u-City service Model based on Implementation and Adaptability

  • The realization of u-City is coming near in some local governments by applying various city services, namely, u-City services to the city construction field to improve competitiveness of the city. But it is a reality that some local governments are experiencing many trial and errors in application of the u-City service in addition to the problem posing that the u-City service is not considering characteristics of development or application environment of an individual city. The present research proposes a service model for on-site application of the u-City service to solve this problem. The proposed model suggests a method for specifically conceptualizing and objectifying the on-site application that the existing concept-oriented model or an architecture-oriented model, etc. didn't provide. The verification system on effectiveness or effects of the u-City service model to remove ambiguity on the u-City service especially. The verification system of the u-City service model grasps the technology, function, procedure and target, etc. that the u-City service contains, evaluates whether the model satisfies conditions that the model should have, and secures objectivity and predictability of the u-City service model through confirmation on propriety, implementation and effectiveness, etc.

  • This paper reorganized five service qualities dimensions of ski-resorts, then derived the improvement priority order of the service quality through a satisfaction measure considering the importance. There're more competitive situations to guarantee customers using the skies and snowboards is a major sports in winter season. In these competitive environments, this paper's going to propose a predominant-competitive strategies for improving the service quality of ski-resorts. This study measured the satisfaction considering the importance of service quality target on customers has an experience ski resort service quality to improve ski resort service quality. This study using Performance Model decide a priority order about a particular item improvement, then is going to present a guideline that can improve the service quality more exactly. As a result of the study the factors that is important to the customer were prime physical factor, access, assistance physical factor, staff service and assistant service, an improvement priority order were accommodation and eating-drinking facilities, waiting time of a slope and lift/gondola, entertainment/shopping facilities in the resorts, equipment rental and lift fare.

Method to Support Handover for Service Continuity based on IMS in Wireless LAN (무선랜 환경에서 서비스 연속성 지원을 위한 IMS 기반 핸드오버 지원 방안)

  • This paper proposes a L3 handover method to minimize packet loss for supporting service continuity to IMS Terminal which has a single WLAN interface. The existing IMS based handover solution is able to support handover between different access networks in case that a terminal has multiple interfaces. That is, WLAN terminals need multiple interfaces to connect with one or more access networks. This proposed method configures IP address for the terminal in target WLAN previously by using Candidate Access Router Discovery(CARD) mechanism. Also, in the proposed method, service continuity server performs L3 connection establishment in target WLAN and registration to IMS server instead of the terminal. And then session control mechanism based on SIP is performed to support service continuity. We analyzed handover latency and signaling cost in the proposed method and existing method to show the improved performance by the proposed method.

  • Component-Based Development (CBD) focuses on developing reusable components and assembling them into target applications. Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) is a relatively new paradigm where reusable services are developed, published, and composed into target service applications. Due to the popularity of CBD, many organizations already have CBD models for their applications. Hence, it is feasible and appealing to develop SOC applications economically by transforming existing CBD models, rather than developing SOC applications from the scratch. Our research is to develop a methodology for transforming existing CBD design into Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) design. In this paper, we first compare the two paradigms and their key elements for the design; CBD design and SOA design. Then, we define mapping relationships of the transformation. For each transformation mapping, we present step-wise instructions. The benefit of applying this transformation is to increase reusability of existing design assets, to maintain the consistency between existing CBD and SOC models, and reduced cost for deploying service-oriented applications.

A Study on the Analysis of Spatial Characteristics with Respect to Regional Mobility Using Clustering Technique Based on Origin-Destination Mobility Data (기종점 모빌리티 데이터 기반 클러스터링 기법을 활용한 지역 모빌리티의 공간적 특성 분석 연구)

  • Mobility services need to change according to the regional characteristics of the target service area. Accordingly, analysis of mobility patterns and characteristics based on Origin-Destination (OD) data that reflect travel behaviors in the target service area is required. However, since conventional methods construct the OD data obtained from the administrative district-based zone system, it is hard to ensure spatial homogeneity. Hence, there are limitations in analyzing the inherent travel patterns of each mobility service, particularly for new mobility service like Demand Responsive Transit (DRT). Unlike the conventional approach, this study applies a data-driven clustering technique to conduct spatial analyses on OD travel patterns of regional mobility services based on reconstructed OD data derived from re-aggregation for original OD distributions. Based on the reconstructed OD data that contains information on the inherent feature vectors of the original OD data, the proposed method enables analysis of the spatial characteristics of regional mobility services, including public transit bus, taxi and DRT.

  • Although there are many positive sides of the current fee-for-service payment schedule, there is a strong necessity to control the rapidly increasing national healthcare expenditure. The global budget is often mentioned as one prominent alternative for solutions. In this article, both microscopic and macroscopic approaches are considered to set the hospital medical expenditure budget. In a macroscopic aspect, the SGR model, which considers the financial limit of the healthcare system, is used to set the next year target budget. In addition, the DEA model is used to measure the inefficiency and cost recognition. In this article, the national medical target expenditure is distributed to an individual hospital based on the level of efficiency. By combining the SGR and DEA, it will be possible to set a real world applicable target medical expenditure budget model.

  • The information protection security diagnosis institution was applied services since 2004, for the leveling up of public information protection and the establishment of the stability and reliability of information communication. And this security diagnosis was however, recognized by the some firms as one of the unnecessary regulations. And there are some difficulties with collecting the subjective and reliable source data for establishing the information protection security diagnosis target. In this research, the enhanced model on the selection of information protection security diagnosis target firms was suggested by the interview with some expert and the analysis for the related actual data. By the model which are introduced from the statistical analysis of the related data and the summary of some expert's suggestions, information protection security diagnosis target can include the information telecommunication service providers taking 5 billion won as sales in a year, and web service providers like as shopping mall site, with the personal records of 2 million subscribers.

A Strategy to Improve Service Quality Satisfaction in Super-Super-Market

  • Recently, Super-Super-Market(SSM) is facing more and more difficult situation due to the expansion of hypermarket and target marketing of specialized shop. In this situation, Customer Satisfaction Management(CSM) is emerging as a core business factor to make continuous growth without competitive exclusion. Especially, the first factor in CSM in distribution industry is a Service Quality Satisfaction. In this paper, with a selection of 3-markets as a sample for the research, I have tried to look for necessary Service Quality(SQ) factors in SSM and deduced Service Quality Index(SQI), loyalty and Index of detail factor in SQ through survey. Based on these results, strategic factors required to improve SQ was found and strategic directions for SQ were proposed through matrix portfolio analysis.

  • Since various type of wireless/mobile network likes WLAN, WIBRO, HSDPA were come to us, technology providing high quality multimedia service while user move are actively researched such as MIH (Media Independent Handover) proposed by IEEE for interworking between heterogeneous network and CMIP (Client Mobile IP), PMIP (Proxy Mobile IP) for mobility. Despite the technology about interworking and handover between heterogeneous network are actively researched, handover decision method need to be researched. In this paper we suggest a simple and effective handover method for high quality multimedia service in real wireless environment. For this, we use MIH+CMIP platform for target multimedia service to make handover decision rule in WIBRO and HSDPA networks. After apply this rule, we verified effectiveness of handover decision method through real test.

Exploring the Antecedents of Price Fairness in the Fast Food: A case of McDonald's

  • This study aims to investigate the influencing attributes on price fairness in the domain of fast food service context. As the research subject, this research selects McDonald's business because of its market share in the fast food market. Five attributes are examined to account for price fairness. The attributes are advertising attitude, employee service, waiting, convenience, and brand love. This study performed survey to collect the data. The survey participants are university students because they are essential market segment for fast food business. The number of observation is 299 for the data analysis. To analyze the data, this research used various statistical instruments (e.g., frequency analysis, mean and standard computation, exploratory factor analysis, reliability test, correlation matrix, and multiple regression analysis). Regarding the results, this research identified advertising attitude, employee service, and brand love are influential attributes to establish price fairness of university students. This research could inform the marketing director of food service business to understand university students target better.
