A measure is proposed to represent the degree of residuals from the symmetry model for square contingency tables with nominal categories. The measure is derivedby modifying the sum of squared singular values for a skew symmetric matrix of the residuals from the symmetry model. The proposed measure would be useful for comparing the degree of residuals from the symmetry model in several tables.

In this paper we propose procedures to enhance testability by modifying state transition tables. In these procedures, transitions about undefined states, which are not described in state transition tables but exist in a synthesized gate level circuit, are added to a state transition table. Experimental results for MCNC benchmarks are shown.

In this paper we show that the peak of the type I error rate of the Oochran-Armitage trend test could be greater than the nominal level when $2\;{\times}\;C$ contingency tables obtained from two multinomial distributions are extremely unbalanced. This result justifies the use of the exact Cochran-Armitage trend test in extremely unbalanced $2\;{\times}\;C$ contingency tables.

로그선형모형에 기반을 둔 다차원 임의 분할표를 생성하는 방법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 Lee(1997)가 제안한 선형 결합에 의한 결합분포 생성 방법을 적용하였으며, Pearson 통계량을 연관성 측도로 사용하는 것을 제안하였다. 세 변수가 서로 완전한 연관을 갖는 삼차원 결합분포를 생성할 수 있으므로 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 사차원 이상 다차원 임의 분할표를 생성하는 문제로 확장될 수 있다.

Pearson $X^2$ statistics can be used as the measure of association for two-way contingency tables. However, it's magnitude depends on the sample size N, the normalized index ${\phi}^2 = X^2\;/\;N$ has. been widely used in many researches instead of that. In this study, we firstly point out that the actual upper bound of ${\phi}^2$ can be affected by the given marginals of the tables, so that ${\phi}^2$ should be adjusted the actual maximum to get the proper range [ 0, 1]. Also we point out that the maximum could be found easily by using several algorithms like Hu and Mukerjee(2002). With the actual maximum, we propose the relative measure of association which is normalized by it.

Rural amenity resources are damaged without organized management infra. National rural resources institute perform the project of developing rural amenity infra techniques from 2005 to 2009 targeting 1,230 eup-myun rural community. There are many resource surveying project in national level. For avoiding duplicated investment, clear definition of rural amenity and essential surveying items are needed. In this study, concept of rural amenity and relation with resource are considered and 10 rural amenity resource tables and items considering management, accessibility, and amenity period are developed. Finally, developed tables and items are compared with items in previous developed surveying system.

많은 수의 범주형 변수에 의한 대규모 분할표 분석을 위하여 차원축소(collapsibility) 성질을 이용한 분석 방법을 제안하였다. kullback-Leibler의 발산 측도(divergence measure)를 이용한 서로 완전한 연관을 갖는 변수그룹을 결정하는 방법을 제안하였으며, 제안된 방법에 의한 변수그룹은 주변 로그선형모형(marginal log-linear models)에 의하여 변수들간의 연관성을 식별할 수 있다. 제안된 방법의 적용 예로 데이터 마이닝에서 흔히 접할 수 있는 대규모 분할표 자료인 소비자들의 구매행위 분석을 위한 장바구니 자료의 분석 결과를 제시하였다.

To reduce the interferences between the radio equipments which are operated in frequency hopping mode, the frequency resource should be assigned to each equipment without overlapping when several groups of radio equipments operate in the same area. If the radio equipments are in a different area, the partial frequency overlaying can be permitted. From the isotropic multi-dimensional array, several frequency assignment tables can be extracted for a same area. Also several tables can be extracted for different areas. Since there can be no overlapped frequencies between the tables for the same area, no interference between the radio equipments in an area is guaranteed. The frequencies overlapped between 2 tables for 2 different areas are pre-planed as required. The interference performance in frequency hopping radio can be controlled as desired using the proposed Frequency Resource Assignment Algorithm using Isotropic multi-dimensional Array.

In this paper, we propose a method of managing versions of XML documents by using relational databases. Data structures based on relational tables are developed for accommodating versions of XML documents. The structure information, the contents, and changes of the versions are stored in relational tables. Thus, SQL can be exploited in queries such as horizontal queries, vertical queries, and delta queries without parsing the documents. The structure information and contents of all versions are not represented explicitly in the tables, those of certain versions which are called snapshot versions are represented. Other versions are represented indirectly as sequences of operations that are stored in the corresponding tables. The experiment shows the space performance.

This paper developed the computerizing assessment system modeling of the natural gas and district heating DSM programs. It constructed as each project in accordance with the business investment plans & assessment DB, related M&V data DB and cost-effectiveness analysis data DB. It is composed of total 58 tables which are 22 tables which are used in the plan and the assessment, 16 tables which are used in the cost-effectiveness analysis, 18 tables which are used in the M&V, table which is used in qualitative evaluation, as by each programs. This computer programs can contributed to DSM business investment system construction as implementing for algorithm development and an estimation by each programs.
