태극침법(太極鍼法)의 확장형인 오장원혈침법(五臟原穴鍼法)의 적응증 연구 - "황제내경(黃帝內經).영추(靈樞)"를 중심으로 - (A study on the indications of Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture extended from Taegeuk Acupuncture : Focused on Yeoungchu(靈樞))

  • Objective : By establishing the Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture as the targeted acupuncture treatment for stadardization, as the first step, this study was conducted to sort the indications of each acupuncture remedies, which can be referred as one of the most important factors in acupuncture treatment, based on Yeoungchu. Method : This study selected only the contents related to indications of five viscera, by extracting the relevant sentences from Yeoungchu using the search words Liver(Liver Meridian, First Yin), Heart(Pericardium, Heart Meridian, Second Yin), Spleen(Spleen meridian, Third Yin), Lung(Lung Meridian, Third Yin), and Kidney(Kidney Meridian, Second Yin). Result & Conclusion : 1. We selected and extracted text related to liver disease from Chapter 16, heart (pericardium) disease from Chapter 16, spleen disease from Chapter 19, lung disease from Chapter 17, and finally kidney disease from Chapter 17 of Yeoungchu. 2. The basic theory of applying Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture to five viscera diseases is first assorting the diseases according to its state (i.e. deficiency or excess), then draining the source point of the appropriate viscus in case of excess, or supplementing the source point of the appropriate viscus in case of deficiency. 3. For the correct application of Five Viscera Source Point Acupuncture, the classification of the disease, not only the judgement on its state, must be presented systematically and synthetically in combination with Four Examinations. Therefore the follow-up studies needs to be conducted.

외상성 뇌손상 환자의 공격성에 대한 치료 1례 (Traditional Korean Medicine Treatment of a Traumatic Brain Injury Patient with Aggressive Behavior)

  • Objective: To describe the effectiveness of traditional Korean medicine (TKM) on a patient showing aggressive behavior after a traumatic brain injury. Methods: We used complex TKM treatments. The acupoints used were as follows: Soyangin Taegeuk acupuncture (HT3, KI3, and SP3) and acupoints frequently used in hemiparesis (GV20, GV24, ST4, LI11, LI4, ST36, GB34, SP9, and LR3). Moxibustion was also applied to GV20, and herbal medicine (Samulanshin-tang-gami, 四物安神湯 加味方) was administered. The efficacy was evaluated at baseline, week 8, and week 16 using the Modified Overt Aggression Scale (MOAS). Results: After 8 weeks, the total MOAS score was decreased from 13 to 5, and this score was maintained until week 16. The average sleep time was increased and waking up during the night was decreased. Conclusions: We suggest that TKM could be effective for reducing aggressive behavior and alleviating sleep disturbances. Further studies are needed.

한국 참구의학의 체질관점과 실용적 통합치료 의학으로서의 특징 (Constitutionally individualized and practically integrated characteristics of Korean Acupuncture)

  • Objectives: Although Korean Acupuncture (KA) in Korean Medicine (KM) shares its origins with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), it has made its own contribution to the field of acupuncture and general medicine. This study reviews characteristics of KA. Methods: Representative theories of KA were reviewed in light of a constitutionally individualized and practically integrated approach. Individualized approach in KA is based on constitutional energy traits recognized in Saam, Taegeuk, and Eight Constitution acupuncture theories. New practically integrated therapeutic modalities, such as herbal, and bee venom acupunctures, have also been developed in KA. Results: As a form of natural medicine, KA along with KM put emphasis on the vitality and self-correcting mechanism of an individual, which led to the refinement of constitutional approach. KA along with KM theories features a summarized understanding and practical application of integrated therapeutics, which produced creative development of new modalities. Conclusions: KA is expected to make significant contributions to the individualized and practical medicine, based on basic research and clinical trials.

  • Jeong(精) and Sin(神) have very close relation in "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)", and jeong(精) is base of sin(神). Jeong is the origin of life force, Sin can be manifested through the Yin-yang inter conversion of Jeong, on the other hand, Jeong can be created through the same conversion of Sin. The Yin-yang inter conversion of Jeong or Sin, means the inclination of Taegeuk(太極) to Unification after division, in this process, life force and creative power are made.

  • This thesis analyzed the research method of Janggaebin(張介賓), a Traditional Chinese Medical expert in Ming Dynasty who studied traditional Chinese medicine in the perspective of Yeokri(易理). In his research, he mainly uses Hado(河圖), Nakseo(洛書) and Eight Diagrams to study medicine issues, the theory of Taegeuk(太極) figures to research natural evolvement, the ancient astronomy and calendar to explain the difficult problems in the theory of Ungi(運氣). This thesis has great value in understanding Janggaebin's medical thoughts and can guide further research on investigating the common root between traditional Chinese medicine and Yeokri.

  • The universe has its order of yang and yin : all creation are continuously generated, grow and die, which is the results of the harmonious operation by yang and yin. Among all creation, the human is one of the samjae(three bases of the world, which are heaved earth, and man) and he is from the combined sukhi(a superior khi) of yang and yin. And human life itself is basically a condensed jonghyul (life blood) and at the same time it is only a transient joining of sadae(the four elements of earth, air, fire and water). Yang and yin, the two axes of the world, therefore. are the most crucial and fundamental concept to explain the generation and extinction of alt creation, to understand people in time and space. to find out the reality of human life as an organism, and, at last, to observe the state of human health. If so, what is the most essential idea in yang and yin\ulcorner It is taegeuk(chungkhi) or tao(of one yang and one yin). If the property of heaven and earth is kongon, taegeuk is a khi and tao a principle. And it can be said that a human body is merely a union of hyung and khi, that human life is an essence of sambo, jeongkhishin, that human health is a harmoninzed coordination of yang and yin because it is from the combined sukhi of yang and yin. Hyung. a vessel for sambo, jeongkhishin, is at the bottom and shin is on the top : the personality and the disposition of individuals differ according to their working. Thus. on the basis of the above discussion. the following can be offered as some suggestions for Korean Nursing Theory. Though human beings are part of Nature, they are the most eminent microcosm among all creation. So, as a subjet for nursing, a person should be understood with khijok kyoryu rather than with logical thinking, then mutual trust between the patient and the nurse can be established. The health of a person depends on the harmony of yang and yin. To be healthy, a person should consider harmonization with Nature(including his surroundings) as well as a balanced human relationships in society. Moreover, it is crucial for each person to obtain hoshim as a method of mind control rather than to only treat the symptoms of disease.

강증산의 '개벽'과 새로운 문명 ('Gaebyeok' and the New Civilization of Kang Jeungsan)

  • 본 연구는 강증산의 개벽사상을 문명론적 관점으로 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한말 개화기 동아시아 문명권의 위축과 물질문명을 앞세운 서구 열강의 동점은 문명적 충격 속에서 새로운 문명전환을 촉발하는 동인으로 작용했다. 척사파와 개화파와 다르게 근대한국 개벽종교 역시 서구 근대에 대한 구체적인 대응과 새로운 문명론을 제시하는 등 개벽파의 일정한 흐름으로 이어졌다. 특히 강증산은 차별과 억압에 저항하여 조화문명과 상생문명을 제시했으며, 이성 중심의 서구적 근대를 비판하면서 신인공공(神人公共) 문명을 제시했다. 증산은 서구 근대문명이 확산하는 과정에서 당시의 상하 귀천, 남녀차별, 정치부패, 지배층의 착취와 외세의 침략 등 사회 내외의 사회모순 속에서 신음하던 민중들에게 새 문명의 건설을 선언했다. 증산은 물질 중심주의와 인간소외 등을 비판하고 그러한 병폐들로부터 민중들을 구제하는 제생의세 실천으로 이어졌고 개벽을 주장했다. 이것은 묵은 하늘에 대한 청산을 통한 새 하늘 선언이며, 조화와 통합, 살림을 지향하는 새 문명을 건설하려는 노력의 표출이었다. 증산이 지향한 새로운 문명은 상생의 도에 의해 운행되는 사회이고, 인간이 신과 같은 존귀한 존재로 대접받는 인존의 시대로 집약된다. 증산이 구상한 새로운 문명은 동서양의 사상과 문명을 통합하는 조화문명((調和文明)이며, 신인공공(神人公共)의 문명이었다. 또한, 증산의 삶은 민중들의 삶을 구제해 주기 위한 제생의세(濟生醫世)의 삶이었다. 이후 무극도·태극도의 상생 운동 역시 증산이 지향한 문명 건설을 위한 노력이었다.

대순사상의 궁극적 실재론 연구 - 인격성과 이법성의 변증법적 지양과 종합을 중심으로 - (Ultimate Realism of Daesoon Thought)

  • The aim of this study is to determine the property of Daesoon thought in theory of God. The difference with precedent research is that this study catch the point in which theism as theology conflicts ontology as philosophy. It is elusive without philosophical analysis to detect this point for reasons of religious expression on scriptures. To find this point is beginning of academic communication at religious position. So I tried to draw boundary between theology and philosophy in Daesoon thought so as to apprehend Daesoon thought treats the contradiction of that. The contradiction is found that hierarchy between Sangje and taegeuk reverses on Daesoon thought. Fundamentally two substance can't be arranged to ontology but only one can be. It seems that Daesoon thought has got antinomy. However superiority of Daesoon thought is appeared at this point. The antinomy is just the process to absolute truth of Tao. That is a progressive system of thought in both religious and philosophical aspect. Finally, the result of this study can be organized with five items. First is to get new direction to study of Daesoon thought to catch the clash between theology and ontology. Second is that Daesoon thought can communicate the mainstream philosophy like Hegel's while the argumentation makes progress with Hegel's thought. Third is that Daesoon thought has originality in ontology of tao, mugeuk, tageuk as compared with neo-Confucianism. Forth is that theology of Daesoon thought has the possibility to peace among religions. Fifth is that Daesoon thought transcends religion and philosophy to absolute truth. Particularly, the noteworthy item is about peace among religions as theme of religious practice as the needs of times. The conflict of religion is very serious impact to historic future. So Daesoon thought suggests that all the religions harmonize with each other in universality and respect each other in distinctiveness. It makes it possible to aims for world peace beyond theory to practical orientation on religious creed. In history of philosophy the dialetic of Hegel is the very adequate to explain that principle. Hegel argued that human mind can reach to the absolute knowledge at 『Phänomenologie des Geistes』. He elucidates the process that mind attain the absolute knowledge through movement of negation at 『Phänomenologie des Geistes』. The dialetics leads all the process of mind to finality of the absolute spirit.

Current Status of Korean Ginseng Products and Trends in Enhanced Functional Ginseng Products

  • The abolishment of the red ginseng monopoly act by the Korean government in 1996 resulted in a drastic change in the Korean ginseng industry, leading to a significant increase in the market size and consumption of ginseng products. Red ginseng is most popular type, with approximately 74% of harvested fresh ginseng being processed into various red ginseng products. Since 1997, there has been a substantial increase in the cultivation of ginseng for production of red ginseng, which, in turn, has contributed to the proliferation of ginseng processing companies. To investigate the products of ginseng manufacturing businesses, we select 200 companies primarily engaged in ginseng processing or specializing solely in ginseng. Our survey on the status of ginseng industry covered 8 different categories. 1) Root ginseng: There were 66 companies involved in manufacturing red ginseng root, accounting for 33.0% of all surveyed companies. This was followed by black ginseng root with 36 companies (18.0%) and red ginseng fine roots with 22 companies (11%). 2) Red ginseng products: A total of 144 companies were involved in manufacturing red ginseng pouches, making it the most common product category. This was closely followed by 142 companies producing pure(100%) red ginseng extract concentrate. 3) Fermented red ginseng products: Companies producing fermented red ginseng extract concentrate products were the most numerous, totaling 26. Following this, companies producing fermented red ginseng stick and pouch products were next in line. 4) Ginseng products: There were 15 companies involved in the production of ginseng products, with the majority focusing on ginseng tea. 5) Black ginseng products: Companies producing black ginseng extract concentrate were the most numerous, with 31 companies, followed by 26 companies producing black ginseng extract pouches. 6) Taegeuk ginseng products: Only 5 companies were involved in the production of taegeuk ginseng products. 7) Fermented black ginseng, and 8) Ginseng berry products: These categories are manufactured by less than 5 companies each. However, the variety in ginseng berry products suggests the potential for future growth. In the 2000s, a trend emerged with the development of new processed products aimed at enhancing the functional components of red ginseng, and these products have captured the attention of consumers. However, this study primarily focuses on black ginseng, fermented red ginseng/fermented black ginseng, and ginseng berry products as they have exerted a significant influence on the overall ginseng industry.

한국 및 베트남 전통문양을 응용한 넥타이 디자인 개발 (Application and Development of Korean and Vietnamese Traditional Patterns on Necktie Design)

  • 세계적으로 넥타이는 착용자의 이미지를 표상하게 됩니다. 따라서 특히 넥타이 디자인에 각국의 문화적 요소를 활용하는 것이 문화적 이미지의 패션 상품 디자인과 함께 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 한국 및 베트남의 전통문양을 학습에 적용 및 전통적인 문양에 관심을 더 이해할 수 있게 도와 연구팀은 이러한 문양을 활용하여 특별하고 양국의 문화를 내표한 고유하고 세련된 넥타이를 개발하고자 함이다. 우리는 또한 한국 및 베트남 전통문양 사이의 상징성 의미가 특히 유사한 문양을 설계도면 방법차이를 발견했다. 따라서 한국 및 베트남 문양 사이의 조합의 경우, 본 연구뿐만 아니라 국가의 특정 문화에 기여하는 다른 나라에 한국 및 베트남문양에 대한 미학의 측면을 소개하였다. 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다: 첫째, 한국 및 베트남 전통문양이 미학적, 실용성 및 문화유산의 가치가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 한국 및 베트남 전통문양의 소재로는 식물, 동물(조류, 곤충, 상상의 동물, 길상형상 및 문자, 기하형태 등이 있다. 셋째, 한국전통 기하문양의 태극문양과 베트남의 전통기하문양의 특별한 기원과 행운, 창조의 조화 등 의미가 있으며, 이들 각각의 문양은 국기에 사용되어 현대에 이르기 까지 양국가를 상징하는 공통점이 있다. 넷째, 한국 및 베트남의 우호증진을 기원하고 국제경쟁력이 있는 양국의 고유한 문화가 깃든 국제경쟁력이 있는 독특한 넥타이 상품개발을 위해, 양국의 대표적 전통 기하문양인 태극문양과 별문양을 응용하여 넥타이디자인을 행하였다.
