The present study demonstrates karyotype based on H-patterns of A.fistulosum and A. ascalonicum using Giemsa technique. The results obtained in this study are summarized as follows: I). Karyotypic analysis of A. fistulosum is 6VII＋$JII^t＋JII$ and that of A. ascalonicum collected from a local farm in the suberbs of Taegu city clearly heterozygous as $13V＋J_1^t＋J_2＋i. ii$). The heterochromatin of both species is generally located distally in both arms of chromosomes and each chromosome type possesses some variations on H-patterns. iii). The percentage of heterochromatin to total chromosome length in cell is about 14.6% in A. fistulosum, 12.8% in A. ascalonicum. The number of bands is revealed about 38 in A. fistulosum and 33 in A. ascalonicum. Also in the amounts of chromocenters per nucleus, the former is somewhat more than the latter.

The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of adolescent-percived family cohesion on adolescent adjustment. The 443 subjects were selected were selected randomly from the second grade of middle and high schools in the city of Taegu. The instruments of measurement were FACES lll, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Depression Scale, and Self-Esteem Scale. Factor analysis, Cronbach's α, MANOVA, and Scheffe test were conducted for the data analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows: The degree fo adolescent adjustment could be different according to the level of family cohesion. Especially, adolescents who perceived their families as high in cohesion felt anxiety and depression less, and had high selt-esteem in comparison with other levels of cohesion.

The purpose of this study was to examine Korean mothers' child rearing beliefs for their infant/toddlers and to compare young mothers' child rearing beliefs with grandmothers'. The subject was composed of 130 pairs of young mothers whose first child is 2 - 2 and half years old and their mothers(grandmothers) in Taegu city area. The major results of findings were as follows : 1. The Korean mothers' Infant/toddler Rearing Beliefs had four subfactors in both area of Interdependence and Independence. 2. Korean young mothers and grandmothers had higher infant/toddler rearing beliefs of interdependence than those of independence. 3. Korean grandmothers had higher infant/toddler rearing beliefs of interdependence than young mothers. 4. Korean young mothers had higher infant/toddler rearing beliefs of independence than grandmothers. 5. While Korean grandmothers had mainly infant/toddler rearing beliefs of interdependence, Korean young mothers had both infant/toddler rearing beliefs of independence and those of interdependence.

This study examines the general reuse plan for deteriorated multi-family housing (apartrtments) in the urban fringe of Taegu City. The apartments which were built in the 1970's have to be improved. It is necessary to carry out the actual investigation for alternatives of reconstruction or reuse. From the above point of view, the study lays its purpose to find pertinent directions for the reasonable reuse plan, and gets on as follows; 1) Analize the residential state for users' needs of detoriorated aprtments through an investigation. 2) Synthesize the experts' opinions about matters related to reuse planning through a questionnaire. 3) Suggest the general solutions in three areas; unit dwelling, housing site, equipment and facilities, Finally, in the future housing development projects, concepts of reuse planning should be reflected beforehand.

In this study, various factors affect on the reconstruction of the deteriorated apartment housing complex in the Taegu-City were analyzed. The conclusions obtained in this research were summarized as follows; 1) In case of 4 to 5 storied apartment buildings, those were main objects for reconstruction. The number of the buildings and households consisting apartment complex and the total building area and the ground area were appeared as major factors. Those factors were highly correlated with the consensus of reconstruction. 2) As a maximun area of reconstruction was limited, higher existing consensus capacity and its ratio affect negatively on reconstruction of deteriorated apartments. 3) The main motivation for reconstruction is disadvantages among the members of reconstruction association were main obstacles to reconstruct the deteriorated apartment buildings. Therefore, a resoanble alternatives for reconstruction plans and administrative managements were needed.

This study is for the development of C.B.D. residential land that is available in the changeable housing market and urban planning paradigm. The results are as follows. First, we developed a Logit model to analyzed the suitable resident for living downtown and we used several variables in the model such as their living place, the location of their works, in come according to sex and age, and whether they have a car or not. Second, in analysis for the suitable residents using the Logit model, the main demanders who live in C.B.D. or have a job there and the young and old were chosen, Third, it shows that the suitable residents prefer semi-C.B.D. because it has convenient accessibility to C.B.D. rater quickly (in ten minutes). They prefer apartment and Mixed-Use building. Fourth, there are much residential land in semi-C.B.D. (63.7%) so as to support enough land in ease of redevelopment. The land price is tremendously low compared to that of land for business or for C.B.D.

The purpose of this study was to examine the usefulness of Beavers Systems Model on adolescent adjustment. For this study adolescents' perceptions of family health/competence family style and adolescent adjustment were utilized. The 443 subjects were selected randomly from the second grade of middle schools and high schools in the city of Taegu. The instruments of measurement were SFI II State-Trait Anxiety Inventory Depression Scale Self-Esteem Scale and Delinquency Scale. Factor Analysis Cronbach's a, MANOVA and Scheffe test were conducted for the data analysis. The conclusion of this research findings was as follows: There is significant differences I nadolescents' anxiety depression global self-esteem social-peer self esteem property predatory behaviors and school-norm avoidant behaviors by the family functioning types of BSM. Therefore the group classification by BSM was generally useful in evaluating adolescent adjustment.

In this study, the urban runoff models, ILLUDAS model and SWMM, are analyzed the probable peak discharge and discharge using rainfall distribution by Huff's method at Bum-uh chun area in Taegu city. The probability rainfall and intensity is analyzed by Pearson-III type. The rainfall duration, 90 minutes, is determined by the critical duration computed the maximun peak discharge for some rainfall durations. The peak discharge according to Huff's rainfall distribution types compute in order of type 3, type 4, type2, and type 1, so Huff's 3 type is selected as an adequate rainfall distribution in Bum-uh chun basin. ILLUDAS model and SWMM are shown as good models in Bum-uh chun, but SWMM is computed higher peak discharge than ILLUDAS model, so SWMM is shown as the adequate urban runoff model for the design of interior drainage in urban basin.

This treatise measures and estimate sound insulation performance of apartment house. Sound insulation performance measured to the floor and wall. An appropriate amount of samples, collected from three each paddy forest, field and riverside soil near Taegu city, was suspended in sterile water and then diluted in order to isolation of antagonistic to oral cancer. The diluted samples were inoculated on separating medium in the routing spreading method. So, seven hundred and eighteen strains were isolated on HV agar and 220 strains were on methanol medium from soil samples. So, during the screening of anti-oral cancer activity from soil, we isolated microorganisms showing powerful antagonistic activity. Among them, No. 78 strain exhibited the most strongly anti-oral cancer activity. Microbiological properties were investigated by the methods described in the Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology and experimental methods of identification of actinomycetes by Hamada et al. As a result, a methylotrophic actinomycetes strain No. 79 was estimated as Amycolatopsis sp. based on taxonomic studies.
