (p<.05). More detailed study will be carried out in the near future.

This study is to help to understand the influence of exchange writing activity in the elementary mathematics on students' mathematical communication skill. Various technical activities had been implemented during the classes and the ideas from those activities had been interpreted into writings in the final stage of the classes. Those writings, then, were distributed to other students or teachers in order to devise a teaching model for exchange writing, which is to be applied to the 3rd grade classes and to identify the influence on the in mathematical communication skill. From this study, we could get such conclusions as follows: First, there was considerable difference between experimental group practicing exchange writing and control group engaging in normal learning activities in the progress of their mathematical communication skill (group discussion), writing skill and expressivity when examining their average communication skill using t-method. Similar trend had been witnessed when self-evaluating their mathematical communication skill. Second, when it comes to the mathematical tendency, experimental group showed a higher tendency in positiveness compared to the control group. Therefore, we might conclude that the exchange writing has a positive influence on the students' mathematical tendency, especially on their curiosity or interest in teaming, willingness to study and their comprehension of its importance.
This study aims to suggest implications on develop and operate NCS curriculum by analyzing of differences in perception and educational needs of university students, graduates, human resource managers(HR managers) on NCS basic job skill. The respondents of survey are composed of 533 university students in K university, 730 graduates and 106 HR managers. The major findings are as follows: first, the results showed that the importances of all competencies recognized by HR managers was higher than those of university students and graduates. And graduates perceived their level of competencies as higher than those of university students. Second, the needs for self-development skill, technical skill, and problem-solving skill was the highest within the students and graduates, meanwhile, the needs for the mathematical skill, resource management skill, and the organization understanding skill were low. In contrast, the results of this study showed that the HR managers has the high needs for self-development skill, communication skill and problem-solving skill. Also, HR managers has the low needs for mathematical skill, resource management skill, information skill, technical skill, organizational understanding skill, and job ethics. Based on the above results, we proposed the necessity to develop and apply the NCS curriculum considering the education needs recognized by current students, graduates, and HR managers.
