In order to prediction of lethal effects on target microorganisms, this study was developed the program in the basis of Excel that was systemized with Visual Basic. This program was automatically calculated the lethal effects (L and Fo value) by using thermal characteristics (D and z value), kinetic model and mathematic model. For the selection of target microorganisms, we are selected two microorganisms because of spoilage increasing by acid production and decreasing quality of food, and heat resistance microorganisms. The target microorganisms were Bacillus cereus (D$_{121.1}$=0.0065 min, z=7.8$^{\circ}C$) and Bacillus subtilis (D$_{121.1}$=0.5 min, z =12$^{\circ}C$). The program was developed for the target microorganisms, and that was very useful for various microorganisms that direct introducing known D and z value.
We consider the problem of secure and robust clustering for quantized target tracking in wireless sensor networks (WSN) where the observed system is assumed to evolve according to a probabilistic state space model. We propose a new method for jointly activating the best group of candidate sensors that participate in data aggregation, detecting the malicious sensors and estimating the target position. Firstly, we select the appropriate group in order to balance the energy dissipation and to provide the required data of the target in the WSN. This selection is also based on the transmission power between a sensor node and a cluster head. Secondly, we detect the malicious sensor nodes based on the information relevance of their measurements. Then, we estimate the target position using quantized variational filtering (QVF) algorithm. The selection of the candidate sensors group is based on multi-criteria function, which is computed by using the predicted target position provided by the QVF algorithm, while the malicious sensor nodes detection is based on Kullback-Leibler distance between the current target position distribution and the predicted sensor observation. The performance of the proposed method is validated by simulation results in target tracking for WSN.

It is very important to understand and analyze the interactive behaviour between ground and adjacent structures due to tunneling. With many technological advancement in modern society, numerous methods for analyzing the interactive behaviour are used in a wide range of civil engineering fields. Close range photogrammetry is mainly being used in the field of geotechnical engineering and research on measuring methods associated with GeoPIV has been currently increased. Originally, the close range photogrammetry using target points and aluminum rods for VMS (Vision Measurement System) program has been used. However, applying this has a problem that external errors can be occurred because the target points are artificially installed by hand, and if the grid between points is being wider or narrower, deficient data can be obtained. Therefore, in this study, MATLAB-based No-target program that can analyze displacement without using target was developed. Additionally, this study focused on comparison and verification with existing program through numerical analysis and laboratory model test. Three cases of Greenfield condition, Strip foundation, and Pile foundation were analyzed. From results of VMS program and No-target program, the error rate and reliability of the total displacement and the vertical displacement were analyzed. It was also compared and verified through the finite element numerical program, PLAXIS.
There has been recognition of the increasing importance of cooperation as an element of marketing strategy. Such cooperation is confined to four levels based on product development, sales promotion, pricing arrangements, and place (or distribution) mechanisms as the usual marketing 4Ps mixed (Varadarajan 1986). At present, however, little is known about the nature of tie-in promotion as a cooperative sales promotion comparing three other levels. The primary goal of this study is to examine the effect of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship on loyalty. The construct of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship is based on the previous research on consumer-brand relationship. In addition, this study divides the concept of loyalty into host brand loyalty and partner brand loyalty to reflect the characteristics of tie-in promotion including program in order to determine the effect of the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship on loyalty. The results showed that the three dimensions of the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship (i.e., commitment, intimacy, and interdependence) had significantly positive effect on program loyalty. The effect of program loyalty is significantly on both host and partner brand loyalty. This study empirically tested the relationships among consumer - tie-in promotion relationship, program loyalty, host brand loyalty, and partner brand loyalty, and then compared with the difference in the suggested model for the target customers and non-target customers. As a result, for target customers, intimacy and interdependence among dimensions of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship had significantly positive influence on program loyalty. In case of non-target customers, however, commitment and interdependence among dimensions of consumer - tie-in promotion relationship had significantly positive influence on program loyalty. Also, program loyalty had significantly positive impact on host brand loyalty and partner brand loyalty in both target and non-target customers. This study has significance in that it addresses the need to identify research and academic implications by analyzing the consumer - tie-in promotion relationship to determine the relationship between tie-in promotion and loyalty, which has not been clearly described by previous studies. Furthermore, this study builds a foundation for firms and managers actively using tie-in promotion to establish tie-in promotion strategies that can maximize loyalty for both host and partner brands from the consumers' point of view.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of a balance training program using the TARGET Balance Trainer(TBT), which utilizes a visual target, on the balancing ability of normal, healthy individuals. Methods: Twelve healthy female students with an average of 20.7 years(SD=0.25), were participated in this study. They were randomly divided into two groups(6 subjects in each group); experimental group, control group. The experimental group underwent a 3-week training program using the TBT, while the control group trained using only a dynamic air cushion(DAC). Results: Compared to those who trained using only the DAC, participants who trained with the TBT had a smaller difference between the weights distributed(N) to their left and right foot while normal standing with their eyes open. The TBT group also showed a smaller discrepancy between the weights distributed(N) to their left and right sides while standing on one leg with their eyes open, and also with their eyes closed by eye band. Conclusions: TBT is effective to reduce the degree of weight shifting between left and right side in each group. This study is expected to provide a model for future clinical studies.

MicroRNAs play an important role in regulating gene expression, but their target identification is a difficult task due to their short length and imperfect complementarity. Burge and coworkers developed a program called TargetScan that allowed imperfect complementarity and established a procedure favoring targets with multiple binding sites conserved in multiple organisms. We improved their algorithm in two major aspects - (i) using well-defined UTR (untranslated region) database, (ii) examining the extent of conservation inside the 3' UTR specifically. Average length in our UTR database, based on the ECgene annotation, is more than twice longer than the Ensembl. Then, TargetScan was used to identify putative binding sites. The extent of conservation varies significantly inside the 3' UTR. We used the 'tight' tracks in the UCSC genome browser to select the conserved binding sites in multiple species. By combining the longer 3' UTR data, TargetScan, and tightly conserved blocks of genomic DNA, we identified 107 putative target genes with multiple binding sites conserved in multiple species, of which 85 putative targets are novel.

During the period of 1962 through 1981, a total of 11. 7 million cummulative acceptors have received contraceptive services under the national family planning program. The number of annual acceptors have steadly increased from 151, 200 in 1963 to 842, 200 in 1975, and since then it has maintained the range of 600, 000 to 800, 000 acceptors per year. From the beginning of the program, the IUD had been the principal method of contraception provided by the government program until 1976, at which time the government made female sterilization services available thorough the introduction of the laparoscopy method. The popularity of female sterilization has increased very rapidly during the last few years. Out of 614, 200 program acceptors in 1981, the proportion of female sterilization and IUD acceptors were virtually the same(26.8% and 27.2% respectively). Considering various anticipated problems such as a large proportion of contraceptive users for the fertility termination and the high discontinuation rates of IUD and other traditional method, the government has emphasized the distribution of female sterilization and deemphasized condom and pill contraceptives since 1978. However, the recent service statistics has revealed that the acceptance rate of female sterilization has steadly declined since 1979. Thus, the purpose of this analysis is to review the current government policy on contraceptive distribution with emphasis of female sterilization by estimating the prospect of sterilization acceptablilty. According to the Fifth Five-Year Plan for Family Planning Program(1982-1986) the annual average target of sterilization was set up to secure 230, 000 acceptors by the government sector during the period. If the sterilization target is to be met as planned, about 80 percent of exposed women aged 30-44 will be remained as sterilized women in 1985. This means the the high acceptance rate of sterilization shown in the past years can not be expected, unless the acceptors' age of sterilization is drastically lowered below 30 years. Accordingly, the current policy on contraceptive distribution with emphasis on sterilization should be gradually changed to encourage target population to use contraceptives for birth spacing by increasing access to such contraceptives as IUDs, pills, and condoms, and to improve continuation rates through better program management system including target setting, acceptors' follow-up, supervision, and evaluation system.
Investigation of the genetic functions in complex biological systems is a challenging step in recent year. Hence, several valuable and interesting research projects have been developed with novel ideas to find out the unknown functions of genes or proteins. To validate the applicability of their novel ideas, various approaches are built up. To date, the most promising and commonly used approach for discovering the target proteins from biological system using small molecule is well known a forward chemical genetics which is considered to be more convenient than the classical genetics. Although, the forward chemical genetics consists of the three basic components, the target identification is the most challenging step to chemical biology researchers. Hence, the diverse target identification methods have been developed and adopted to disclose the small molecule bound protein. Herein, in this review, we briefly described the first two parts chemical toolbox and screening, and then the target identifications in forward chemical genetics are thoroughly described along with the illustrative real example case study. In the tabular form, the different biological active small molecules which are the successful examples of target identifications are accounted in this research review.

The aim of this study is to reconstruct the 3D target volume from multiple projection images. It was assumed that we were already aware of the target position exactly, and all processes were performed in Target Coordinates whose origin was the center of the target. We used six projections: two projections were used to make a Reconstruction Box and four projections were for image acquisition. Reconstruction Box was made up of voxels of 3D matrix. Projection images were transformed into 3D volume in this virtual box using geometrical based back-projection method. Algorithm was applied to an ellipsoid model and horse-shoe shaped model. Projection images were created using C program language by geometrical method and reconstruction was also accomplished using C program language and Matlab(The Mathwork Inc., USA). For ellipsoid model, reconstructed volume was slightly overestimated but target shape and position was proved to be correct. For horse-shoe shaped model, reconstructed volume was somewhat different from original target model but there was a considerable improvement in target volume determination.
