  • These days, a penetration of distributed generation(DG) has increased in power system. Due to increased penetration of DG, a whole system is forced to install the maximum hosting capacity of DG. Therefore analysis between the maximum hosting capacity of DG at the target bus and the whole system is important. If we know the maximum hosting capacity, it will be able to satisfy the demand of system planner and customer. In this paper, we use a genetic algorithm to calculate the hosting capacity with optimization program using Design Analysis Kit for Optimization and Terascale Applications(DAKOTA). To consider a real system, we establish constraints and use IEEE 34 node test system. In addition, through the correlation coefficient between the target bus and the other buses, when capacity of DG at the target bus increases, we analyze which capacity of DG at the other buses will be decreased.

  • The early test can greatly reduce the cost of error correction for system development. It is still important in SOA based service system. However, the existing methods of test case generation for SOA have limitations which are restricted to only web service using XML. Therefore, this paper proposes a method of test case generation using BPMN-based model reduction for service system. For minimizing test effort, an existing BPM is transformed into S-BPM which is composed of basic elements of workflow. The process of test case generation starts with making S-BPM concerning the target service system, and transforms the target service system into directed graph. And then, we generate several service scenarios applying scenario searching algorithm and extract message moving information. Applying this method, we can obtain effective test cases which are even unlimited to web service. This result is the generation of test case which is reflected in the business-driven property of SOA.

  • Multi-axial simulation table(MAST) is widely used in motor companies as the multi-axial excitor for vibration fatigue of target component, which provides the vibrational condition as close as the vehicle test. However, the vibration fatigue performance of target component can be guaranteed with MAST system only in case the input profile covers the required severity of the target component on field test. In this paper, the signal processing for multi-axial vibration fatigue test on vehicle component is presented, from the data acquisition of the target component to the derivation of input profile. To compare the severity of vibration condition between field and proving ground, the energy principle of a equivalent damage is proposed and then, it is determined the optimal combination of special events on proving ground using a sequential searching optimal algorithm. To explain the vibration methodology clearly, seat and door component of vehicle are selected as a example.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a methodology which can test and evaluate on system level in development phase of command guided missile system. Test and evaluation play a significant role in the development of weapon system, providing the means for determining to what extent the weapon system satisfies its requirements, whether it functions normally in the operational environment. In case of command guided missile having seeker, the missile communications link provides data to allow the missile to fly an efficient trajectory toward target. Therefore, it is very important to test and evaluate for data link between missile and radar on whole system aspect. we introduce the concept and devices for system level test and evaluation of command guided missile system.

  • This study considers reliability growth management as the excellent method for construction equipment development with the effect on decreasing COPQ(Cost of Poor Quality Cost) of new products. MIL-HDBK-189A(1981) and RADC-TR-84-20(1984) standards provide a general concept of reliability growth management including to reliability growth test, models and FRACAS(Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System). There is no study how to apply reliability growth management to construction equipment(or machine) development. This paper propose the method to apply it to construction equipment development process from the reliability target setting for developing products to launching them at market. It is expecially showing how to set target reliability for new developing equipment and the development risk to reach the reliability target in detail.

  • In this paper, a command and control (C2) system development using a network emulator is treated. Due to the development of information and communication technologies enabling reinforcement of information exchange and computational capability, an operational concept network centric warfare (NCW) was introduced. In here, it summarizes a developmental test environment build based on dummynet, one of the software based network emulator, and an operational concept of target command and control system. Moreover, I explain command and control system developmental test cases and results, and suggest an operational concept to overcome limitations of target communication system. I expect this concept will reduce data traffic of proposed C2 system especially plot messages which is distributed same data with short interval.

  • Nowadays, it is required to apply low observable technology to weapon systems in operation or under development. Radar Cross Section(RCS) is a measure of the scattered power in an given direction when a target is illuminated by an incident wave and used as a parameter to estimate the low observable performance of weapon system. RCS of a target can be calculated by various numerical methods. However, measurement is also needed to estimate RCS of a complex target because it is difficult to estimate theoretically. To acquire reliable measurement results, an analysis of measurement uncertainty is essential. In this paper, error components and uncertainties of near-field RCS measurement system which was constructed in ASTEC(Aerospace System Test & Evaluation Center) were analyzed based on the IEEE recommended practice for radar cross-section test procedures(IEEE Std. 1502-2007) which describes the uncertainty of RCS measurement and unique error components of this near-field measurement system were also identified.

  • Automotive Radar Systems are currently under development for various applications to increase accuracy and reliability. The target tracking is most important in single or multiple target environments for accuracy. The tracking algorithm provides smoothed and predicted data for target position and velocity(Doppler). To this end, the fixed gain filter(${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter, ${\alpha}{\beta}{\gamma}$ filter) and dynamic filter(Kalman filter, Singer-Kalman filter, etc) are commonly used. Gating is used to decide whether an observation is assigned to an existing track or new track. Gating algorithms are normally based on computing a statistical error distance between an observation and prediction. The data association takes the observation-to-track pairings that satisfied gating and determines which observation-to-track assignment will actually be made. For data association, NNPDA(Nearest Neighbor Probabilistic Data Association) algorithm is proposed. In this paper, we designed a target tracking system developed for an Automotive Radar System. We show the experimental results of the 77GHz FMCW radar sensor on the roads. Four tracking algorithms(${\alpha}{\beta}$ filter, ${\alpha}{\beta}{\gamma}$ filter, 2nd order Kalman filter, Singer-Kalman filter) have been compared and analyzed to evaluate the performance in test scenario.

  • The temperature control system which is using liquid and gaseous nitrogen has been known as the most economical system to simulate space temperature condition due to relatively not expansive price of the liquid nitrogen (less than 0.2 USD per liter). And, among these systems, the closed loop system which circulates compressed nitrogen gas come from sprayed liquid nitrogen by blower and makes a target temperature with heat from an electrical heater and flow rate of liquid nitrogen is prevail all over the world. But, this complete closed loop system requires expansive equipments such as blower, heater, and liquid nitrogen injector, and special maintenance on the system. Therefore, KARI is developing efficient and simple open loop system which utilizes liquid and gaseous nitrogen with eliminating a special blower and other expansive units. In this study, this open loop system with more efficiency and flexibility will be designed and introduced.
