항행 안전 시스템을 위한 안전 목표 수준 기반 위험 평가 방법론 (Hazard Assessment Methodology Based on Target Level of Safety for CNS/ATM System)

  • CNS/ATM 분야에서 안전 평가는 시스템을 개발하는데 반드시 필요한 개발 활동이다. 현재까지, 안전 평가와 관련된 많은 참고할 만한 자료들이 있으나 CNS/ATM분야에서 무엇을 어떻게 적용해야 할지 명확하게 명시된 자료는 없다. 또 다른 문제는 DO-278A기반으로 소프트웨어를 개발하기 위해서는 개발하고자 하는 소프트웨어에 대한 소프트웨어 보증 수준이 결정되어 있어야 한다. 하지만 개발 보증 수준을 결정하는 체계도 또한 정의되어 있지 않다. 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 ICAO Doc 9689에 정의된 안전 목표 수준을 기반으로 한 위험 평가를 수행하기 위한 방법을 제시한다. 항행 안전 시스템에서 일반적으로 적용 가능하도록 하기 위해 위험 평가 수행 절차를 수학적으로 표현하였으며 위험 평가를 위해 필요한 위험원의 심각도 분류, 발생 확률, 시스템 안전 목표 수준 등을 정의하고 위험 평가를 수행하기 위해 이벤트 트리 분석 절차를 적용하는 방법을 설명하였다.

한계상태설계를 위한 단일 쇄석다짐말뚝의 목표신뢰도지수 (Target Reliability Index of Single Gravel Compaction Piles for Limit State Design)

  • 목표신뢰도지수는 한계상태설계법에서 안전여유의 지표가 되며, 부분계수를 결정하는데 있어 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구에서는 한계상태설계법에서 필요로 하는 목표신뢰도지수의 결정을 위하여 쇄석다짐말뚝이 적용된 6개소의 설계-시공사례를 조사하였다. 쇄석다짐말뚝의 주요 파괴모드인 팽창파괴에 대한 한계상태함수를 정의하고, 일계신뢰성해석법(FORM)을 이용하여 극한지지력, 이론식별, 신뢰도수준을 평가하였다. 현행 쇄석다짐말뚝의 신뢰도지수는 허용응력설계법에 의해 산정된 안전율과 비례하는 경향을 보였으며, 평균 신뢰도지수는${\beta}$=2.30으로 평가되었다. 신뢰성해석에 의해 평가된 신뢰도 수준과 기존 구조물 기초에 대한 목표신뢰도지수를 비교 분석한바, 쇄석다짐말뚝 기초는 말뚝기초 및 얕은기초에 비하여 비교적 낮은 안정성 수준이 요구되며, 쇄석다짐말뚝의 현재 신뢰도수준은 보강토옹벽, 쏘일네일링에서 제안된 목표신뢰도지수와 유사한 범위를 보이므로 쇄석다짐말뚝의 목표신뢰도지수를 ${\beta}_T$= 2.33으로 제안하였다.

Application of inverse reliability method to estimation of flutter safety factors of suspension bridges

  • An efficient and accurate algorithm is proposed to estimate flutter safety factor of suspension bridges satisfying prescribed reliability levels. Uncertainties which arise from the basic wind speed at the bridge deck location, critical flutter velocity, the wind conversion factor from a scaled model to the prototype structure and the gust speed factor are incorporated. The proposed algorithm integrates the concepts of the inverse reliability method and the calculation method of the critical flutter velocity of suspension bridges. The unique feature of the proposed method is that it offers a tool for flutter safety assessment of suspension bridges, when the reliability level is specified as a target to be satisfied by the designer. Accuracy and efficiency of this method with reference to three example suspension bridges is studied and numerical results validate its superiority over conventional deterministic method. Finally, the effects of various parameters on the flutter safety factor of suspension bridges are also investigated.

Conceptual design study on Plutonium-238 production in a multi-purpose high flux reactor

  • Plutonium-238 has always been considered as the one of the promising radioisotopes for space nuclear power supply, which has long half-life, low radiation protection level, high power density, and stable fuel form at high temperatures. The industrial-scale production of 238Pu mainly depends on irradiating solid 237NpO2 target in high flux reactors, however the production process faces problems such as large fission loss and high requirements for product quality control. In this paper, a conceptual design study of producing 238Pu in a multi-purpose high flux reactor was evaluated and analyzed, which includes a sensitivity analysis on 238Pu production and a further study on the irradiation scheme. It demonstrated that the target structure and its location in the reactor, as well as the operation scheme has an impact on 238Pu amount and product quality. Furthermore, the production efficiency could be improved by optimizing target material concentration, target locations in the core and reflector. This work provides technical support for irradiation production of 238Pu in high flux reactors.

국내 케이슨 방파제의 활동에 대한 신뢰성 해석 및 부분안전계수 산정 (Reliability Analysis and Evaluation of Partial Safety Factors for Sliding of Caisson Breakwaters in Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 직립 방파제의 케이슨 활동에 대한 목표 신뢰도 지수와 부분안전계수를 산정하였다. 기존 방파제의 신뢰도 지수의 평균값을 보통의 안전도를 갖는 방파제에 대한 목표 신뢰도 지수로 제안하였다. 또한 국내외 방파제의 해석에 기초하여 높은 안전도 또는 낮은 안전도의 목표 신뢰도 지수도 제안하였다. 다음에는 국내 12개 방파제 단면에 대해 각각 계산한 부분안전계수를 평균하여 각 안전도에 대한 부분안전계수를 제안하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 부분안전계수를 사용하여 계산한 신뢰도 지수가 JPHA(2007)의 완경사 결과와 급경사 결과 사이에 위치함을 보임으로써 제안된 부분안전계수의 적합성을 부분적으로 검증하였다. 제안된 부분안전계수를 이용하여 기존 방파제의 케이슨 폭과 신뢰도 지수를 역으로 계산하였다. 결정론적 설계법으로 설계된 기존 방파제의 신뢰도 지수가 큰 변동 폭을 보이는 반면, 부분안전계수법으로 계산된 값은 작은 변동 폭을 보인다. 이는 목표 파괴확률이 주어졌을 때 부분안전계수법으로 일관성 있는 설계를 할 수 있음을 의미한다.

  • In this study, supervision resides fire mission against problems associated with case studies and surveys done through the side of the field work, technical personnel, fire management, including fire code aspects classified into three kinds of items dealt with the issue. Started at the scene of the problem in terms of performance, the issue of the construction process, mainly dealt with the issue at the time of completion. Fire management side, supervisor of technical personnel, human resources management issues, contract issues, fire code level, the frequent revisions of fire regulations, supervision, processing delays of the resulting report, the problem resides with the expansion of Fire Supervision target was mentioned. Finally, the target for each hierarchical supervision, and resident supervisor of the need for supervision of work performance test was carried out by the correlation.

  • Currently, it has been a fashion to include RAMS of rolling stock in the order for purchasing the rolling stock. However, it's only to suggest a qualitative value or an ideal target without giving or demonstrating actual RAMS target, with only demonstrating passive RAMS by the data provided by the manufacturer. In the case of KTX project of 100 cars of KTX-II contracted in June 2006, their target has been suggested from the previous RAMS application standard and it aimed to achieve the reliability level of equivalent high speed rolling stock. Afterward, as actual KTX-II RAMS Plan and RAMS Demonstration Plan has been prepared and approved, it has been the first problem to secure the reliability and safety in order to introduce the new high speed rolling stock(KTX-II) successfully and we actually tried to apply overseas RAMS standard, KTX samples, electric railcar MTRC and rolling stock samples. This Report was dealt world trends of Railway RAMS standard, KTX-II RAMS Specifications, the present condition of KTX-II RAMS performance and development a way of KTX-II RAMS, We hope the "KTX-II RAMS Application Standard for Safety of Passenger Transportation Service" is served as an opportunity for the basic research for establishing and demonstrating RAMS target of components or parts composing the rolling stock system.

A Study on Incidence of Risk Factor for Assessing Maritime Traffic Risk

  • In order to assess risk as a basic step for securing safety, it requires to select risk factors and determine the frequency and the severity of the consequence of each risk factor. This research adopted common risk factors among well-known maritime risk assessment models, and proposed objective criteria to gauge the risk level of each risk factor. The starting points of risk evolution were chosen for criteria according to related studies and seafarers' experience. The rate of risk appearance over the criteria is named as the incidence of risk factor. Therefore, the total risk level is expressed as the combination of incidence of each risk factor and severity. This quantitative method would be applied to measuring and comparing the risk level of target maritime zones, and it would also be useful to survey which risk factor be focused for reducing the total risk of a certain maritime zone.

  • Government evaluate annually a performance of government's R&D(Research & Development) and decide a budget and progress. So, a performance target setting of R&D is very important at the planning, The basic performance target setting of railroad R&D is clear. However, a scientific and technological performance target setting of railroad R&D is very difficult and a reasonable level of it can not be judged. Therefore, this study will suggest a solution for a scientific and technological performance target setting of railroad R&D through regression analysis of successfully finished railroad R&D, after judging a reasonability of a scientific and technological performance through comparing railroad R&D with the other R&D.

역해석법에 의한 피복재의 부분안전계수 산정 (Evaluation of Partial Safety Factors of Armor Units by Inverse-Reliability Analysis)

  • A reliability model of Level II AFDA is developed to analyze the stability of armor units on the sloped coastal structures. Additionally, the partial safety factors of random variables related to armor units can be straightforwardly evaluated by applying the inverse-reliability method in which influence coefficients and uncertainties of random variables, and target probability of failure are combined directly. In particular, a design equation for armor units is derived in terms of the same criteria as deterministic design method in order to apply the reliability-based design method of Level I without some understanding to the reliability analysis. Finally, it is confirmed that several results redesigned by the reliability-based design method of Level I have satisfactorily agreement with results of CEM as well as those of Level II AFDA.
