  • Emotion recognition while driving is an essential task to prevent accidents. Furthermore, in the era of autonomous driving, automobiles are the subject of mobility, requiring more emotional communication with drivers, and the emotion recognition market is gradually spreading. Accordingly, in this research plan, the driver's emotions are classified into seven categories using psychological and behavioral data, which are relatively easy to collect. The latent vectors extracted through the auto-encoder model were also used as features in this classification model, confirming that this affected performance improvement. Furthermore, it also confirmed that the performance was improved when using the framework presented in this paper compared to when the existing EEG data were included. Finally, 81% of the driver's emotion classification accuracy and 80% of F1-Score were achieved only through psychological, personal information, and behavioral data.

  • In various sensor network applications, such as climate observation organizations, sensor nodes need to collect information from time to time and pass it on to the recipient of information through multiple bounces. According to field tests, this information corresponds to most of the energy use of the sensor hub. Decreasing the measurement of information transmission in sensor networks becomes an important issue.Compression sensing (CS) can reduce the amount of information delivered to the network and reduce traffic load. However, the total number of classification of information delivered using pure CS is still enormous. The hybrid technique for utilizing CS was proposed to diminish the quantity of transmissions in sensor networks.Further the energy productivity is a test task for the sensor nodes. However, in previous studies, a clustering approach using hybrid CS for a sensor network and an explanatory model was used to investigate the relationship between beam size and number of transmissions of hybrid CS technology. It uses efficient data integration techniques for large networks, but leads to clone attacks or attacks. Here, a new algorithm called SBEA (Snowball Endurance Algorithm) was proposed and tested with a bow. Thus, you can extend the battery life of your WSN by running effective copy detection. Often, multiple nodes, called observers, are selected to verify the reliability of the nodes within the network. Personal data from the source centre (e.g. personality and geographical data) is provided to the observer at the optional witness stage. The trust and reputation system is used to find the reliability of data aggregation across the cluster head and cluster nodes. It is also possible to obtain a mechanism to perform sleep and standby procedures to improve the life of the sensor node. The sniffers have been implemented to monitor the energy of the sensor nodes periodically in the sink. The proposed algorithm SBEA (Snowball Endurance Algorithm) is a combination of ERCD protocol and a combined mobility and routing algorithm that can identify the cluster head and adjacent cluster head nodes. This algorithm is used to yield the network life time and the performance of the sensor nodes can be increased.

  • The purpose of this study was to conduct an exploratory and descriptive survey study design to examine 1) the physical difficulty by care task, 2) overall occupation-related physical burden by the characteristics of caregivers and care receivers, and 3) the level of help by the use of care robots and devices among formal caregivers working in facilities for older adults. In this study, 308 formal caregivers working in facilities were recruited from 8 nursing homes and 5 geriatric hospitals between Aug. 2021 and Sept. 2022 in South Korea. There were significant differences in ADLs between nursing homes and geriatric hospitals: eating, dressing, hygiene, transfer to bed, transfer to the toilet and walking. For each care item, the items the caregivers had the most difficulty ranked first were bathing, excretion assistance, and mobility support. The difference in occupation-related physical burden according to general characteristics was found to have statistically significant differences in female and bad perceived health. Among the 205 caregivers who had experience using care robots and devices, pressure ulcer prevention was the most experienced one, and those also were the most helpful and exercise aids were the least helpful. In order to reduce the physical burden on care providers, it is necessary to develop and introduce a care robots centered on the care site. Furthermore, national level public support systems are required to enable facilities to actively utilize care robots and devices.

  • ZnO has a very large exciton binding energy (60 meV) as well as thermal and chemical stability, which are expected to allow efficient excitonic emission, even at room temperature. ZnO based electronic devices have attracted increasing interest as the backplanes for applications in the next-generation displays, such as active-matrix liquid crystal displays (AMLCDs) and active-matrix organic light emitting diodes (AMOLEDs), and in solid state lighting systems as a substitution for GaN based light emitting diodes (LEDs). Most of these electronic devices employ the electrical behavior of n-type semiconducting active oxides due to the difficulty in obtaining a p-type film with long-term stability and high performance. p-type ZnO films can be produced by substituting group V elements (N, P, and As) for the O sites or group I elements (Li, Na, and K) for Zn sites. However, the achievement of p-type ZnO is a difficult task due to self-compensation induced from intrinsic donor defects, such as O vacancies (Vo) and Zn interstitials ($Zn_i$), or an unintentional extrinsic donor such as H. Phosphorus (P) doped ZnO thin films were grown on c-sapphire substrates by radio frequency magnetron sputtering with various Ar/ $O_2$ gas ratios. Control of the electrical types in the P-doped ZnO films was achieved by varying the gas ratio with out post-annealing. The P-doped ZnO films grown at a Ar/ $O_2$ ratio of 3/1 showed p-type conductivity with a hole concentration and hole mobility of $10^{-17}cm^{-3}$ and $2.5cm^2/V{\cdot}s$, respectively. X-ray diffraction showed that the ZnO (0002) peak shifted to lower angle due to the positioning of $p^{3-}$ ions with a smaller ionic radius in the $O^{2-}$ sites. This indicates that a p-type mechanism was due to the substitutional Po. The low-temperature photoluminescence of the p-type ZnO films showed p-type related neutral acceptor-bound exciton emission. The p-ZnO/n-Si heterojunction LEO showed typical rectification behavior, which confirmed the p-type characteristics of the ZnO films in the as-deposited status, despite the deep-level related electroluminescence emission.

  • Recently, the research relative to NGN(Next Generation Network) is progressing in 3GPP(The 3rd Generation Partnership Progect), IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force), and so on. Although user needs frequently mobility which is various service pattern, In accordance with the development of these various applications, IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) and hierarchical networks ie, Femtocell/WiBro/3G etc is constructed for more user demands which provide service in anytime, anywhere. It is necessary to optimum network selection criterion which consider to wireless signal quality add to user service profile and service network traffic balance. NGN also needs a method to perform heterogeneous handover and to constraint Ping-pong phenomenon when using existing terminal-based handover decision. This paper proposes scheme for network selection and heterogeneous handover procedure in hierarchical wireless multi-access network based on SIP-MIH(Session Initiation Protocol-Media Independent Handover) with IMS by using user service profile that the considerations are dealing with not only selection and registration of various access network but also easy of developing the terminal.

  • To develop the new network, the future network architecture is studied. Since the mobile devices are also advanced, they need for the mobility protocols. The one of the protocols, Fast handovers for proxy MIPv6(PFMIPv6) has studied by the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF). Since PFMIPv6 adopts the entities and the concepts of fast handovers for MIPv6(FMIPv6) in proxy MIPv6(PMIPv6), it reduces the packet loss. Although the conventional scheme has proposed that it cooperated with an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) infrastructure for authentication of a mobile node in PFMIPv6, it has the drawbacks such as high signaling cost and long handover latency. To reduce the signaling cost and the handover latency, we propose an enhanced authentication scheme in Fast handover for Proxy MIPv6. The proposed scheme reduces the handover latency and the signaling cost because the registration procedure and the authentication procedure are simultaneously performed. We also compare the proposed scheme with the conventional scheme in terms of the signaling cost and the handover latency.

  • In order to provide quality services across international airports, airline personnel must rapidly and effectively develop and share knowledge. Combining components of adaptive structuration theory (AST) and media synchronicity theory (MST), a research framework was developed to convey three distinct stages of knowledge sharing. We use the grounded theory research method for the qualitative data collected from audio transcripts of employees learning how to use and work with company issued smartphones with push-to-talk functionalities. Data was collected from 33 operations personnel. The results of the content analysis are recorded for the elements of each of the three concepts of our research framework. During the social interaction stage, the content of the audio conversations shifts mainly from conflict management to task management; for media synchronicity, from quality to quantity; for productive outcomes, from efficiency to commitment. New insights are uncovered from our analysis of data from the field as users advance from learning how to use the mobile devices, to using the devices for managing knowledge for their work in the airline industry.

  • An instable wireless channel condition causes more packet losses and retransmissions due to interference, fading, station mobility, and so on. Therefore video streaming service over a wireless networks is a challenging task because of the changes in the wireless channel conditions and time-constraints characteristics of the video streaming services. To provide efficient video streaming over a wireless networks, QoS-enhanced MAC protocol, IEEE 802.11e, is standardized recently. Tn this paper, we propose a new network-adaptive H.264 video streaming mechanism in the IEEE 802.11e wireless networks. To improve the quality of video streaming services, video stream has to adapt to the changes in the wireless channel conditions. The wireless channel conditions are estimated by the packet loss probability and informed to the application layer by the cross-layering. According to the wireless channel information, the video streaming application filters out the low-priority data. This adaptation mechanism efficiently uses system resources because it drops the low-priority data in advance. Therefore, our cross-layer design can provide improved video streaming services to the end-user. Through the implementation and performance evaluation, we prove that the proposed mechanism improves the QoS of the video streaming by providing the smoothed playback.

  • The secret sharing is the basic concept of the threshold cryptosystem and has an important position in the modern cryptography. At 1995, Jarecki proposed the proactive secret sharing to be a solution of existing the mobile adversary and also proposed the share renewal scheme for (k, n) threshold scheme. For n participants in the protocol, his method needs O($n^2$) modular exponentiation per one participant. It is very high computational cost and is not fit for the scalable cryptosystem. In this paper, we propose the efficient share renewal scheme that need only O(n) modular exponentiation per participant. And we prove our scheme is secure if less that ${\frac}\frac{1}{2}n-1$ adversaries exist and they static adversary.

  • The trajectory control for omni-directional mobile robot is not easy. Especially, the tracking control which system uncertainty problem is included is much more difficult. This paper develops trajectory controller of 3-wheels omni-directional mobile robot using fuzzy multi-layered algorithm. The fuzzy control method is able to solve the problems of classical adaptive controller and conventional fuzzy adaptive controllers. It explains the architecture of a fuzzy adaptive controller using the robust property of a fuzzy controller. The basic idea of new adaptive control scheme is that an adaptive controller can be constructed with parallel combination of robust controllers. This new adaptive controller uses a fuzzy multi-layered architecture which has several independent fuzzy controllers in parallel, each with different robust stability area. Out of several independent fuzzy controllers, the most suited one is selected by a system identifier which observes variations in the controlled system parameter. This paper proposes a design procedure which can be carried out mathematically and systematically from the model of a controlled system; related mathematical theorems and their proofs are also given. Finally, the good performance of the developed mobile robot is confirmed through live tests of path control task.
