  • 본 논문에서는 시간 선택성 다경로 페이딩 채널 상에서 OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) 신호를 수신할 수 있는 수신기를 제안하였다.

  • In this paper we implemented DDFS and gam-phase dectector which use output of DDFS or any sinusoidal signal input to broaden the usability of DDFS. DDFS is composed of a 32 bits phase accumulator, phase increment registers, ROM and several registers for controlling the operations. It generates the digital data for sine wave up to the half of the clock frequency. To reduce the ROM size and increase the speed, we adopt the algorithms based on Taylor's series expansion method. Data at sparse phase intervals are stored in ROM and sine data between intervals are calculated in hardware. Function of Gain-Phase Extraction consists of sine lookup of DDFS and the optimized multipliers.

  • The delta-formulation of the Navier-Stokes equations has been popularly used in the aerodynamics area. Implicit algorithm can be easily implemented in that by using Taylor series expansion. This formulation is extended for an unsteady analysis by using a dual-time integration. In the meanwhile, the incompressible flows with heat transfers which occur in the area of thermo-hydraulics have been solved by a segregated algorithm such as the SIMPLE method, where each equation is discretised by using an under-relaxed deferred correction method and solved sequentially. In this study, the dual-time delta formulation is implemented in the segregated Navier-Stokes solver which is based on the collocated cell-centerd scheme with un unstructured mesh FVM. The pressure correction equation is derived by the SIMPLE method. From this study, it was found that the Euler dual-time method in the delta formulation can be combined with the SIMPLE method.

  • A spar-type floating substructure that is being widely used for offshore wind power generation is vulnerable to resonance in the heave direction because of its small water plane area. For this reason, the stable dynamic response of this floating structure should be ensured by accurately identifying the resonance characteristics. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of the combination resonance between the excitation frequency of a regular wave and natural frequencies of the floating substructure. First, the nonlinear equations of motion with two degrees of freedom are derived by assuming that the floating substructure is a rigid body, where the heaving motion and pitching motions are coupled. Moreover, to identify the characteristics of the combination resonance, the nonlinear term in the nonlinear equations is approximated up to the second order using the Taylor series expansion. Furthermore, the validity of the approximate model is confirmed through a comparison with the results of a numerical analysis which is made by applying the commercial software ANSYS AQWA to the full model. The result indicates that the combination resonance occurs at the frequencies of ${\omega}{\pm}{\omega}_5$ and $2{\omega}_{n5}$ between the excitation frequency (${\omega}$) of a regular wave and the natural frequency of the pitching motion (${\omega}_{n5}$) of the floating substructure.

  • The maximum likelihood(ML) estimation of the scale parameters of an exponential distribution based on progressive Type II censored samples is given. The sample is multiply censored (some middle observations being censored); however, the ML method does not admit explicit solutions. In this paper, we propose multiply progressive Type II censoring. This paper presents the statistical inference on the scale parameter for the exponential distribution when samples are multiply progressive Type II censoring. The scale parameter is estimated by approximate ML methods that use two different Taylor series expansion types ($AMLE_I$, $AMLE_{II}$). We also obtain the maximum likelihood estimator(MLE) of the scale parameter under the proposed multiply progressive Type II censored samples. We compare the estimators in the sense of the mean square error(MSE). The simulation procedure is repeated 10,000 times for the sample size n = 20 and 40 and various censored schemes. The $AMLE_{II}$ is better than MLE and $AMLE_I$ in the sense of the MSE.

  • This paper present a current predicting control method for PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motor) to improve the tracking performance of stator current, which regards the current vector as the control target. Solving the model state equation in the static frame (α-β frame), the dynamic change of current vector will be gained as three independent terms. These change terms, which contain the prediction of current vector, are discretized and simplified by Taylor series expansion and used to get the voltage vector as the predictive control quantity. SVPWM will transform the control voltage to the switching signal of inverter, which is newly deduced for the current vector. Simulation and experiment results are given to testy and verify the performance of this method.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a systematic design method for the suspension system hard points and compliance elements, which have great influence on the handling stability of a vehicle. In this paper, a method to optimize J-turn responses is presented based on the principles of design of experiments, multi-body dynamic analysis and optimum design technique. The design variables associated with the J-turn maneuver are selected through the experimental design sensitivity analysis using the perturbation method. An objective function is defined as an approximate function for the J-turn characteristics using the TSA(Taylor series approximation). The values of the design variables, which make the optimized J-turn characteristics, are obtained using the conjugate gradient method. The result of the J-turn simulation shows that the optimized vehicle has more improved handling stability than the optimized vehicle.

  • A planar slotted waveguide array antenna has been designed at 9.37 GHz for X-band radar applications. The antenna consists of multiple branchline waveguides with broadwall radiating shunt slots and a main waveguide to feed the branch waveguides through a series of inclined coupling slots. The antenna feed point is located at the center of the main waveguide. Element weights in the array have been calculated bysampling a continuous circular Taylor aperture distribution at the 25 dB sidelobe level in both the E and Hplanes. A commercially available electromagnetic (EM) simulation tool has been used to characterize the individual isolated slot and that data hassubsequently been used to design the planar array. The array is finally analyzed in a CST Microwave studio and the measured and simulated results have been found to be in good agreement.
